They are safe.

If you just use unique address for each lottery, they can't track you easily.

No one can really do much (except giving btc) with a btc address.

That's what I do for each website/lotto. Easier to track that way.

I've worked in IT for a long time, I can't count the number of times I've seen scams that start off with "Just send your bank account number, and..."

So when I see posts in this newbie forum that tell me to post my wallet address for a chance to win something, I get really suspicious.   Is it safe, or can posting my wallet address an easy way to give someone a back door to screw with me?

Always use unique BTC address for everything, so you cant be tracked easily
