I don't think there's something called virtual world Tongue

The virtual world we speak of is a branch of the real world itself.

For example , we call the internet as the virtual world, but the modem I use, the ISP provider, the computers and servers connected to internet, they are all real.

The virtual world is a cool word but it's just a function of reality itself.

However, the question can be, is reality a simulation? For sure, we don't know, it can be. Elon musk can be true Wink

They say that someday we might have a chance to live in the virtual world, coexisting with our physical bodies. But with the existence of virtual currency such as crypto, and other technological advances like VR, Artificial Intelligence or Augmented Reality, do you think it is possible we are already living in the virtual world?

I think yes, we are already in that era, what remains is to try to exercise our bodies with sports, because practically the lives of many people depend on what happens digitally, and there are virtual reality devices that make the person have his own life in that world, in fact, there are smartphone games that make people's lives begin to change.

I am thinking of the anime SAO
Me too! I just recently watched the movie Ordinal Scale! I love how they compare AR and VR. I wonder when would be the time that level of technology will happen tho
Soon! I wish it can happen now too! Imagine the possibilities when we bridge the gap between virtual and the real world. It won't just be games, but we can create the world we design. I am also fan of adventure books and it always makes me think what if I can experience those stories on my own. But for the mean time, let us settle to the games we have right now and wait until that day comes.

I think we’re still on the path leading to that. I mean VR tech today isn’t perfect yet, right? But sure, the tech already exists, it’s only a matter of time before we can have a virtual world. It’s perfect timing too, especially now that our planet will soon be unlivable, right?

Yes, now we live in the virtual world, but still we have more time for real life and i hope that we won't live in the virtual world totally.

If we`ll talk about the probability of that, then most likely we actually are living in VR, simulation or whatever you call it. Even if VR will get 0.1% better each year, somewhere in the future it would be able to make games that human won`t be able to distinguish from real world. If you imagine infinite amount of universes with that abilitie, at least some of them would create global virtual simulation and the chances that we are in base reality are lower then 50%.

Yes, we are living in a simulation and the game is about to be over. The climate change and terrorism are two signs that we are almost at the end of the game. Be prepared because sh*t's about to go down soon.

You've heard the philosophers ' version that we're all in a virtual world, like in the movie matrix. This is the version haunts me, not your vr, the blockchain and so on

No, I do not think so. If that is possible in the future, we are still on the way early part. I say these because you can see, other developing or third world countries are still in the stuggle over technological advances.

It depends on what you define as a 'virtual world' - if you compare our living to 50 years ago then yes, it is likely that the various tech advances we have experienced mean we live in a 'virtual world'. However, if you are more referring to living in a world in which tech is the only thing, then no, we are not there yet.

Is virtual world like? Technology devices and technology are increasingly making our lives better. But that could be called virtual life?

Even with the abundance of this fancy modern tech, we are still living in the real world. We may spend a lot of time online, but in the end it is real life that matters - after all, we even do Crypto to gain more money to provide for our living. With our minds tied to our bodies, there are no virtual world so far.

Although, there is a possiblity that we a living in a perfect simulation, but this is a completely different and complicated story.

In a way, yes we're already living in a virtual world. For one, we have what we call cryptocurrency, which is a digital currency. Second, we have photos and videos, which we allow us immortality in some way. Now if you're talking about full-on living in the virtual world with our consciousness uploaded into the simulation, then the answer is definitely no, but I'm hopeful it will happen someday. Don't know when though.

I don't think we are, if you mean like in a Matrix kind of way. We somehow already live "virtually" though since we are already spending majority of our lives online. I am sure that I am not the only one who has my smartphone data on which sends me notifications on whatever update that happens on my social media or forums that I am following, or news.

Not yet, but we're heading there. Have you ever heard of the Virternity project? It's a project that was recently released and it aims to achieve digital immortality. With this, we could finally live in the virtual world. Cool, isn't it?

I think we’re still on our way to actually having a virtual world. Our life right now couldn’t be VR. It’s too flawed and imperfect. I mean, if someone were to design a virtual world, it should be close to perfect, right? I think with all the progress of VR, AR and even AI, I think it’s highly possible to live in a virtual world. I heard it could be life-changing too. Do you think this will be our saving grace amidst all this current political and environmental turmoil?

I think yes. If desired, a person can get a job to work only on a computer from home, buy on the Internet, you can also communicate in the Internet. Therefore, we are already very close to this.

I don't think so, otherwise it would be easier to live in such virtual world.

Yes, I imagined it probably would be easier to live in a virtual world. I do not know how that would go and what it would be like but it will probably be fun. Perhaps it could even coexist with our real, physical self someday.
