I think ICOs are like substance of all cryptocurrencies since their beginning. They are double-edged weapons. You can get big money or lose them all... Similar thing when cryptocurrencies showed up for the first time. People don't believed on crypto, but who did, they could get s...load of profit.

I invested onto some ICOs and time will show. But if you want to invest onto ICOs. DO RESEARCH and the second thing DO RESEARCH and again and again... there are a lot of promising projects with good developers, but so so many scams. Unfortunately, scams are more common.

There are a lot of informations about ICOs and how to try find the right one/ones, for what you should looking for (real person developed team, use of coin, etc...)

I wish you luck with finding the choosen one!

The problem with ICO is that there are really amazing projects mixed with trash and useless initiatives, which have nothing to do with blockchain.
There is nothing that we can do when both: the good one and scammy one both will decide to take advantage of ICO and use this method as a mainstay for their project.

In short, good ICO backed by reputable team of developers with clear vision, creating project with unique features can be a moneymaking machine.

or

You can find bad ICO with idiots or pure scamers behind it. The line between these two is blurry and scammers are more and more cocky and sophisticated.

there are projects with 4 year old development list under 60 million. some icos are goin in at 100 million of the bat, look at gno, that is massive, i know the dev is a demi god but come on 225 million for undeveloped idea is ust bubble.

i know i am moving away from some tokens as i think they are driving eth price, and starting to see btc as the best strong bet now longer term. as any big token scam will surely effect eth, and it is bound to happen.

they don't even have to sell off the coins to make money, it is a bit giving someone a majic bean for gold.

Yes, ICOs are the current crazes for instant rich. All the techs which these ICOs promising is questionable, probably 90% will not see it fruit.

ICOs are golden geese..- for their admins..
until the project people drown money into starts bringing some revenues (and I have serious doubts about 95% of them), it can make you profit only from other peoples' buying those tokens for even more inflated price.

I think ICOs are in a bubble right now. It's a gamble to invest in them. You may make a lot of returns or lose all your money.
Most of these ICOs raise millions of dollars without even having any kind of working product and plans for revenue generation. Some are legit though

i have invested in a few icos , one has been released but i just looked at the figures and basically if i had kept the eth i would have been better off, over 3 months. it does seem icos are being hyped up but with with rises are they always a good idea to invest or just wait until after release.
