I BOUGHT THE 79956 bitcoins from www.bitstamp.net on March 1, 2011 on a computer I bought on February 4, 2011 at best buy wiith my mom.  I used instawallet, a microsoft windows desktop wallet to create the 1FeexV6 address and deposit the funds on the address.  I was attending UALR at nthe time and got a tip from a guy named Justin to buy bitcoin earlier in the month. when my stafford student loan went through i bought the bitcoin from bitstamp on my visa.  I have a photo of my credit card statement showing the purchase on March 1, 2011.  I also bought the 17.688 btc deposited on June 3, 2011.  it is on the same blockchain.com page as the 1FeexV6 address cause they both were transfered from my bitstamp account.  I recently recovered my computer i used to make the wallet.  I just have to undelete the wallet.dat file.  Waiting to get suitable living arrangements to do that.  living somewhere id rather not be right now.  moore. sc  My mom mentioned in her will and to her insurance company that she would like me to open my bitcoin account after she died and any help to do so would be appreciated.  one day a few months after she died in 2022, my gateway appeared in my fifth wheel.  i got into a little skirmish with the south carolina sheriff over the account and my living arrangements have changed.  my stuff is safe in storage for the moment.

‘You have purchased those coins though Paypal. This could be verified and this is where your case ends....’.  => Yes, you are right and that’s why I think that only an investigation agency has the power to confirm the transaction and end the case.

I purchased through PayPal, if anybody has issues with it, they can verify records with PayPal through an investigation. I am not claiming any speculations of any bitcoins.

You have to understand that no police no agency works with trust me bro things, you might have been scammed with that thing but right now you have no proof that it was indeed the case, you don't know who sold it to you, you don't have the original email, you don't have anything else than a string of letters and numbers.

Again, it's not a matter of being right, it's a problem of proving you're right!

Nor have I stated anything about other issues such as MtGox.

You bumped a topic about MtGox, your case should have been related.
Again, neither MtGox nor Coinpal would have sent you a key and not coins to your address.

If you want to pursue this on the scamming scenario open a topic here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
you will anyhow get way more views on your issue there

Why involve the FBI when you already have the USB? I mean,  you lost something and now you found it,  what else do you need? If your USB is working just learn how to import it to a safe and secure wallet.

Because of this: Invalid private key error
He claims to have purchased this (although that's not how CoinPal worked) and the key is not valid, but I don't see why would the the FBI or even the police would care about this when all he has is a key he claims to have received from somebody. I also don't see what this has to do with MtGox.

Hi all,
I purchased bitcoins in 2011 through PayPal on my credit card. I received an email stating to copy the private key and delete the email. The Privatekey was copied to an usb and the email was deleted. Later, I lost the USB. Recently,I found the USB. Can I request FBI to investigate. Any advice or suggestions, let me know.

You did not directly say you know anything, but you are alluding to it, you sent an email to Karpeles requesting to know if there are active claimants to the 'stolen' funds in the 1feex address, and you also asked him for the Japanese police contacts that investigated him, surely it does not take much to figure out that you are alluding to know something.

maybe, maybe not. or I'm just messing with you out of boredom. but I got the info I asked for, not from Karpeles but from another person and that's exactly what I was looking for in the first place

There has been no word from 1Feex yet about what happened and whether or not they managed to recover any of the funds.
1Feex is a 'controversial' wallet address and no funds has been touched or moved from that address, so who exactly are you expecting a word from, the hacker? Or Craig Wright who claims he owns the address and the funds inside of it, but that he has lost the keys required to spend the funds after he was hacked Tongue
I'm not supposed to tell anyone except the police or the lawyers. I didn't even say I know anything. I just asked for the claimants info and the other guy started it.

But if you are genuine, the Trustee for handling repayments to Gox's creditors is called Nobuaki Kobayashi.  Contact them.  They'll be far more actively involved than Karpeles is.  Even if Karpeles wasn't a useless, grossly negligent tit, the insolvency means it's likely that he's not even permitted to be involved in the proceedings by this point.  The lawyers are in charge now.

//EDIT:  These lawyers, specifically if you can't figure out how to contact them.  And some other lawyers involved are listed here.

thank you for the links. that's exactly what I was looking for

Is there an organized group of claimants for the stolen 1Feex bitcoins?
I tried to ask Karpeles @MagicalTux directly via email but he doesn't seem to bother replying back to me.
Claimants have a few options to pursue their claim. They can try to get a judgment from a court-ordered arbitrator, or through arbitration by independent third-parties like JAMS or another arbitration forum called OSC Apex International Business Arbitration Center (IABAC).

Then you could have just talked to the police or lawyers instead of posting in a forum

I didn't even say I know anything. I just asked for the claimants info and the other guy started it.
If you are easily incensed by people's suggestions, replies or comments, then there is surely one way to avoid that. Seek help and information from relevant authorities.

Good luck in what you are trying to pursue.

it's funny how I didn't mention any of it here but you still sound like you know the contents of my emails.

What choice do you give us when you allude to knowing something but won't disclose what?

As for Kobayashi, I saw this name on mtgox papers but there is no contact info of him

What choice do you give us when you allude to knowing something but won't disclose what?  You've been on this forum since 2017, Gox was hacked in 2014 and you only just pipe up now claiming to have relevant information?  Surely even you can see how suspicious that looks.  Look at it from our perspective.  We get all kinds of people here claiming they supposedly "know something" but the vast majority don't know anything.

Besides, you sound like you have some info or dirt on him, why don't you go through it legally, if you know who has the funds or who stole it why don't you go to the police or contact the trustee of the MtGox case? You make it sound like you're one step away from blackmailing him! Is that what you want?

yes, I might have some dirt, not on him personally maybe but it's for the police to decide.
and I already asked Karpeles for the Japanese police contacts, those who investigated him, he acts like he's trying
to sit it out rather than help finding the bad guy.
yes, I might know in which direction to look for the hacker.
no, I'm not trying to blackmail him but if he was interested in solving this case, he would've answered me

That hacker, and who might that be?

I will tell the police when I find their contact info or I tell to the claimants rep/lawyer if there's any

and why is it answering my email should be a problem? if there's a group of claimants, he could've simply gave me the info.
besides, it's in his best interest to get back to me, he knows why

Because he might not have access to it, because he might be getting 100 emails a day from different strangers just like you, and most probably of all because he obviously doesn't care? Besides, you sound like you have some info or dirt on him, why don't you go through it legally, if you know who has the funds or who stole it why don't you go to the police or contact the trustee of the MtGox case? from whoM
from the hacker

That hacker, and who might that be?
Anyhow, since I was promised interesting things, better try this topic:
MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering]
There are plenty of guys there that were involved in the Civil Rehabilitation Plan as victims, one might help you organize a community or whatever you plan on doing.

You contacted Mark over email about a thing he has been in court over and over and years after the court decision you actually think he will reply to a stranger and tell him everything? For real?
Is there an organized group of claimants for the stolen 1Feex bitcoins?

And from who do you want to claim damages? MtGox? You might be a little late for that!

Anyhow, since we're here, why don't you contact Craig Wright also, he claimed he owned that address, and since the first transfer to it was the funding one he was also the hacker, of course then he miraculously lost somehow everything related to that address but I'm pretty sure his lawyers will give you any information you want.  Wink
