Strong faith heals fear. Only who is strong faith? I was for one hour during a heart attack Smiley
you are right. So some people wish death.
They are not afraid of him. Because of their faith.

No.
I believe that I will meet my family and ancestors once I die and go to spiritual world.
It's just passing from one world to another, nothing else Smiley

Are you afraid to die?

No, because death is something natural.

But I also believe that my response is largely influenced by the cultural conception that my country and  culture has of death.

When I was young, yes, I am really afraid to die, it is because I also think what will happen to me if I die? Will I become sleep forever? What would that felt like? And then there come a time that I become knowledgeable about the Bible, and I strongly believe on it. The Bible allows me to erase my doubts about it and focus on reality like what am I doing now, joining bounties and trading that allows me to earn money that will allow me to take medication when I get ill, ironic isn't it?  haha.
Why did you believe on the Bible too much? Not an Gnostic atheist though, but an agnostic theist, I am just asking why do you have so much faith?
It is because of the prophecies that the Bible aforementioned and has happened, feel free to pm me so that I can tell you about it, anyway that is why I am now not afraid of dying because I know that there is another life after death. Anyways, now that I am still alive, I will not waste my time and will try to do things that will make me earn money like what I am doing now where I trade in this  site . It is proven as one of my favorite trading site because it helps me a lot in trading and other things like crypto exchanges,  and etc.

I was just thinking back then, what if I die right now how the hell would it looked like? Although I keep saying that I'm not afraid but whenever I think of my wife I can't possibly die right now.

And whenever I think about my death i feel terrified for the reason I will be missing some moments here on Earth. Though its already impossible to live a Hundred years right now, I still want to see how this world change.
Am not Afraid but i feel terrified, silly isn't it?

How about you? Are you afraid on dying? Have you considered keeping yourself alive to see the future?

death not what I fear, I fear for those already attached to my life as you said when you think of your Wife
there are things more important than me at this moment that I live for, so yes death is not welcomed now

Only the body you currently occupy dies.
Just like a computer is not dead when you turn it off it just needs someone to turn it back on again, everything in RAM is lost, ROM is still functioning and so it will start up again.

Of course, anyone who is alive will be afraid of death, because death is unknown to any living person, and only dead people will not be afraid.
If anyone doesn't die, then I bet he will get tired one day.

I think about it. All my friends told me that they don`t afraid, but I don`t believe them. When you are in 1 step to death all things change.

I think it's terrible, it's got to be afraid of it. But this is inevitable, sooner or later it will happen to everyone. I was not scared more than death, but the fact that I am getting older. My appearance is spoiled, wrinkles appear, I no longer feel young. It depressed me as a woman. But I found a clinic National HRT get legally . It is a good clinic where there are many innovative procedures. I turned to a doctor from this clinic, and he advised me to go through hormonal therapy. This helped make you feel younger. My skin has become tighter, my hair has become brilliant. Now aging is not terrible for me.

Not sure afraid is the right word. As soon as I die, I won't feel anything, I won't remember anything, I won't exist, just like before I was born.

So....whenever I think about it, it's the people I care about (and who care about me) that I'm worried more.

That plus I got things and places to see and be, so...wouldn't like to for now Cheesy

Yes, I believe that everyone is afraid (even if it's just a little) of dying and i believe it is more fear of the unknown as opposed to dying itself... does it hurt? Where do you go? Will I be happy? There are so many questions that no one can really answer and that is what frightens people. They say that companies try and play on peoples fears to sell products, and in a way I can see why they say that, but in other ways I do believe they are trying to achieve something profound - for example, companies who are trying to figure out how to make people 'immortal' and live forever, in one sense of the word, in a future that looks different to the current one are 'playing on peoples fear of death' but they do want to achieve something new (check out https://virternity.com/virternity for an example). So, yes, I am afraid but who knows... by the time I get old, it may be that we don't actually die!?

Death is not always painful. Some people die without any pain at all. But others have a lot of pain. ... With cancer, up to 90 percent of people experience pain at some point in their journey, and half of the people dying from cancer have severe pain, I am afraid to die.

The short answer to the question you posed would be no. You might be wondering why I wouldn't be afraid given how many people fear the unknow... For me, and I'd like to believe for many others, death holds no power over us because eventually all will die. What worries us most is, are we ready for the inevitable day that will come. In my case all the people I love and hold dear know how I feel about them because I let them know every day how much I love and care for them. It also doesn't hurt that I've got a good insurance policy in place. Prepare for the inevitable, it'll make life easier.

As a child, I could not understand how I could die, that people die, I understood, and how I could die didn’t fit in my head. Later, I realized that there is no death, as we understand it, there is just a transition to another form of life, the dead age of the body is reset, and the soul is released. But what dimension you will get depends on the quality of the life you have lived, how well the lessons are learned. Wink

If you re-read your post, you will understand that its not that you are afraid of 'death' in particular but about the loved ones left behind. I think it won't matter when one is dead already and this is a cycle (not unless we find immortality). I hope to live long enough to see this happen. Even if I can't avail the opportunity I would still want to see humans defeating death or conquering aging (however that happens).

Overall, I don't think I am. It's not the being dead thought that worries me, it's the pain in getting there that disconcerts me. It's going to happen to everyone one day. It's just how it happens that I would be scared of.

Death is inevitable and I don't expect humans to be afraid of it.
I think the right question should be "where will you be after death heaven or hell" ?

There isn't something such as heaven or hell mate. Its just a fantasy made in our minds. We have no soul but we have the power of imagination. Feelings are just made also by our minds.

What is there to be afraid off?  Living is like hell anyway!

I edited your phrase. And yeah, living is like a death for us anyway. Its better to die rather than this whole suffering.

if you believe in resurrection then you should not be afraid to meet your wife again in heaven. just do good deeds in life, help others while you can and die in peace.

There is no such thing as ressurection or life after death. Nobody had the chances to prove that shit.

Not only I don't want to die, but I want to live forever. There are so many things to learn, so many things to experience, so many places to visit, on our planet and beyond, that 100 years are not enough to do it all.

Yeah. Living in a 100 years isnt enough.  I just hope HUMANS can just be undying and explore the galaxy without fear of dying.

I think it would be best for me to ask if death is afraid of me?

You're just being silly, its not your time yet. Life is still shittin on you mate.

No I'm not afraid to die especially when you already live your life to the fullest.

I really doubt people who says that. Whats living to the fullest means to you anyway? I think its not that different in living a longer period.

Yeah.. I’m not afraid to admit that I’m afraid to die. I’m not ready to leave my loved ones, and I can’t imagine not being able to do the things I enjoy doing. And I think it’s this uncertainty that makes me want explore anything that will help prolong my life. I try to live a healthy lifestyle, and if a certain technology or scientific advancement would be available to help me live longer, I’d probably grab that opportunity. Who doesn’t want the chance to live a long life? And aren’t their projects now devoted to exploring the possibility of immortality? That should give us hope, at least.

The main thing is that my family would be safe and sound, the rest does not matter.
I have said this many times to my friends: do you remember what happened before your birthday?
Don't remember.
So why are you worried about what happens after?

Of course I am scared of dying! I am 31 and I want to enjoy my life as I am not going to get another one. I don't believe in any kind of after life. What we have now is all we are gonna get.

I accept I will die one day though so I try and enjoy life as much as I can. I hope when my time comes it is quick, what scares me more than dying is living in tremendous amounts of pain for months or years while I slowly fall apart. I fully expect I will kill myself if I am honest. Not for a long time, I am certainly not suicidal, but if I were to be diagnosed with terminal cancer tomorrow I would kill myself when things became too much. I think it is awful that we will end the life of a pet that is suffering but not a person.

Absolutely! I'm still quite young, and there's so much more that I want to do in my life. If only there's a way to live forever I'd probably take it, but sadly there isn't a technology or a pill that can make this happen. Sad Is there?

I don't know about a pill, but I've heard some companies that are working on this. I'll have to Google it again but I think it's about editing our genes or something to do with our consciousness. I hope they'll succeed. I believe someday we might be able to live longer, don't you agree?

if you believe in resurrection then you should not be afraid to meet your wife again in heaven. just do good deeds in life, help others while you can and die in peace.

No, really, I am not at all afraid to die, as our life will definitely become boring through ages. M'while you never know what's gonna be happening with you afterwards...

Not only I don't want to die, but I want to live forever. There are so many things to learn, so many things to experience, so many places to visit, on our planet and beyond, that 100 years are not enough to do it all.

No fear of death, for we all come here to learn lessons, and depart when we have learned the life lessons we came here to learn. Having had major spiritual NDE/OBE and meditation experiences, I have no doubt where we go when we pass on.

All will be well.

I think it would be best for me to ask if death is afraid of me?

If anyone doesn't die, then I bet he will get tired one day.

If it's me, I guess not. This world is already big enough for any humans, the only thing is we are the ones who make ourselves uncomfortable and feel like there are nothing left to be discovered for the reason we took it already into our minds that this is not enough to sustain the current population.
Maybe a years from now there would be more exciting things to try on so I really doubt that some will get tired of being alive.
Even if you're the only one whose capable of living like that, though it hurts for seeing other people die on you but on the other side its awesome, and for that reason you may be the one who will/ can write their history.

It's just a sad thing that living in a longer period of time is only on fantasies.

Of course, anyone who is alive will be afraid of death, because death is unknown to any living person, and only dead people will not be afraid.
