I thought the Joe Rogan podcast was more interesting than the documentary.

I haven't watched the documentary, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Are you going to storm area 51?

1. Hell No
2. Not that I would even consider it, but there's no real purpose. If the government was holding anything there, it's gone now due to the publicity Area 51 has garnered over the years.

Except, according to Bob himself, he doesn't have a "business" model. He hasn't profited off the story, and any money generated has been sent to charities.

Quote
"If Lazar is a hoaxster, as many claim, I'm hard-pressed to understand what he actually got out of this whistleblowing. He certainly hasn't profited. For the most part, Lazar has shunned the spotlight and attempted to distance himself from UFOs while coping with relentless attacks on his character and credibility."

If what he says is true and he makes zero from his claims (which I doubt) then I would say he's probably just a fantasist rather than a fraudster. Some fantasists are just mentally ill, whilst others are just insecure about their lack of achievements, but others will also make claims to try enrich themselves. Regardless of the reasoning fantasists often make claims because they just want to be a part of something or go down in history as important in some capacity. You get it quite a lot with people claiming to have been in the army especially claiming to have fought in certain wars (which is called stolen valor) or people claiming to have degrees/doctorates or qualifications they never had or earned. As people say, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and that's where I lie with Bob. If this guy was privy to so much of this information then surely we would have more than just his word. If he had access to all this stuff then I'm sure he could have just as easily taken a few pictures or taken some sort of physical proof but that obviously becomes impossible if he never had access to these things in the first place.

I believe him because he simply didn't had any "changes" or "modification" with regards to how he tel his story for 3 decades straight.

He has. He even addresses this in the documentary.

He did, apparently, take videos which are available online while outside of the base (before the land grab). But I highly doubt anyone in a highly-classified military base would be allowed to bring in a camera.

I don't doubt the potential he was just young, looking for attention, and maybe now he's become tired of the spotlight.
But that still doesn't explain certain pieces of information he brought up in the 80s, that was proven 20-30 years later.

With all due respect, that’s not something you can just learn from the Internet and be objective about it. That’s why we need someone as passionate as you offline. area-51.cc.

I still can't believe this joke got so popular.

That's what I think about religions, but billions of people can't be wrong???  Cheesy

Well I would then argue why was he given access to such top secret information as a relative nobody. If what he says is true you would think that only the highest level of government officials or scientists at the top of their field would have this sort of access and would certainly be held accountable for leaking such highly classified material/secrets.

Just look at people like Edward Snowden and Chelsea Manning. IF they came out and just said the government is spying on us and they're logging everything we do but I don't have any proof then only conspiracy theorists would believe them, but both came through with actual receipts and a colossal amount of verifiable proof. The government is still after Snowden and Chelsea got 30 years but was pardoned by Barack Obama but look like they got her back in jail for some other bullshit now.

All I'm saying is you need more than just your word for these sorts of things otherwise it's just talk. I don't know the full details of what Bob Claimed about things that weren't known at the time but could it not be a coincidence or he just made something vague up that later turned out to bare some resemblance to something he made up?

You're not sure whether a guy talking about UFOs is telling the truth or not??? Has he provided any proof whatsoever or do all we have is his word? Is Craig Wright Satoshi??? All we have is his word and also a lot of lies and misdirection and I think the same of Bob. These guys just lie their way into infamy and that's their business model as they make money from trying to sell conspiracy theorists books and public appearances and so forth. Lazar is full of bs and this is just how he makes his money.

Lazar claims he earned a master's degree in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a master's degree in electronic technology from California Institute of Technology (CalTech); however, there are no records of Lazar attending either MIT or CalTech.[5] Furthermore, Lazar was not a member of a professional body.[citation needed] Lazar speculates that his academic records were erased in an effort by authorities to discredit him.

Really??? There's really no hard evidence of anything he claims. Photos?? Videos??? Documents??? Nada.

There's also a documentary on him: Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers. Doesn't give you any sort of proof though just a whole load of talk. This drawing he did is practically the only evidence he provides in it:

SNIP

What is it that makes you inclined to believe him exactly? I think Tom Delonge from blink 182 on Joe Rogan made a better case but he's still crazy.

Except, according to Bob himself, he doesn't have a "business" model. He hasn't profited off the story, and any money generated has been sent to charities.

That's where I kind of draw some doubts.

I know there's probably better sources, but https://www.thespec.com/opinion-story/9453861-film-on-netflix-finds-ufo-whistleblower-bob-lazar-seeming-less-crazy-than-ever/

area 51 is a scam. why reveal this ufo stuff all of a sudden?

The original story was reported back in 1989.

He is telling the truth of what he saw, but it was all a mind fuck troll. He worked on a Hollywood set and did not even know it. They wanted him to leak everything that he thought was real.

I'm a huge fan of the Joe Rogan podcasts, and recently he had a guest on by the name of Bob Lazar. Depending on your age, you may or may not be aware of the gentleman. But essentially, he's involved with the whole Area 51 conspiracy, and he's probably one of the more reputable members of society to come out and make claims against the airbase (see the last part of the podcast where he talks about the "conspiracy" community at large).

I honestly don't want to paraphrase his story, as I'd probably miss many details & not do it justice, so I'd completely recommend you take the time and listen to the podcast yourself.

You can listen to the whole Joe Rogan podcast on your favourite podcast app, or on YouTube (which I would recommend) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEWz4SXfyCQ

I'm not a huge fan of conspiracy theories, but there is something about his story that does seem to ring true to myself. I'm sort of inclined to believe the guy.

What's your opinion on it? Do you believe in his story? Do you believe him 100%, or do you think it's a load of BS?

With recent news about Area 51 popping up, and becoming more and more mainstream, I though it'd be a good time to get opinions on his story; and for those who haven't had an opportunity to listen to it, I though I'd share.

Opinions?
