I wouldn't be surprised if there was a competition type of strategy that they are employing. What better way than to force market dispersion and then to introduce their new product. The funny thing is that I think they want Bitcoin around, but they don't want to be involved with it so they can push their item.

[As a note, I don't think we can call this a war of the titans per se. I think Apple is sitting on like 10x the market cap of Bitcoin in pure cash reserves. Once again, that is just reserves.]

Sure you are right. And Apple is a huge competitor.  They want their new product to be best ever like always. But they are cutting their own chair.

Like I sad before. I will never use any "i" shit again.

I already sold my iPhone 5c.

Yeah, they always want their item to be perceived as either "revolutionary" or the "best." What the BTC community needs to do is to is to challenge them on the territory that BTC had worked to hard to create. If Apple does release something akin to BTC, this community needs to react accordingly. Unfortunately, just not using their products has very little impact on their ginormous corporation.

Guess you're right.. but seems like many computer geeks are using Bitcoins - many of them are apple users.
If all of bitcoin fans will stop using apple hardware it might mean something for apple $$.

Smiley

I always though that Apple is creative and great company.
Now I will NEVER again recommend apple for ANYONE.

Fuck them.

same reason amazon does not release an android app allowing android users to use amazon prime video, but rather restrict it to their kindle fire devices only. (something that annoys me)

Because of Apple's recent actions, there's a contest on Reddit right now to remix their old "The Crazy Ones/Think Different" commercial with Bitcoin. Voting is today only. Check out my entry and, if you like it, upvote the SUBMISSION:

Cheers!

Its because bitcoin poses a threat to apple's profit margins. If you had a company that could eliminate something that could affect your bottom line, as much as it sucks, you would do the same.

They could find profits in it like rest ...

but they believe that kill an enemy is better than make a new friend . Smiley

Yeah true, they like to try and just squash everyone that is a potential competitor. Look at all those Samsung patent lawsuits from last year..

Yes youre right. I thing I dont realy understand their poloticy. But for now I am confused and I start my own war with apple.
I will never buy any "i" thing never again.

And I supose most of btc users will give a fuck to apple hardware and software.

It's a battle for huge profits.
If BTC can grow large enough, then our boycott of Apple products will really get noticed.

I don't think anyone here can answer that for certain.
Maybe they're trying to mitigate risks by having apps that could end up with users crying to them if bitcoins go missing.
It could be that they've got a lot invested in their new iWallet system and they don't want anything new that could throw a wrench in that.
I'm sure it's a matter of time before they either start letting Bitcoin wallets back through or they formally announce their big money plans.
Until then, let's make some noise.

I agree with you.

with "Maybe they're trying to mitigate risks by having apps that could end up with users crying to them if bitcoins go missing." I though same

"It could be that they've got a lot invested in their new iWallet system and they don't want anything new that could throw a wrench in that." - thats I guess most important point of that war Smiley

as you remember, Apple in history have some strange wars: Like with Flash(tm)...
Smiley Apple is great company, but company politicy is quite not clear.

From what people wrote, Apple is working on a payment system. So they need to remove the competitors first

Can I ask a question, because I do not realy understand what is all about.

Why Apple hates Bitcoin so much?

Is it because Apple's iMoney? Smiley

Maybe my question is simple, and was answered before, but I couldnt find any good answers for that.

Regards.
