Whatever the answer, you should not rely on that. Fundamentally, this is just a question of trust. In my opinion, you should go for technology, that makes breaches of trust almost impossible (like tor and bitcoin).

I don't know what exactly you want to do, but if that kind of tech does not exist for the project that you want to do, it might make sense wait.

Hello,
I would like to know whether services listed  in https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade#Dedicated.2FVirtual_Server_Hosting  and labeled as anonymous are truly anonymous. Meaning if they ignore requests from authorities to reveal IP address of the computer that submitted a registration, or any other logs that could lead to revealing the identity.

Not planning to do anything illegal just curious and i need to get 5 posts, so...
