Of course I will have to disagree:

I think this is what gives AppleByte longterm potential, and distinguishes us from the clone, pump & dump coins:

There are only two kinds of coins that have a potential longterm future:
The first are the coins with significant technical innovations that hope to replace Bitcoin, should it stumble. Peercoin, NXT,     Darkcoin are examples of this type.
The second are niche coins, with a focused, engaged user community. Doge is the best example in my opinion.

AppleByte is a niche coin focused specifically on supporting Artists in NYC (Musicians, actors, film makers, directors, producers, dancers, painters, sculptors, writers, photographers, designers, models, production team, etc).

In addition to having experienced technical developers, our Dev Team consists of working artists of all types in NY. Certainly the coin can be used by anyone, around the globe. But by focusing all our promotion in one geographic market, we believe we can build the critical mass of support and usage to succeed longterm.

Additionally, AppleByte is no simple clone, we have incorporated state of the art cryptocurrency development features, including DGW2 for difficulty adjustment, automatic checkpointing, DNS Seeds, and an 8 year+ mining schedule.

We also paid for development in Bitcoin, using funds from our Crowd Funding Campaign on Indiegogo, where we have raised over $5,000. You can verify that here: AppleByte Indiegogo Campaign

We started the AppleByte Foundation, which exists to fund Artists Scholarships over the next 8-10 years (No AirDrop). The foundation is funded by the premine.

We believe this combination of features and user community focus sets us apart from the flood of clone, pump & dump coins. Watch us and judge for yourself.

LOL @ this all silly purposes of releasing new coins clones. Supporting artists? Seriously?
We had coins "supporting" sciencists, taxi payments, freedom, revolutionists, ganja smokers, particular countries or even cities.

No.
It's just lack of idea or scheduled pump'n'dump.

if you had taken the time to read our ANN page, you would have seen that our Devs have been paid in Bitcoin, funded by our Crowd Funding Campaign at Indiegogo, where we raised over $5,000 to pay the Devs.

You can see it here to verify it: AppleByte Indiegogo Campaign

The new Yet another "scrypt" cloned crypto to support the arts, launches this week in New York City!! "devs" and make them a lot of spare-change once it hits an exchange at the expense of idiots by riding on the name of a famous place and hope that morons will just open their wallets and buy without thinking--at least long enough for the "devs" to dump the insta/pre/flashmine.

Follow our launch and be among the first to mine AppleBytes!! get fleeced out of some more BTC gambling on another clone-coin with a "noticeable" name.
