Some persons are addicted to trading but that's because they gave too much room to it. Spending all of your time looking at charts and thinking of what to all contribute to this trading addiction. We can try and put out some control on it

This would be quite innovative and its a solution to crypto addiction as I know many persons that are crypto addict and they are glued to their system and they cannot really stay out of their system for a while. This is a great step in the right direction
If the addiction to something good reaches at maximum level, you should leave it too. Some wise man once said, excess of everything is bad. Too much goodness condemns and spoil your nature and so is the bad. Don’t be at extreme levels rather always maintain yourself in a way that you must be at median point. You must have equal options to reach either side of extreme.

If you are addicted to trading cryptocurrencies you may need to go to a rehab center. Don't look further there is a hospital in the UK that created treatments for "crypto addicts" led by a former gambling and cocaine addict. They have drug & alcohol addiction programmes, but expand "their business" to cryptocurrency. Who know, in 10 years the pharmaceutical industry will create a crypto medicine.
Anyway, this is your change guys

Being called addicted to Trading is more honorable than being addicted to gambling or drugs. My family would even be proud of me as being addicted to it specially if it pays the bill, provides food for my family and brings my children to school. Maybe their target are those who continues to trade but have no money to begin with and steals money to continue trading, that's bad.

There is way more to it than you think. Addictions are all same in the way that they break people mentally, especially if it has been dragging on for years, which shouldn't be underestimated. At some point you as trader won't be able to function anymore and there will be no profits but losses, which isn't something your family would want you to go through. If you seek professional help for your addiction you know it's somewhat of a last stage for you. Most people at first are in denial about being addicted, and for that reason will ignore everything, but at some point they can't fool themselves anymore and have to admit that they have a problem.

thanks OP for the link.  I think I have light condition of crypto addiction.  i have plenty of times looking into my cellphone for coinmarketcap, telegram, bitcointalk and discord.  i think we will have lots of people having severe crypto addiction in the future.  good thing there's an institute now helping people coping up with this unfortunate behavior.

Well, that’s correct who will be a person who never become addicted with crypto currencies like bitcoin knowing that they can earn a lot of money. But doing this need to have control on your self. Balancing is very important in our life just like what other said.
Although balancing is important but many people are still caught up in trading, they can not control the action and become greedy, more precisely, money has enthralled them, they turn into a real trading addict and fall into a very dangerous situation. They will gradually forget everything around them, especially their normal life, if they do not promptly recognize and come back, they will forever live in prison they created until they ended up losing all, therefore, each person should have a plan or a method to avoid this, it can be a habit of entertainment or sporting activities every week or every day

Most people have some sort of addiction, whether it's junk food, sex, video games, crypto, etc, I wouldn't consider it a problem unless it is drastically affecting their health or financial status.  We only have one life to live, so I don't see a problem spending your time doing what you enjoy.  I've dialed my crypto life back a bit as well because it was starting to take a toll on my health.  Now I try to do everything in balance.

this is kinda funny, people thinking people are "addicted" to trading.
I doubt anyone is actually addicted to trading at all, its just a way of making money and if you are losing money doing it you can simply quit, no one gets addicted, when you have no money left you simply stop by force without your intentions at the worst case.

If you are getting into trading with the money you do not have luxury of losing and you are selling stuff to actually try to trade and make up the difference like this is some sort of gambling than it is just Darwinian way of telling you do not deserve to have your money and you are very well off without it because someone else with a better understanding of it now has your money.

It is true that cryptocurrency trading can be addictive!  At the same it is also true that the large amount of time spent trading cryptocurrency become less and less as you trade better and develop your own method to trading. Cryptocurrency trading is not a medical condition.

I do not think the transaction will make me addicted. Because it is only a form of monetization and this market is always unstable. I hate daily deals, it makes me tired.
I think we should look towards long-term investment and restrict looking at the price of the altcoins in the market. It will make us more time and more relaxed.

Haha, I used to be, but now I'm not. In the beginning, when I just joined this market; I just tried to surf from coins to coins and thought it's the best way to gain profit. It was not true for me because my skills were not good enough to do trading. Now I choose midterm and long-term trading to reduce the risk of buying at top. Less profit but safer, and I'm not addicted in trading Grin

Trading is like a job, you are doing it regularly fulfilling your profit targets. It is not a 8 hour job as Crypto never sleeps.
Some traders do not know what is enough and become workaholic. You have to dedicate time for rest and other activities.
Though, I have not seen any multinational company sending their employees to hospital as they work too much.
Healthy work/life balance is the key.

I'm just a bounty hunter, but seeing the prices of coin often make me addicted to them, I regularly watch prices and also bother about the market when the market falls. So I think investors are more addicted than me.
Investors cannot be an exception here. Investors and traders will be vulnerable to get addicted with these markets. Because when you are continuously getting engaged with something and which will be more attractive for your time and efforts then definitely you will get addicted at some point of time.

Interesting,  though,  I never imagined something like this will ever exist though, cause it sounds funny. I can't imagine that there are some investors who will ever be addicted to bitcoin trading expect to bitcoin gambling. It says the hospital is in Scotland, I guess this shows that there are high percentage of bitcoin trader and investors in Scotland and I hope this addictions don't push their govt to place restrictions.
I like to trade, I always learn and study a lot of trading techniques, you can see that bitcoin prices are constantly fluctuating and adjust very strong. So I need to learn more about how to manage capital but how to plan trading, the market fluctuates continuously so to not fall behind then I must always learn.

I think the crypto trading addiction is not good because all that is excessive like gambling will have a bad effect
Good trading should be consistent, efficient and structured
so I think rehab trade is an option for trading junkies because trading is not needed excessive but only in need consistent in trading
No I think that it is not bad for everything. Trading cryptos requires a lot of experience and money, if you have good money and having good experience in trading then crypto trading is too good for making money, people have already made a lot of money from crypto trading. I think that still there are so many coins which have good potential and can give a good profit to people if they will do investment there.

This information serves as an eye opener that really crypto trading is so addictive, if you become an cypto trading expert you will keep seeing manyy profit coming in so no question why many become an addict in this field and hopefully those country who has many trading addict will not serve as a signal to ban cryptocurrency on there country.

even when the situation is difficult though. they continue to trade despite high risk. I will not say it is addict. because that's their job

Everyone is starting their trading with the motivation of finding themselves as a professional trader in near future. Unfortunately how aware of this addictive nature of trading will be deciding their fate. I'm not here to discourage you, but stating the real facts.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
When I first invested in this market, day trading was taking up most of my time. I was almost addicted to trading day by day as I ran into the waves on the price of the market.

Others see trading as their main job, sort of their source of income so its understandable that they are spending 8 - 12 hours a day because its brings money and food on the table. I guess if it really involves some form of monetary reward like gambling, its going to be addicted.

I think the crypto trading addiction is not good because all that is excessive like gambling will have a bad effect
Good trading should be consistent, efficient and structured
so I think rehab trade is an option for trading junkies because trading is not needed excessive but only in need consistent in trading

Again, it really boils down how people see trading. Others are really hooked up because of the money they can potentially get/lost. But for me, rehab should be the last resort because I personally believed that individuals won't get addicted as long as they are not going to be greedy and as you have said, just be consistent and structured on their trading activity.

It's interesting to see how the headline reads “Bitcoin addicts” when the news is related to trading addicts, it's not the same. On the other hand, why they focus only on cryptocurrencies?, what about Forex traders?
I guess they are focusing only on crypto-currencies trading because it is being more attractive in present times, compared to any other trading platform. Because finding success in crypto currency trading is becoming easier as per we are seeing many people are making good profits out of their small efforts whereas other markets are seeming too complicated to find success with them.

Not all traders are not thinking in the same way, sometimes cryptocurrency seems to be a money making one but sometimes it is very tough to find the right one because suddenly the price started increasing and suddenly the prices will drop. I don't know about the other but most people find it sometimes difficult to make profits through cryptocurrency trading.

I have seen on TV how news readers were mocking people suffering from a crypto trading addiction, where the lady said that she doesn't understand how one can be addicted to something that doesn't exist. Really? If we discard the ignorance of that lady, how can you as normal (well thinking) person make fun of people with an addiction? It doesn't matter what the addiction is related to, the core of every addiction is the same and in all cases it's equally as harmful if people don't get the help they need.

You don't like crypto? Fine, but don't make fun of people needing serious help. I'm glad that there are places where people can get the help they need.

It's pretty much the same with how people initially were making fun of gamers with an addiction. Currently no one makes fun of them anymore because it's an acknowledged form of addiction, and the same will apply to people addicted to crypto trading. The mass needs time to overcome their ignorance. They have to put the few braincells they have to work, which is difficult for them.

We could argue the same thing for people who have smartphone addictions and get stuck on social media sites all day long. They're stuck in an alternative reality that is not anything like the world we live in. Essentially it is not real if you compare it to the true patterns of interactions between humans and the experiences that they have. But still people can get addicted to it, and some have even lost their eyesight from lying on their side at night and looking at the phone for long hours.

Conditions of our lifestyles are changing so rapidly that people can't even keep track anymore. And that is no reason to make fun of someone who is suffering from something that is alien to you. We're becoming so entrenched in our beliefs that we cannot understand how people could suffer from something like that, but in fact it is entirely possible.

Why does a trader addict will go to a rehab? If being an addict gives you a money, therefore it does not harm you. Otherwise it gives danger to our lives and health. But I think trader that gives their whole time in trading does not mean you are an addict but you just enjoying what you are doing. Enjoyment push us to do more and give our whole time whatever we do.

I don't really know about this one, sound good but how about the result?. Crypto is asset and everyone will try with hard to get it and some of them will never let it go, this is what they need to continue life. Learn and try hard is good but " addicted " is bad. I believe someone already see the problems as a business and this is how the present their method. Try it but not me.

However, the headline is a bit misleading as it's for cryptocurrency addiction ( i don't think people can get addicted to trading in general) , it's quite predictable , since people have heard of giant price jumping of bitcoin, they dream of having such ROI by investing in tons of coins hoping one morning one of their investing coins hit 10000% or even more .Everyone is looking for instant wealth creation.

I think that dependent people (like a person's type) will always find themselves dependent. Dependence - inadequately high susceptibility to this or that external influence, as a rule, in connection with personal inability to refuse influence as a result of such influence.
Indeed, trading increases the level of adrenaline in the blood. Knowingly, in addition to the well-known dependencies (alcoholism, drug addiction, game mania), there are other dependencies, for example kleptomania. Also there are people who are engaged in extreme sports, they are also dependent on the fact that a large amount of adrenaline is released into their blood.
We are all dependen on something. The main thing is to fully understand what kind of dependence it is and if it harms oneself or others, then you need to overcome yourself and stop being dependent. Not all people are strong, there are also those who can not cope on their own, therefore, such establishments are created and will be created.

Look at the many people who earn a huge amount of income, concentration and momentum in making decisions will determine the outcome we will get.
Most of what you see people write on the internet is fake or extremely exaggerated. I don't for a second believe someone who's bragging about his profits with trading, especially not when it comes to altcoins.

There isn't a way to book consistent profits allowing you to consider it a viable second income stream. Profits through trading are occasional and for that reason unreliable. The majority of the traders are losers anyway.

I have yet to find someone who's capable of making consistent profits through trading on a monthly basis. People think it's a piece of cake to make profits by trading, but that's because they haven't actively done it.

Those who are actively trading know exactly how difficult it is.

It exists also for traders in stocks etc.

It does, but with the stock market you at least know that you don't have to do anything in the weekend. It allows you to recover and freshly start the week, while with crypto it's 24/7 action. With how greed obsessed people are in the crypto space I am not at all shocked about traders suffering from a certain form of addiction. People are actually volatility chasers -- they don't care what coin it is, just that it bounces up and down repetitively enough to profit from. I have to admit that I was a volatility chaser as well, but never have I forced myself to keep trading. I have enough self control to take distance from the market in case I think it's needed, which unfortunately isn't the case for other people.

Yes, probably that is the same thing in addiction and this information looks like very interesting I never expect that there are a company or group of people giving a treatment in addiction of gambling or in trading. I guess it will result in depression to those addict person in trading, and that be curable someone.  I can't imagine the person who is too much addicted to gambling or trading, can't control their selves?

And when I lost in trading I feel weak but when I win in trading, I feel happy and don't know what to do next, there is a lot of imagination in my mind and a lot of emotion also I cannot express it. Maybe that's why some people are addict in trading.

This is my first time hearing a new type of addiction. If I ever become addicted to trading this would probably be my last resort.

this was the strangest thing I have heard! and it makes me wonder if they would have created the same thing if it was "stocks trading", "Forex", "precious metals",.... or different types of trading. why focus on cryptocurrencies?! that is the weird part.
Maybe it's the same thing for stock trading because on the article it was said that they use the same technique for people that are addicted to gambling.

Have I always been at the transaction places and checked the prices of the coins I held, and I always grabbed the opportunity to sell them if prices increased.
Your trading experience doesn't show any sign of being addicted to trading. Why even bother posting.

I was addicted I think because I traded even during market falling, resulting in losing my depo. So now the best strategy for me is making less deals and be patient.
That's not addiction, experiencing losses in trading is normal. Being addicted is when a person becomes indulged in to any activity and always does it to forget his/her problems which can lead to more problems (health, family, financial) if not treated.

Cryptocurrency gave room to everyone across the globe, to be a part of it irrespective of your status as an investor; either a novice or an experienced investor and that brought about a lot of wannabe investors not finding the knowledge to invest wisely first and then bumping into the idea of investing to get rich overnight and when reality kicked in, stories changed and being an addict out of emotional actions is bound.

However, I believe as time goes on, a lot of them will end up learning from the experience they have garnered if they want to and some would bail out at the end, which makes me believe the whole crypto addict things will gradually be subsiding over time which makes me not to see the need for hospitals opening a section for crypto addicts. Sounds funny though!

Have I always been at the transaction places and checked the prices of the coins I held, and I always grabbed the opportunity to sell them if prices increased.

Addiction in trading ? Must be a news for me. I have never come across any addicted trader whereas I have seen many addicted gamblers. So far, I was thinking like addiction is only possible with gambling hence I never think about addicted trader.

Oh yeah, it's totally possible. People can get really quite emotionally tied to their performance and follow it minute by minute. In this sense it is kind of like gambling because you're risking too much for comfort. Trading in small amounts where if you lose something it doesn't hurt, well, no one would really care too much for obvious reasons.

That's where risk management becomes critical. Van Tharp has done fantastic work on trader psychology and he came up with the concept of the risk:reward ratio. He says to calculate your stop loss and take profit before entering a trade, and if the take profit is less than double the stop loss, never take the trade. He calls that an R2 trade.

For me that trading is a very nice thing. In this job I am required to always do a good analysis because if I can not do well then I will not get anything and even could have a loss. This is a job that requires good analysis, if we can do well then trading jobs can make a lot of money. Look at the many people who earn a huge amount of income, concentration and momentum in making decisions will determine the outcome we will get.

Where is my ring of blades...
this was the strangest thing I have heard! and it makes me wonder if they would have created the same thing if it was "stocks trading", "Forex", "precious metals",.... or different types of trading. why focus on cryptocurrencies?! that is the weird part.

for example would you go to Warren Buffet and tell him that he is an addict because he trades? there are billions of traders trading in thousands of markets around the world and now it is the first time that they are targeted like this just because cryptocurrencies are involved. that makes you think why the attack?

I was addicted I think because I traded even during market falling, resulting in losing my depo. So now the best strategy for me is making less deals and be patient.

I'm just a bounty hunter, but seeing the prices of coin often make me addicted to them, I regularly watch prices and also bother about the market when the market falls. So I think investors are more addicted than me.

I am still learning on how to trade crypto. But who knows if I would be addicted in it. I was hoping that in the near future I would become expert in trading not being addicted to it.

It's interesting to see how the headline reads “Bitcoin addicts” when the news is related to trading addicts, it's not the same. On the other hand, why they focus only on cryptocurrencies?, what about Forex traders?

If you are addicted to trading cryptocurrencies you may need to go to a rehab center. Don't look further there is a hospital in the UK that created treatments for "crypto addicts" led by a former gambling and cocaine addict. They have drug & alcohol addiction programmes, but expand "their business" to cryptocurrency. Who know, in 10 years the pharmaceutical industry will create a crypto medicine.
Anyway, this is your change guys

But trading addiction is more tolerable than gambling and other stuffs. It's worth to put a shot with the same risk.

And on a side note, still way better to become a trading addict rather than a gambling and drug enthusiast although overall, risk of losing money is at stake.

Anyways on a fun part, if ever I will be put on that, Im afraid my trading skills will be gone due to undergoing rehabilitation lol.

led by a former gambling and cocaine addict.

No offense, but I can not see how someone would be addicted to trading, and the guy was addicted to gambling and cocaine are things that do not have anything like trading, this sounds really like a big joke, like somebody would have to spend hours making trade to become an addict, something that I find very difficult to happen.

cause it sounds funny.

I thought it could only be a joke.

To follow on from the point made above, trading is not all bad especially if you know your stuff you'll just be making money and how is that a bad addiction?

Interesting,  though,  I never imagined something like this will ever exist though, cause it sounds funny. I can't imagine that there are some investors who will ever be addicted to bitcoin trading expect to bitcoin gambling. It says the hospital is in Scotland, I guess this shows that there are high percentage of bitcoin trader and investors in Scotland and I hope this addictions don't push their govt to place restrictions.
I have been in the crypto market for more than a year, not much in trading experience but I was able to master the basics of trading and some technical analysis methods quite accurate.

I think that in trading only technical analysis is not enough, you need to combine with market information and good transaction quality to be able to trade successfully.

It really looks a new information for me and thanks for sharing such a good information because I was searching for a coaching center for personal development program especially advanced one by which i can improve the mindset and mental attitude of myself which every expect to have. Well, I have heard about rehab centers and also some Mindset Programs given by the Crypto & Forex traders who are a trader in themselves, I would like to attend for sure in coming months.
