The fact that one can observe the increasingly long list of the number of bitcoin casinos speaks for theit popularity and profit making potential. But also it is due to this ubiquitous scenario one needs to think out of the box and plan and design something unique because of the far fetching competition here. Could take a look at the most famous casinos operating and  analyze what makes them stand apart and inculcate it into your project.

If they aren't popular then you cant see large numbers of bitcoin casinos online. Seeing as of todays numbers you can able to say that they are really famous and profitable. If you do plan to make one then better to think off on the uniqueness onto your site which would able to caught up the attention of potential gamblers in the site. Just remember that it wont really be an easy stuff since considering the competition on this field is very high.

In my opinion bitcoin games will be always popular depends on how uniquely different to other games. I think this is an old idea, Dota 2 betting site using bitcoins, If you can create a system where users can bet bitcoins on their team. Same in football or basketball. I think this will be really a good betting site if you have different variations.

If they are not popular then why their are people who makes a new casino site here? And if you have a doubts about this one you can actually look on the casino sites who's running for now so that you can figure out the things you want to ask their. And you should remember that gambling industry will never be faded since It is one of the placed where people go just to get some fun.

There are a lot of contesting in this subject field. Also you can have problems with the law, potentially. And from moral point of view it's not the best step to take if you want to progress in blockchain field and up-to-date technologies. If you have good knowledge and are able to program more or less complex things you can easily do something more promising or join another team that are looking for a programmer. I wish you best luck.

I think someone should create a Bitcoin casino for "poor" people. The current casinos are way too expensive to play for people from third world countries. Their currency is too weak to afford these high bets. All Brick'nMortar casinos have their cheap games and they are usually the most popular.

You should consider the numbers, when you make these decisions. Why not concentrate on the bigger percentage of people, when you target a market. Yes, the rich people might have more money, but there are more poor or middle class people that also wants to gamble and have some fun.

This is why sites like https://www.bustabit.com/ is so popular, because you can make very small bets. ^smile^

Casinos are still popular in the virtual currency market. This is a very popular form of business, however, at present, there are too many casinos to exist, so you need to compete a lot.

Casino will always be popular, no matter what currency they play. As practice shows, even the withdrawal from the legislative sphere does not close them. In your case, advertising and prestige are important. Prestige is added by international tournaments and big prizes.

Because the bitcoin value is high in the market. So the popularity of the casino becomes diminished. And some of his players limit themselves in numbers.

I think it will be hard to get the initial momentum required to get your game site going.
But once it starts getting more popular, there might be a lot of interested people who cling to your site and will return on a regular basis.

Nevada now allows companies using blockchain technology in their business to avoid paying taxes...can you imagine what this will do to blockchain/cryptocurrency and Las Vegas casinos??

Nothing, actually. Most taxes will still apply. The place where blockchain saves the casino money is in moving funds around. They still have to charge tax on anything in the purview of the state, such as sales tax. This is an interesting idea though, because for a casino there might be some middle men that wouldn't be necessary.

Your views and assumptions are very true which we can able to see on the market on how big it is when it comes to gambling sites that do accept bitcoins but its never been too late to make a site that would able to compete with those sites who are already operating in how many months or years already as long you do make a project or game which is unique and cant really be find on gambling world which would able to caught the attention of potential gamblers in the market and might be interested on your site and will possibly give you wealth later on when its already gaining popularity gradually.Want to ask, what kind of game would you made?

Of course it is still popular. I remember when I just joined to bitcoin two years ago it was like 80 people on poker tournament, now it is thousands! You just need something that will make you attractive from other gambling sites which already exist and have tons of users.
It was two years ago men, I think bitcoin casinos now were decrease the numbers of player. You know why? Due to high amount of bitcoin exchange some players were limit their joining into gambling sites. Like me I was bet almost everyday in casinos but now I limit the amount I gambled because I can't afford the value of tokens and chips.

The number of people participating in casinos has not diminished, it has continued to increase over time, however, the number of casinos is increasing rapidly, they compete with each other, and so the proportion of people Playing at casinos is low.

There are so many casinos at present, you should not continue such a site. A new idea will help your project get more attention. If you want to build a casino, you will have to compete a lot, it will be harder for you.

Your right bro, I think bitcoin casinos was not popular now, because most of the gambler was not play now due to high value of bitcoin. Some of my friends now we're stop to gambled due to high amount lost to them last month because of greediness.

I couldn't find a decent poker project.
I know there was Seal with clubs, however they had to close. Than they opened again, but had fewer online, cause of loss of android client. A lot of people liked it. Its simplicity, rather fast withdraws, phone client made them decent income. Think over it. You may search their topic here on 'talk'

.You think a website launched today will be as popular as crypto-games without even spending half as much as they did for promotion ? Wrong.Money is the key.
It's mixed.  Bitcoin sites require less initial capital than fiat-based gambling sites because crowdfunded bankrolls are common and your share of the original profits can help contribute to later promotion.

Satoshi Dice was an absolutely huge gambling site back in the day, but it relied on low transaction fees.  Now, Bitcoin gambling is not necessarily so much better than traditional gambling - you can still place small bets, but you have to accept that you lose a large amount of it as soon as you deposit.

If you want something unique, wait for SegWit to activate and LN to become used.  You can be the first gambling site to accept microtransactions through LN.

The market is indeed definitely saturated, but even without a very big budget for marketing, you could still succeed.
It just takes time to get your name and brand out there.

I think it would be very difficult not only gambling site but other sites are well without promotion. And we all know that promotion or marketing involves a lot of money it in. Of course there are Internet Marketing companies that will charge you cheap and promise to promote your site but you are definitely get what you are paying for. Cheap promotions. That's why there are still signature campaigns even for established casino in the forum. Take a look at Admiral casino, initially it was a promising casino and they put up a signature here. Unfortunately, they decided to stop it (I think they ran it for about a month only). So now, no one is talking about them. Not even in the gambling section. So we don't know if they captured at least a portion of our gamblers here.

That said, just to be able to run a gambling site, you need a huge budget for the bankroll alone, unless you crowdfund part of your bankroll.

Of course any casino that are already established began with a huge capital to really put there name on top. But I'm not really sure if investor's money is involved in bankroll. I guess its just the case of most of them though.

How ? Without a big budget of marketing there is chance a gambling project can be as popular in the market.Look at the existing famous websites, from crypto-games to Rollin.io,they have their signature campaigns/blog campaigns running even though they are established, they have to keep competing with the growing market. You think a website launched today will be as popular as crypto-games without even spending half as much as they did for promotion ? Yeah but without marketing, the brand ain't gonna establish itself.

-> The market is saturated, your idea wouldn't stand a chance even if you somehow manage to launch it.Especially when,
           - Market isn't quite ready to accept drastic changes over the traditional gambling games.
           - If you have huge investment backup, you can still drag the traffic somehow to try out the games which they will, but only future knows if they'll come back.
           - Overall,it's a waste of time, efforts and money if it doesn't work out.
-> With the advent of new casinos in the market everyday, you will need to spend double on the marketing over the actual  casino development/management.

It's been a while since the last time I got into gambling section, but lately it seems rare to find gambling signature and there are some left such as bitdice and bitsler which always show up everywhere and the rest maybe keep playing on gambling threads.
But, I'm sure there are some people who enjoys gambling and do it regularly, especially for sports betting and poker game.
So, you have to offers something unique and fresh for your gambling project in order to attract more people.

Now also people like bitcoin casinos. Because  every day new people are entering into this cryptoworld and they find it easy use bitcoin casinos . Even people from restricted countries can play casinos games  using bitcoins. But to gain visitors , I think you need to start a signature campaign like what other successful bitcoin casinos do. Then only people will consider it has a geniune and paying site. Even sometimes I also use casino sites. But I only pick up casino sites whose campaign is still running. Because I have a feeling that there won't be any problem during withdrawal.

Curious on how/why other successful bitcoin casinos cultivate a signature campaign? If they're successful; is the campaign really necessary (or am i misinterpreting)

My thoughts exactly. Casinos are a volatile, overpopulated and yet, versatile market.

I have written my own code for a dice game, roulette etc; but suck at the cards.

On a side tangent; I've thought of going more arcade style gaming (with bitcoin features) but not sure how to expand on that idea. thoughts are on pacman style eating coins, mario style with coins (have a game written that could easily use this) or even diving into a rpg style game with cryptocoin features.

My career counselor wants me to focus on sticking with proven careers, (keep my day job - he says); but my hours keep getting cut  Angry

A bitcoin online casino is still a great idea I think but there is as you say lots of competition going on.

Honestly though I think it will gain marketshare from other fiat based casinos in the near future, take a look at some of the projects aimed at this like funfair, edgeless, dao.casino.

I've purchased some casino related ethereum domains and am going to build out casino projects there. Bitcoin doesn't seem as conducive to coming together as groups and creating these products/services. Ethereum ENS domains (.eth) are robust and have a lot of projects underway.

Feel free to follow on Medium  --  I am actually going to write a casino post pretty soon here too! Usually write daily updates on the crypto market and entrepreneurial ideas:

Something unique has its pros and cons. There will always be some people who will want to play the game they have seen before and understand, at the same time there will be people who will be interested in trying out new things. So my suggestion is, keep both the tradational ones and add some unique ones, so that you can catch both types of fishes Grin

We have different people here in the community that varies in likes and interest. Some of them surely wants "new" and "unique" idea about casinos. But to match with the competition today, it will required hardwork, effort and deep brainstorming because it's quite difficult to gained popularity now because as you mentined, there are lot of them already.

If you think you know already some of the rish and how it will handled then continue. If that is your goal after all and you really like to build a site like that for long time now then I don't see any problem pursuing the goal.
