This is truly backwards concept from the start. You are against a pre-mine, but also against PoS/MN. It is very expensive to bring forth a coin successfully, how do you intend to pay? Also how would making it PoW be "green".

They are different, totally different.
Therefore, what did you imply?

instead of dash green  call it green dash or dash pure
if the other dash green gets listed on CMC then no chance of going with that name

dunno why people saying pos only 5-10% the idea is green isn't it?

Sorry, I had no time recently to look at this thread (been busy with 9 to 5 work, that's why I was planning to launch in early 2019).

I just recently heard about DASHGREEN: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-dash-green-pos-masternode-ecofriendly-digital-cash-dex-5068282
It was launched in about 1 week after this PRE-ANN.

I have nothing to do with that coin.
And I am still planning to launch DASH Green (one way or another)
Perhaps it will require renaming or perhaps the other coin will die by the time we launch.

Let's see how this will play out.

I can say that this coin is very much like the Scam premine 400,000 coins, want to raise money on a well-known project.

So I guess its safe to say the plans in this ANN thread have been abandoned? Too bad, the initial plan seemed promising. Dashminer should come out and post any updates else we assume this is dead.

LOL, today, I saw another topic on Dash Green, which shown that the main net has been launched and stood at around 4.5k block.

Seems that we have two coins with the same name/project. The dev of the existing coin on graviex (with the .net) told it was a premine and told it's 2 different coins.

In that case there is a problem.
DASHGREEN already exists a few days.
So this explains why he is not replying on the many posts.

Played around with the wallet. Works fine. Wallet is looking nice. Transaction is very fast. From a technical perspective not a bad start ;-)

I find it very strange that you do not reply very often.
People are reacting on your first post (10 days ago) and you only replied  twice. Not even 2, because your first reply was nonsense.
Maybe you should let them know you already launched the project, that there is a website, that the coin is listed on a few exchanges, ...
There are even some people waiting for a wallet release. If you follow up peoples reactions you could have replied by saying there is a wallet released already.

Launching a new coin could have many consequences; good or bad But there are some responsabilities to take in consideration.
Believe it or not; if it happens your coin could be succesful (I realy hope so), than you will not be able to handle it on your own. You will need a crew (team) to assist you.

At this moment only few people are involved and interested. What will you do if many thousands have reactions and questions.

If you need help, don't be affraid to ask here in this forum. I am sure some interested people in here are willing to help.

cpu mining is great and i like cpu mining, many people are mine with cpu coins.
for the total supply is 21M
for the block reward of POS, 20% POS yearly interest rate.

A low stake rate, possibly variable maybe based on current economic conditions, i.e. pegged to a multiple of TBonds
A decent total supply, depending on rewards/block time, maybe target to have the total supply reach in a few years only, coins like these have gained a following recently (i.e. XNV)
Definitely change the name to something not referring Dash, you could just mention that its a code fork of Dash in the description, but "Dash Green" is neither catchy nor sounds like a promising coin

At least the project looks interesting.
CPU only at the beginning is good idea. And of course POS-system I think is the best. It's not needed a lot of mining harwdare like in PoW or a huge amount of coins like in Masternodes. Anybody can participate with the self proportion.
But for further success it's not enough. It should be unique and that is most important useful feature of new created coin.

I think it should be CPU mining only at first, because if it is GPU-mineable, a lot of gpu miners will jump on it and those cpu miners will not get anything anymore. GPU will increase fast the difficulty and hash rate making those cpu miners behind.

Regarding the POW algo… Yes, I also think it needs to be GPU-mineable. But having a small difference between CPU and GPU speeds is a big bonus, I believe. This way we can get both CPU and GPU miners on board.

There were a few people asking for discord. I think it is a nice idea, but for later. I’d prefer to have the communication here at the early stage.

i like the idea of no premine, but some coins would need to be generated for the team and bounties/promotion. A small percentage of POW blocks could go to the team as a form of founder's fee from each POW block.

Count me in I'll be there to build & test your node, and sustain the network, if only I could be aware of the launch date.
I also can translate any paper you want in French and make some social noise.

Interesting concept. Will it be pure PoS or PoS/MN coin? Agree with wallet/proc mining, but think that at least translation and signature bounty should be run. Anyhow, good luck!

  POS, Premin should be done, be sure to open the distribution of the bounty, that gather a larger community. It is desirable to distribute the landing (I think that when weak hands are sold, then you have the opportunity to buy)

DASH Green project started by @dashminer. Looks a good start.
My ideas to contribute:
- Total supply should be 21 mil. as traditionally. Higher total supply will lead to unexpected high inflation, contrasting to lower total supply might lead to sort of difficulty to bring Dash Green into real-life daily expenses.
- PoS should be allocated at 10% of total block rewards.
- Algorithm: I think that Dash Green should be GPU-mineable, not only for CPUs.

Somebody launched this coin in a week after this pre-announcement. So I'm not sure what to do, to be honest. Let's see how 'that' dashgreen works out.

I would like to create a new cryptocurrency "DASH Green", a fork of well-known DASH cryptocurrency.
DASH Green will be strongly focusing on Green enviroment-friendly network and secure private transactions.
With POS minting and masternodes supporting the network.

I'm looking for more team members and people interested in being a part of this project for a long time.
Developers, coders, project managers, graphic designers, promoters, geneartors of ideas, investors, etc.
I believe this can be fun and interesting. And also I'm sure, that I cannot just do all this alone, at least not to the level of perfection that I want.

Some details on initial coin distribution (POW phase):
No premine! I strongly don’t believe in pre-mines. No matter how big or small.
POW phase of 1-3 months with a brand-new CPU-friendly algorithm, in order to get more exposure and more people interested in this project.
Don't allow ASICs/GPUs/multipools, just pure mining from wallet or cpu optimized miner.
Multipool miners, GPU/ASIC farm operators are usually just interested in BTC income, they don't care the slightest deal about the coins they are mining.

Planned launch date: around Early 2019.

A few words about myself:
I have a background in C/C++, pool operating and mining.
I also was a part of coin dev team before.
Last few years I was running a DASH GPU multipool and closed it recently (GPU mining became pretty much unprofitable).
I recently got interested in green initiatives and have some spare time to devote to this project.

I am looking for long term supporters of “DASH Green” project. People interested in fast buy/sell, pump and dump, daily feature demands or fud, please find some other projects.
No premine here either, so do not expect multiple bounties for translation to other languages or coin listing bribes.

Also, I'll happily read about your ideas. Like how many total coins is good (classic 21M?), stake rates for POS (5% ?), etc.
