Thanks again for updating the stats about our local board with the local board. The problem is with merit and I know we need a merit source for our local board. The problem is that the admin is not interested in awarding merit source currently. I heard it from a credible and reputed member of our forum.

That being said I would like to see members active in the forum to use threads of global merit sources to get sMerits. I know we Indians have an ego of not begging whereas some of our neighbours are always interested or indulge in that kind of habit Grin

Unless thing change we have to be active and find sMerits which can help our board to strive up against all odds. If we can do that then I will personally take the responsibility to connect with the admin and demand a local merit source.

Yes, there are only a handful of few who are active on the local board. It doesn't mean the forum doesn't have Indians posting on other boards. They are active within the forum but are not active here. If you have any ideas the do share them so we can have a discussion around those ideas.

The September activity report looks the same to me with a minor change on the merit increase. The local board is struggling to stay afloat and I won't be surprised if the activity goes down more in the coming months. I have learned from a credible forum member that the admin is no longer interested in accepting new applications for merit sources. This means that those active members on the local board please use those threads of other merit sources where they give merits to good posts.

Agreed with the number of pending applications I do not think he is interested in approving any more merit sources. The situation of our local board has gone from bad to worse and I doubt it will improve in the future.

Please dont get disheartened by the lack of merits, we as a community have been fighting this fight on our own with little support and are still keeping up and with limited resources consistency is important and we are doing that.

As long as we keep up the fight, we will overcome. In the meantime be active in global sections as well as the Indian local with new topics, I am trying to chime in every few days.

Yes, we have been fighting for a few years now and I hope by the end of this year I feel that you will get your application approved. The only factor that makes me disheartened in by looking at the monthly report other than that everything is going well.

Not everyone is smart as you are frankly speaking. You have a tendency to come up when you are at your low. I have seen you coming up and engaged when the situation of the local board was pathetic. I still remember you pointing out Rifaklip data and asking what can be done to improve it.
