Remember the MacBook Pro you could upgrade? Until about 2012 you could upgrade the memory and hard drive yourself. Since then, Apple has locked down the computers. If you don't pay the premium from the start (and it is a steep premium), you're stuck with whatever comes out of the box.

That's probably fine for most consumers, as long as they're smart enough to understand their storage and RAM needs when they buy. But for professionals, it's a rude awakening to find that high quality machines with great design force buyers into an expensive straightjacket.

Apple seems to think more of itself than it thinks of its users.

apple is built for the rich whether they understand the storage and RAM needs or not, they just buy it for style. besides, we can't send files via bluetooth. it means that apple wasn't created to share since the beginning. and now, can't upgrade.

lucky me, I'm not using apple, and never.

Ive found an easy fix to overcome the problems you speak off. Dont buy an overpriced piece of shit apple. Its a fashion accessory and nothing more. You can build a desktop cheaper faster and better than any apple will offer you and laptop wise you dont get these stupid restrictions put on you and any other make is cheaper. My method also comes with the added bonus that your not bogged down by apples shitty operating system. If you need any more help feel free to ask.

Well, something we agree about!
Apple shit shouldn't be bought. Never ever. That's all.

Apple products were made to be preconfigured for the user. So don't expect to much in terms in modification when it comes to their products.
Didn't you watch the Steve jobs movie yet? He explains it quite clearly that is what Apple foundation was built on: Not to have the user tweak their own systems, we will tell them what they should have in their computers.
You want a cd rom attachment $500 extra.  Roll Eyes
Rather ivan.daineko23, this is what to say. All that is connected with Apple, everything is expensive. Users of other systems that do not require extra investments for their computers, tablets and phones. So why pay more if all the same that Apple offers, you can get much cheaper?

In addition, there are dozens of things on my Windows that I wish I had a switch to turn off or on. So it is similar with respect to pre-configuration, as well.

Is this true? You can't upgrade ram and the drives? I didn't think there was a computer alive that stopped you from doing this. I love a good fiddle but I've never liked anything Apple anyway. This just emphasises why.

Incidentally, the performance of the system Android, there is nothing worse than Apple. Maybe better. And in terms of reliability, Android surpasses Apple, in so many ways. At least, many of the errors on the android, I can fix it myself. If I create one similar to Apple's, it will take longer to recover. Or we have to pay even more.

I have the same opinion. Why pay twice? Why pay a lot? Why do we pay? Same android mobile systems when compared to much cheaper Apple. Android Updates produced soveshenno free. The software on android for free. Repair of Android, is much cheaper than Apple's repair. Android-design, better than Apple. What could be more arguments, which will force me to buy Apple ?!

Their products are too expensive for me. Technology should be affordable so that most of the people should have a access but Apple thinks differently. Thats strange!!
