The market always has sellers and buyers, winners and losers. The early investors are the ones that are on the winning side right now and they'll win more with the upcoming trend of the market until we see $100k soon. This is how the market works and that's why if someone has told us to invest long time ago, years ago and buy Bitcoin and we never listened. It's our fault, the lesson is there that whoever is willing to take the risk, gets the reward and whoever is conservative, stays to where they are. But not all risk are worth it to take, it just so happens that Bitcoin was like a rising star and asset several years ago and whoever believed on its journey before the top was able to benefit from it.

You complain about it because of your own personal benefit.
If it would help think Long term
There would come a time where another newbie would say the same of this cycle of investors.
It's normal
Understand your goal and make plans before jumping into the train.

You feel like this because you blurred and focus on the short term.

Picking personal benefits over others, really are you just being sarcastic right now because the aim for every investment both new and old is to make profits as much as they can, and no one give a dem about new investors a d if the value of the asset have increased and d investor and holder want to sell off their bitcoin holding, those newbie investors are the potential buyers and for that, you already know that the price is already high and wiling to buy at that high price, this is what makes the difference in most cases.

And also don't forget that old investors have spent they time waiting for long for the price to increase to the present level and you can also equal that waiting time to money since the newer investors spent that time in accumulating cash flow to buy from the older investors.

Let's start with you. Don't you want personal benefits?
Of course i do, just not yet time to make plans on getting some.

Can those who just learned about Bitcoin today ask you to sell some Bitcoin at a pretty low price?
No, even if they did ask i dare not to sell this soon, my investment is just as new as tomorrow, i am not ready to let it go this early.

~
...That's just hypocrisy? What you want to for them to do is to basically adapt and adjust themselves to YOU instead of to their own. If that isn't your own "personal benefit" then idk what is lol. Trading is a zero-sum game, not everyone can be happy or successful, all you can do is deal with it. If you can't, then you can leave. You'd probably have more success counting the ants in your room than telling other investors to let you profit lol.
You preferably would want to read across other replies, the topic wasn't created out of selfishness or for other investors picking new investors interest over theirs  but just with some humor attached that can generate responses regarding the market settlement, whole phases and how to possibly go through it, on different stages and accumulation process.

What is this lol, did anyone tell you that bitcoin investment is all about family reunion, that everyone has to look out for each other? Guy in this industry you are on your own. If you were in the shoes of those you are referring to as old investors, will you wait for anybody? Let's not expect others to do what we can't do for them. Where were you when they were investing years ago? Everybody have their programming in this life and nobody gives a fuck about if you are a new investor.

People are mostly trying to do what is best for their situation. Some people had the opportunity to invest when Bitcoin was dirt cheap and they have every right to sell it for a massive profit. There is no reason to be offended by people’s personal choices. If profit is your primary motivation for being involved in Bitcoin, then you should aspire to be like those older generations and have enough patience to hold until you have achieved generational wealth.

Not sure why you get that vibe. Each of us was a new investor at some point. I found this forum helpful. Hopefully it still is. I do get that some older ones appear slightly disdainful. And the maxis sometimes especially seem standoffish but you get the help you deserve, I find.

Tip: just go DCA. How I started, how I am going, how I will continue. That removes the worry about price altogether.

Let them sell and buy their bags. One day you will be the old investor dumping on the newcomers. This is called the cycle of life  Grin

It's how the market works.. While you are selling, someone else has to buy or else if we all decided to hold, then the market would have no liquidity at all. The only way new investors can adapt is to avoid FOMO and maybe buy the dips.
Buying at the top exposes you to away bigger risk.

As someone smart once said on this forum: "Market is a pussy". All it takes is for all holders to agree that we don't sell below $100k and bam! we have BTC at $100k in an instance. It's that easy.

everyone has their own plan, the buyer of apple stock buy at higher price than anyone who buys it a decade before, that's just how things works. doesn't mean the apple stock will never grow, same with bitcoin, the older investor can sell at whatever price target they set but we can always set an even higher milestone if we think bitcoin can pull it off.

no need to be holed up into the thoughts of the early bird get all the benefit, because that's always been the case, I mean being early bird also requires right opportunity and right mentality.

in a nutshell, just because older investor are selling doesn't mean we should sell too, and moreover, it's not really a concern to begin with.

Just a quick thinking and i see that many older investors who already has gone through different stages of Bitcoin has been able to accumulate an absolute amount of Bitcoin in their portfolio and are ready to begin selling parts of their investment which ties their hope to see the price of Bitcoin increase.

As we know unlike the older investors in the market, new investors like me and many others have not gotten enough portion filled in our portfolio and are not ready to sell yet, this puts us in the condition of purchasing higher when the price of Bitcoin increases according to what older investors might have hoped on the market.

Very disappointed how they pick personal benefits over the others  Angry

Well, it's what everyone is hoping for to see higher prices just after they've invested in Bitcoin. For the older investors, it's a way to reward ourselves for selling at the top but it doesn't mean that we're going to leave bitcoin forever. Just like the other rich people, they're able to sell at good prices for the products that they've worked on and they reap the rewards of it. With your situation now, you'll be old enough to understand that you've been there and you have to take your rewards but you won't leave the market because there's no exit once you get in unless you sell everything you hodl.

Older investors wants to see BTC at $100k and above, so that they can take good profits.

Newer investors wants the price to remain at this range so that they accumulate before it will rise.

Procrastinators or people who are yet to get involved wish the price can return to $15k such that they can accumulate enough BTC.

The sentiment continues but the market behaves as it pleases it.

Sometimes I wonder why I didn't recognize bitcoin a long time ago? Because we never know what happens in the future, so it is what it is.

I have known bitcoin for a long time and during the bearish 2018-2020 why not take advantage of it first, and why are you only now realizing it? And that's how humans sometimes regret seeing old investors by still holding bitcoin until now because they are waiting for the next bullrun.

I admit that sometimes needs are always the main problem where bitcoin is sold just like that, and yes it is a lesson and now it has collected again but will wait for the bullrun to sell it.

Life is unfair, so get used to it.

Personally I don't really know whether I will sell my coins or not during bull season, reaching $100K is not something a big milestone for me because it only double of my holdings and I don't invest too much.

Maybe I would sell some and then wait in the next year to buy Bitcoin at bear season.

You asked to treat your post with humor. Smiley
All people are selfish, and any good deed (you can think about it later) is done only for personal gain, even if it looks like helping someone. Therefore, if an "old investor" sees your post and decides to give you a little from his wealth, do not think of him as a person who feels sorry for you. Good deeds are always done for personal gain, either a desire to seem kind or to console one's vanity, or generally long-term plans for you. Smiley
But seriously, you don’t need to chase anything; if you have goals, go towards them slowly, without being embarrassed by the prices, slowly but steadily.

Are you giving up on Bitcoin so soon? If no then why feeling disappointed? Bitcoin will still break records and bring new all time highs hence there is no point of feeling disappointed, it is never too late if only your intention is to buy and hold for as long as necessary, surely there are different categories of players in the market those that started before you, those that started with you and those that started after you, the truth is that it is not for competition, understand where you belong and make your best informed investment decisions as regards to achieving your investment goals and objectives. You don't have to scared of the price when the DCA strategy has you covered what's most important is consistency, invest with as little or more as comfortable you can be, setting up your emergency funds, reserve and floats funds so you can ensure the smooth running of your investment as never to sell too soon to solve your other living expenses.
