Most altcoins are instruments for trading and not to hold for a long term. We should think of altcoins as an speculative penny stock rather than a buy and hold stable stock.

NEM's price chart was remarkably stable until just recently a new update came out and a lot of announcements with really big industry partners. Now it is slowly climbing up CMC.

I think altcoins like papers on the stockmarket. They are just for trading. The real one is of course bitcoin for spending.
Yeah I agree they're primarily speculation vehicles.  Absolutely.  But stocks represent earnings of real businesses whereas altcoins don't represent anything and aren't used for anything.  Their value mystifies me, actually, with the exception of a tiny handful (LTC, DOGE) that can actually be used to buy things.

See title.

Many top 20 coins and their indicators look the same on 3d and 1w charts. they have been beaten down so hard, have we seen the general market bottom after the 500 usd bitcoin shock?
some are already moving due to ridiculous low liquidity. others have already massive volume.

just a counter move because bitcoin takes a rest - or an overall trend change for altcoins?
