Least apple now seeing the light of BTC and how good it is. Who knows maybe they consider to accept it for payments and their products maybe reduce cost of gadgets if using Bitcoin.

Is the source available for this?

No, unfortunately they don't provide it, as I've read.

I prefer Zakir over Muhammed when mentioning me!
Do you know how to sign a transaction in it? I couldn't find the option.

BTW, do we need these features in the app?
  - Option to choose how many digits should show after decimal point.
  - Opting to fetch the transaction for offline reference.
  - 'Push Notification' even after the app is closed.

Its a good app; I downloaded it days ago, and you can sign a transaction and send it with just copying&pasting it on the blockchain push tx web. Its strange that Apple allowed this app to be on the store, maybe they didn't notice... I'm an iOS Apps developer, and I've been trying to get one app aproved for a month...just because it let you to save any playable video, and according to them, that potentially allows you to download copyrighted videos! So I doubt they changed their mind regarding Bitcoin.... But I hope so!

I sent sollico a couple of mails telling possible improvements and bugs I had found, let's see if they add it! Its a very well designed app.

Apple has historically allowed some apps in, probably which slipped under the radar or were reviewed by someone who didn't know explicitly to block them. Once they become popular enough, this is usually called to someone's attention and they are removed.

Hope this policy has changed, of course, but we wouldn't count on it.

Hmmm, I wonder what Apple is going to do with this app.

Games!

No.... I really want to know what Apple wants to do with this app.

Company known for censorship, faulty products, and all along falling out of the original ideas for Apple. Wonder how a Bitcoin app will do.

This is progress, Apple must be planning something. Try hard to enable sending, that is the main function of any wallet. I suggest making it opensource for added trust. I don't know Apple's C Language, so try to find someone who does and get an audit at least. Good luck, don't get removed!

any updates on the source code request for jb'd devices?

for jailed, you can request developer to add, provision your device ID for beta software install.

Please release the source code to the app. It looks wonderful, but honestly, I can't help but get the too good to be true suspicion. Like the inputs.io situation.

It will also help make sure it's fully secure by having external audits.

I too, would love for ReCat to look over the source code and say that it's safe (as a non-programmer, the more the merrier IMO).
I'm hardly a programmer, And I don't know objective-C. It'd be best to be public so it can be audited by anyone.

I just downloaded this app and it's excellent.  It's fully featured, stable and has a slick interface.  iPhone users can now finally receive AND PAY with Bitcoin using this app.  If you own an iPhone, you should really try it and give these guys some support.  I can finally do something I've never been able to do before - pay with Bitcoin at a brick and mortar store.

Good app, no internal web browser though.

Do you have the source?

Then.. How could one use this to pay for example dinner? Apple could jump in the bandwagon and allow easy payments for consumers, it would build to their reputation rather than degrade.

I don't know how is it possible! I think Apple is wrong in their politic to Bitcoin - they can't understand what profit they can get if they would support bitcoin

Imagine they will include wallet app in default app list in ios 7.2 Smiley

That would be something tremendous and they'd surprise everyone by this action

So it's a wallet app... from which you cannot spend.  How is this different from one of a plurality of other apps available for iPhones?
Last I knew, Apple were only blocking the ones from which you could spend in the first place.

Beware if Apple approved this app, its sure the bitcoin of people using this wallet will go directly to apple's wallet Smiley

Kudos to you. It's nice to see someone get through to Apple with wallet apps. I still miss having blockchain on my iPhone, so here's hoping you can get a full wallet feature set in the future!

Three weeks ?

Well nice to have more software. If it went through Apple hands for such long time it should be fine program.

Apple approved today our new Bitcoin Wallet app - bitWallet - and released it to the App Store.  bitWallet is a full bitcoin wallet, but this first version disables sending bitcoins directly from the app.  We were totally upfront with Apple about what the app can and cannot do.  The approval process took about three weeks, which is quite longer than it usually takes to approve an app.
