Chrome knows chinese (kinda) and can translate for you.  Not a perfect translation but a lot of the points come across.

My attitude now is: if it's an announcement made in Chinese, announced by Chinese on this forum, I'm just ignoring it until anything that might be important filters out because its given adequate repeated attention by different people.

If it's genuinely commercially valuable, the offerers will have hired the talent to translate their offering to their target markets' language and base of understanding.  Otherwise, fuck it, for now.

Just have one of the Asian kids hashing in your basement translate it for you!  Grin

Good luck with Chrome; google translate itself is not all that great.

In fairness to the machines, translating the full semiotic intent of written Chinese to western language is among the most difficult human - let alone machine - tasks in the world.

Overlay that with the cultural differences between the original writer and the perceptions of the reader - well, we get this kind of shit, where no body can understand what going on, or even understand why people get confused.

My attitude now is: if it's an announcement made in Chinese, announced by Chinese on this forum, I'm just ignoring it until anything that might be important filters out because its given adequate repeated attention by different people.

Avalon delivers chips to anyone who orders the 10,000 chips.. I understand frustration who from people who are in avalons mining rig batch 3 and still not received orders. I think rigs take longer to make than chips though. That being said, batch 3 orders from avalon should be starting to be delivered any time.
The batch 3 from avalon is not anyway connected to any groupbuys by people on forums. They made 3 batches of full mining rigs, which they have said they will never do again but focus on making chips instead.

This must be for batch#3 right, not bulk chip orders.  Especially if April 15th is correct.

Those are chip orders. Unfortunately chips will be first than batch#3.

It takes more than just chips to build a miner. The chips have to arrive before you can build a miner, though some people in this thread seem to think it should be the other way around.

I give up.  I just looked at fidelhl's website, and there he is on the cover of Forestry magazine, and there they are selling 66 GH and up mining equipment while raising bananas.

I'm sorry, but I can't stop laughing.  I'll just wait this one out, because, unless I'm also in the market for some fruit or trees, this is all a little too wierd for me.

The chips are from Avalon not to Avalon think man!
This is my point exactly.  Last week, some of the translations indicated someone who had split with Avalon posted the photos; obviously if that were true, those chips wouldn't be from Avalon.

Now you indicate you believe that it's a big order of Avalon chips, shipped via HKG to Shenzen, where presumably someone is going to build a zillion new mining boards with them?

And who is fidelhl?  That's a different name that before.

I'll say this much.  In many places in the real world, if information were this poorly organized and reported, the reporters would be fired on the spot.

Its been confirmed July 10, 2013 that someone in China received tens of thousands of Avalon chips.

Please show source for you statement. Just because you say so doesnt make it true. afaik btcman posted these, because he works somehow as CEO or whatev in that facility that built the chips for team avalon (yifu and co). Nobody received tens of thousands of avalon chips. Nope.
Man you are one of them stupid trolls aren't you?  Always questioning me.
Ok one second getting sources.   There is more to it as well, but I will not elaborate at this time.

I didn't see these posts, thanks for the info. I didnt get this: where did this fidelhl sell his "clones" (i suppose?)? Or did he provide chips for avalons batch 1 and 2?

Anyone know how many of them were supposed for avalon? This is freaking me out Cheesy

There are ~2 million chips in these pictures, as explained in: http://thegenesisblock.com/latest-shipment-of-avalon-asics-could-increase-network-hashrate-by-500

Obviously this is Avalon's own stock, and not some customer who bought that much. (Sales were limited to 200,000 chips per customer.)

Not just Avalon's stock.

fidelhl has told me they are selling and making their very own batches of units.

they sold batch #1 already.

batch#2 = 2nd gen Avalon chips.

Lets assume 24 boxes of 6 mini boxes and 10 trays in each mini box with 260 chips each (fact).
Then that's 374,400 chips.

http://fidelhl.cn.1688.com/
Is it too much to ask to get some unambiguous information?  Not only does most of this seem like contradictory hearsay, but it's hearsay poorly translated from a language about as different from English as any on earth.

We all saw the pictures of a buttload of chips last week.  Now - someone who KNOWS, or at least is certain of their translation and of the sources (for example, who the hell is fidelhl):

WERE THOSE AVALON'S CHIPS?

WERE THOSE CHIPS BOUND FOR ASSEMBLY IN AVALON BATCH 3 MACHINES?

WERE THOSE CHIPS BOUND FOR CHIP ORDER FULFILLMENT?

DO THOSE CHIPS BELONG TO SOME OTHER PARTY, BOOTLEGGING THEM, OR ALLEGING TO BE ANOTHER ENTRY INTO THE MARKET?

So are these chips delivered from avalon to him or did he order these chips from tmsc himself because he developed them?
If the first, why arent there more chips sent out? With the samples there were a note in the batch order when it was sent. I didnt hear about such now. So is this a special treatment?

I am cheering on all those vested in DIY projects that your chips arrive soon and are quickly married to boards. The game is on.

I can almost taste my K16's...

It's been absolutely incredible and inspiring watching community projects develop around the Avalon chips so far.

I thought this order was for Avalon miner (batch #3?) production. But original poster was a bit unclear. Also, Google Translation from chinese - always leaves room for interpretation  Wink

I sure understand your frustration, but when those photos appeared two weeks ago of hundreds of thousands of chips in a warehouse, did you really think any other outcome was likely?

That said, if this really is the chip fulfillment, I'm guessing (hoping, really) that the b-3's are also going to ship imminently.

If so, it's going to be one hell of an August.
