miners are sometimes marked as malicious by antiviruses because malware distributors integrate miners into their software to use their victims' computer to mine for them. assuming you downloaded the miner from a trusted source, it's probably safe.

Hey guys;

My system did a full system scan with my antivirus software and it gave "Application.Bitcoinminer.DZ" as a threat. I found that Application.Bitcoinminer.AT is a trojan horse according to a website but what about this one?

According to bitdefender it coming from GUIminer/poclbm.exe.
