Hello Leo! You can still win.
The news of the approval is a big win for the bitcoin community, there will be many topics on Spot Bitcoin ETFs. As a beginner to the forum and to bitcoins who has never heard of it, do not add to the number of spammers on the forum by just jumping on a topic to speak without knowledge. The right thing to do as a newbie and even a member of the forum without knowledge of it is to first know what it is and what its approval will mean to bitcoins. You can watch videos from youtube, and read articles on it. By getting knowledge first before contributing, you are helping the forum.
The ETF bitcoin approval is not what happens everyday. I can say that we are just lucky that it happened now. So, there's nothing bad if they create topics about it. This is a contemporary news and it should be making the waves for now. Please, do not be devastated when you stumble of multiple topics about ETF approval. What you should do is to preach that there should be a single thread to collect all the related topics. And if you see an obvious spam about ETF, you kindly report to the moderators. Let the joy flow .

Well the forum can't control how many times a topic is repeatedly brought on here, and this has been an issue for a very long time and from the looks of things it's still not going away.
Although I would have to say I have seen some helpful post on the ETF approval now and even some months ago. I think you too must have seen some good post on the topic or some Spammy post. A good way to tackle this is that before any one post about it they do a little research to see if something similar exist.
No matter how repetitive the topics appear in the forum, just within few weeks it will also fade away. Maybe bull run topics will come and slso fade away, so it shouldn't bother us much.

Exactly my thoughts too, the message about getting ETF knowledge first before posting simply applies to all threads on the forum, and it is not even something to warn users about once a post you feel lacks quality you can simply report the posts and the moderators will look into it. As for threads concerning ETF we have already had numerous of them but that can’t be reported because moderators will only see it as not a spam since some have different opinions but it will be best if we all keep to a single thread to avoid spamming the board. One thing I get to notice about all this similar thread creation is the fact that we do not use the search engine to actually check if a particular topic existed before some member are just in a rush to report a trend or news. This day to day is getting hard to curtail and I don’t we can do much about that

Well, it was a trending news and many people would love to be the first to bring the news to the forum. Some might have seen the thread created before but will come with a different title approach that is different from the one they’ve seen earlier in the forum. Some does it in order to diversify the discussion about the topic in the forum. Until a post is seen as a low quality one after being reported to the moderator, I don’t think that should be a problem now since the moderators are still active and anyone can report a low quality post to them. Maybe soon in the future, the search engine can be used more efficiently and new topics that one wants to create can be easily filtered out and known by OP if it has been posted before in the forum before publishing theirs.

Aside from discussions, it is also best not to get hyped with those launched shit coins about naming them with "ETF" at the end.

There have been bunch of them in decentralized exchanges and that's why one has to be careful on it whether you're newbie or not. But if you're someone who's aware of it and you think that you need guidance, you still be careful and everyone is on their own.

I thought you will say don't create a new thread about Bitcoin ETFs, but you're actually say don't post without any knowledge. Well that's applicable to every threads! not only Bitcoin ETFs, there's no difference whether you discuss about Bitcoin ETFs, mempool, etc, you should post when you have something to add.

However, assuming the newbie really don't understand about ETFs, you can report their posts to moderators.

I think that the best ways for newbies to grow in their knowledge about any crypto related matters in the forum is to join in the conversations where they want to learn, they can post according to their understanding, if they're not on track with the topic being discussed, then more experienced members can put them through. But when it comes to starting a thread, a newbie needs to research the topic before starting it, or if the topic is a question, then they need to focus on clarity. Although it is good for newbies and experienced members to research on topics that they don't understand, so that they can make meaningful contributions in the thread.

You're right on that. However, you also need to factor in the happenstance that there's News and there's News Analysis. This is why an issue lingers on after it has broken as news. Analyses of a broken news stay longer and in most cases get more people into the news. Yes, getting the right knowledge on an issue is the best way to further develop the story but then we also need to acknowledge the place of "asking questions" in all that. Those who don't know anything about the issue still can contribute by interrogating the issue, instead of being mute. It helps a lot.

But I believe the news will creat more attractions and more investors to come and invest in bitcoin apart from that i see nothing again in this bitcoin ETF. But if anyone can explain more to me about it in full detail I will also be glad.

it's useless to advise them, they will keep discussing things related to etfs even to the point of relating things that actually have nothing to do with etfs. this is a forum i think, where we will definitely find spam things like that, if you are bothered by these spammers' posts you can report the posts to the moderator for review. but i think other spam posts will appear again, so what you do is actually not that significant in reducing the number of spam posts.

Finally we are all at a bright spot after going round in circles on unclear decisions.
The approval of a Bitcoin spot ETF is good news for the Bitcoin community.
Beginners who have just joined who want to know more about Bitcoin spot ETFs do not need to create the same topic because they can follow the discussion in the topics that are already available.

I think, not just for discussing Bitcoin spot ETFs, beginners don't need to open a new topic to join the discussion and look for information about the desired search, but for other topics it's the same. Utilizing the search button is very useful.

This forum is different from news platforms outside the forum. We are unique here. We also have a role in protecting the forum from spammers.

I've also seen one or two threads already that talks about bitcoin spot ETF approval and that is incredibly fake news, I don't know whatever their intentions may be for making up such need or receiving feeds from the social media without making verification on the authenticity for the news, we all just have to be very careful of scammers and this time, not only them but together with the spammers as well, everyone of them is trying to make what isn't it appear it was, we must not be tricked and any informations received must be verified before taking action upon.

Just don't get disturb or feel stress about this since that's normally happening here since some may get excited for the news they heard since its really a good development to announce and some just do that its because they think they can earn merit by posting those information.

If newbies searching for information regarding on this news and they go here much better if they look for those threads which have complete information about ETF approval topics and there are reputable members sharing their thoughts since its more worthy to read also your suggestion by watching those videos on site you have mentioned is also helpful for them to get a knowledge about this topic.

Yes but forum is indeed a safer way to catalyst information cause sometimes media post are totally bias or just rumors. Like the announcement of Gary yesterday that etf was approved then suddenly got hacked and revert the call. Pretty bad publicity especially when big whales are depending on it on market evaluations. Many have liquidated fue to this and of course got hyped.

Well I guess that's why we've got mods to ensure such is curbed as best as possible. I feel your pain, op but know that some of these spammers find it difficult or should I say, are lazy to use the search button to check if a topic has been created before and just go ahead to make theirs. Most times, it's the newbies that fall victims to this but also, other ranks as well, and if I'm not mistaken, I think a topic talking about Bitcoin ETFs approval and something related has been created and you should have gone there to talk about this because I don't really see you indicating anything new.
