your Hash board on chain 2 after get warm, only detect 58 asic and you need to reball chip 59, better reball 58 and 59. just be careful your heat didn't harm around asics and hit sinks.

Reflowing means blowing hot air from a BGA hot air tool directly to those bad chips with temp around 300c to 350c.

What he talking about is that those chips have a cold solder joint or bad connection. That is why he wants you to try reflowing those bad chips.

Reflowing means blowing hot air from a BGA hot air tool directly to those bad chips with temp around 300c to 350c.

Did you buy this unit as a used miner?

There might be a loose heatsink that causes overheating you will need to disassemble the unit and check physically.
Sometimes it's due to the broken or shorted capacitors that is why the temp increase so fast and automatically drops for overtemp protection.

No overheating.... i see temp on board 3 = 73 / 73 / 73 / 73 ...

Is not normal ... likely bas sensor... so bad connection on one chip ... probably just need reflow Smiley

If you past full kernel here (after 3rd board is down) , i'm sure, see the temp error sensor (or bad count asic)

However guys now a new problem, originally, 3 board work with all 65 chips showing ooooo ooooo with hashboard dropping off.

Now, 3 boards wrok but one shows 7 xxxxx xx, and this drops off after 1 minute or so.

3) Isit possible all 7 asic chips broke? or just 1-2 broke causing the rest to signal errors? strange that the other day was fine, now 7 broke all the same time

No overheating.... i see temp on board 3 = 73 / 73 / 73 / 73 ...

Is not normal ... likely bas sensor... so bad connection on one chip ... probably just need reflow Smiley

If you past full kernel here (after 3rd board is down) , i'm sure, see the temp error sensor (or bad count asic)

Did you buy this unit as a used miner?

There might be a loose heatsink that causes overheating you will need to disassemble the unit and check physically.
Sometimes it's due to the broken or shorted capacitors that is why the temp increase so fast and automatically drops for overtemp protection.

When I power on my S17+. I have 3 full boards working. However after 5 minutes one of the boards drops off, as indicated in my picture below by Before and After

Most likely your third board is overheating. It is recommended that you clean up the dust, especially the dust of the fan and try again.
