As I recall, the SP20E has slightly better chips, in the sense that the ASIC manufacturing process was yielding more chips that are in the highest range of "good". I think that the net effect is that an SP20E has a better chance of hitting the described 1.7TH hashing rate, compared to a November SP20 (no E). I can't speak to the other improvements as other folks have.

I dont have an SP20 to verify this but have read some older firmware updates were showing the the SP20 as an SP10 but this was fixed I think. So there is no Sp20 Dawson .

Dawson would be an SP10, so probably a typo.

I think the E signifies that the mounting of the hash boards was improved for better durability during shipping.

That's correct, "SP20 Dawson" is not a thing and is an error. And the "e" is to signify they fixed the hashboard mounting but very few people use that moniker.

Is there just one kind of Spondoolies SP20?

I was offered an SP20 Jackson and an SP20 Dawson.  I am guessing that this is a simple mistake and that Dawson is actually an SP10.

And what's the difference between SP20 and SP20e?
