As far as I know there is no way that our device get compromised via phonecall, most of them were social engineering scam attempts and now due to the evolution of AI, deep fake and voice it's possible to impersonate as anyone and can try to believe that you're talking to someone you know.

But when it comes to receiving texts things are completely different, if you ever asked to click any kind of link that's coming from random then high chances for it contains malicious links.
yeah and I also believe that virus cannot be installed or used via phone calls but with the use of
internet now there are lots of things can happen that we do not expect. and yeah life is very difficult
nowadays because of what technology is bringing .
I don't see any way to get hacked from the phone call. Hacking happens more by installing some kind of apps and clicking on unknown links. There may be a possibility of breach of privacy. Again if you can't send or receive emails from your phone it means hackers have taken control of your phone. Be careful before making phone calls and sending any messages.
or maybe the hacker is starting to using the call in hacking our voice so they can generate
victims from our friends and relatives.

For me if I do not know this number I will not get that phone call. It is a real person he will leave his message or a text message for me.
There is call centers which have my phone number I think so I get so many phone calls all the time. I dont know if it is true we are getting hacked.
There is alot of scammers trying to do this on the phones. I think that is the problem with this.

I usually don't answer random calls unless they message me first and if I know him/her I'll immediately answer the call.
same here , not unless I recognized the number or i was expecting someone to call? but if not and just a ring coming? i mostly either cancel the call or deny it and wait till it text me for something important because yeah I know about this scam via call that is taking place now.

For safety purposes don't randomly answer a call unless you are using a phone number that is not connected to any wallet account or exchange account or anything with money involved because they can maybe able to trace you or hack your SIM card just for safety never answer them.
exactly specially now that min my country there is a SIM registration already that hacker can identify our credentials from our phone numbers.

Our information is being sold everywhere. When we visit websites or when we input our information in different platforms, our data is given to different companies and hackers and scammers get ahold of these somehow. This is why we should be wary of spreading our information around.

Do not take calls from unknown numbers. They come in forms of text spam too where they will text you to get your attention and ask you to do something, do not fall for these baits!

I have been receiving these calls and when I answer, no one responds. I think that there's an outsourcing from whoever is on the other line and they're trying to know if the numbers are active that they can victimize.

I forget the exact term for this scam or hack that they've been doing. But after receiving dozens of it, I am annoyed and never answers them anymore unless they're known to me or they'd text first for whatever they need to me.

Otherwise, if they're important and real matters, they can email, text or message me on my social accounts.

I too share the same practice as you, avoid random calls, especially from numbers I do not recognize. If the caller has something serious to discuss with me, they usually text first, explaining why they are calling.

One purpose of my saying this is to warn you Maybe many are familiar with this type of hacking, and some are hearing about it for the first time.  Most of us understand these calls, but we talk too much to be a little naughty and have fun. Many people think that there is information in my mobile that can be hacked. But one thing we must always remember is that any personal information provided by others is enough to annoy you. So if you get such a call hang up without saying anything. Hackers are using hacking methods, so be careful yourself and warn others.
When it comes to security, one needs to take great care with unknown phone calls. If you use a number associated with your bank account, trading account, or any other vital data, I would advise against answering calls from unidentified numbers to avoid becoming a target for fraud or being tracked down.

It could be possible and it's a new way of hacking as far as I know till now someone can't hack something just by calling someone. If it's true then the mobile companies need to work on it and they should add some layers of security to existing android and iOS versions.

It's almost impossible for someone to ignore unknown calls. We have a short list of numbers saved usually and we receive random calls, they need to be attended sometimes it's important. This should be cured by the companies otherwise it'll be a big setback for the users.

It's not easy to avoid answering unknown calls, because we don't exist in isolation, except it's a number that you shared exclusively for a set of people, then you wouldn't pick any calls that's not stored in the phone, apart from that an unknown caller can be someone you know or could be of importance to you. From my understanding of what bitMaxz, said, to be on a safer side to guide against phone hacks on our crypto wallets, it's better to have a separate phone for crypto transactions, that we can't use to answer random calls. I've heard of people that have been hypnotized through phone calls and they're asked to reveal their sensitive financial information, we just need to treat unknown calls with a level of suspicion until we know who the caller is or why we must give the caller audience.

Provided you are using a phone you must encounter unknown calls ones a while even though it may not be of this hacking nature.

What I do about unknown calls is that I don't answer immediately I see the call come in, I just believe if it's someone that really knows me and he's serious then he will have to call again when the first call ends without me picking.

Assuming the unknown number calls again and I pick, I make sure I be the first to ask who's this? On the note that you are not giving me a worthy response that seem rational of someone I know I cut the call immediately and block the number.

It's also advisable we use Truecaller app on our phone so we can identify caller's identity before me even decides to pick a call.

If you answered then he inteoduced something odd maybe thats when the hacking will occur if he offers tou something and do some of what he asked like a promotions or whatever. Sometimes these people are trying to gain some info from you with these basic questions that you dont know already been tailing into something like account password or any important things like bank or even crypto funds.

There is no way you can get hacked through a phone call, and if it's going to be possible you will be asked to give the permission, either by code or something else, I advise not to give attention to strangers call, if they can't say who they are in a very short period of seconds you must end the call.

Some will pretend to be working for your bank or SIM card company, make sure you use your head, you should be able to figure out that they are fake, like I've said they need some code, and every codes that exist shouldn't be shared with anyone else.

Lack of knowledge is why many people fall for sim attack and bank account drainage hacks.

Never use your phone number to open a crypto exchange account, and do not use crypto wallet that gives option to use your phone number, bypassing is easier for hackers when phone number is involved.

There are a lot of cases of these unknown phone calls I always heard the rumors of getting hypnotized on phone calls which is actually pretty scary if you're going to ask me, but never really believed on it seems impossible to actually happen to you, I have a friend who has a story of getting his laptop rob in a bus, he said that he get hypnotize and he willing give his laptop bag to the robber then after a few minutes he realizes he gets rob. I don't know if it is possible on phone calls, but so far I didn't really encounter it, I always answer all of the phone calls on my phone, because if it is an important call on an unknown number I wouldn't know it at all if I'm not going to answer unknown numbers. So far there was nothing happened to me that is a scam.

In my opinion, it is pretty much impossible to get hacked on unknown phone calls, as long as you know what you are doing you are knowledgable enough on this kind of things, plus not to mention that you have multiple layers of securities like 2FA, phone numbers, emails etc. With just talking to someone it seems impossible if I'm  going to think about it, but if you watch the movie Beekeeper scammers are always making this kind of phone calls and people that doesn't have enough knowledge, especially on computers, they are going to manipulate someone to do somekind of transactions, then trick them to send a money or probably giving them the password or some kind of key to their account. That is probably more believable to other cases, what I mean is the indian scammers that do phone calls, which is already operating on large scales.

The bottom line you're going to be safe if you know what you are doing and you are knowledgeable to this kind of thing, they cannot do a thing on you if you already have a idea about it, I mean its not as easy as you think like what you watch on movies, where the moment you answer the phone call you get hacked instantly.

Not your keys, not your coins!
If you have good discipline and practice, you will not be hacked by any phone call.

Being disciplined and have good practice like don't store all things on a single device for example your phone.

If you have your email on another device like your Desktop computer or laptop and only login your email on that device.
If you turn on 2FA (not SMS code option) for your email.
If you have 2FA for your exchange account.
If you don't log in your email, exchange accounts on your phone.
If you use strong passwords for your email, exchange accounts.

I believe that no way for any hacker even Lazarus Group to hack your phone and get any connection to steal your bitcoins or cryptocurrencies.

People get hacked and lost bitcoins because they do everything on one device.

With phone, you have Sim Swap attack risk.

Yesterday I suddenly received a call from an unknown number. I answered the phone and heard a muffled voice from the other side. I thought the voice could not be heard due to network problem. And meanwhile, the phone got disconnected, and I was busy, so I couldn't call.
This afternoon the phone rang again from the same number. After receiving one asked, can you speak English? I said yes without thinking, and immediately the person on the other end started talking. His manner of speaking was: I have a job offer for you. You can do this alongside your work. $1500 will be paid per month. I was surprised to hear such amount. What kind of work? He replied that he could do content for their YouTube channel. He also said many other things. (The guy was speaking almost so fast in the local language that I couldn't understand anything at the end.)
Meanwhile, one of my friends sitting next to me saw my conversation and asked me to stop quickly. I immediately cut it off. Later, I got to know from him that it was a hacking call.
This is called GSM hacking call, which does not connect the cellular data of the mobile while talking to the caller. Later, the mobile data connected to that network started getting hacked. So hackers try to pass the time by talking like this. And the numbers they use are all closed numbers that connect through the internet What a strange world we live in, where even our phones aren't safe anymore
One purpose of my saying this is to warn you Maybe many are familiar with this type of hacking, and some are hearing about it for the first time.  Most of us understand these calls, but we talk too much to be a little naughty and have fun.
