Number of near 100% reliable exchanges: zero.

Bitcoin and altcoin exchanges are very poorly regulated, which means that everyone is extremely wary of selective scams, "hacks" "DDoS attacks" (Poloniex) and other withdrawal problems, shady activity and terrible customer service.  All of these things are painfully common.

I can tell you which exchanges are safest for now: for altcoins, use Bittrex.  For Bitcoin/fiat, use Bitstamp or maybe Coinbase.

You didn't mention what kind of trading you are doing and where are you from, I will assume that you want to trade altcoins/BTC without the need of ID verification's. I advice you to use Poloniex at any given time, Its definitely the best and has the higher trading volume out there which makes it trustworthy and buying/selling is instant as there is always supply and demand there.

I am a newb here and have been wanting to get into trading. The problem is I have noticed 9 out of every 10 threads in this section are warnings of not to use XXX exchange or YYY exchange etc... I have seen a thread from last year about what the best exchanges to use are  and it seems that people are now leaving very negative reviews of the exchanges that seemed to be the most popular among forum members before.

What exchange and or exchanges are you using? What exchange would you say has the best reputation and the easiest deposit and withdrawal procedures?
