Well done sharing your knowledge. I think given emphasis or importance on the last topic is much appreciated. I do hope that they learned it by heart and apply what they learn in the real world. Having someone to teach this is lucky. Some arent have folks that will teach them the basics and only needed to learn online which is on part of newbies will likely not sync if they dont understand what they read or understand the concept.
Not just on fraud and scams but definitely on how to secure their wallet privately as a lot of hackers and scammers target crypto wallets and steal the funds in it. Anyways, kudos to OP as he has made an exceptional efforts for his neighbors and i know even in these simple way of sharing his crypto knowledge, it will create a lifelong changes in the future once application starts today. Great job!

MAaaN...!! CUT THAT STUPID SHIT
good job to be able to introduce cryptocurrency in this recession time. With any media you pass on crypto knowledge to your neighbors and people near you.
But do they immediately accept what you're trying to tell them, crypto-related? and don't they question why crypto needs to be studied? this is real action you do, imparting crypto knowledge quite simply. you may also need some examples or practices of how to do crypto transactions, so they know how the cryptosystem works.

I like the method of teaching adopted where written material was provided for reference and follow up. It will still be a kind measure to do a check up when the finally start investing ensuring the keep their portfolio simple and stick to Bitcoin until they are knowledgable enough to try out a few alt.

At the end of the discussion I remember telling them that my doors are open to anyone of them for further inquiries and on issues they need more clarification about what they have leant and if I should have anything from them that's beyond my reach I'll always come to the forum to obtain it from other experience bitcoiners.

>cryptocurrency  fraud and scams. Etc.
This is a very important aspect for newbies, and although it will be difficult to completely exhaust all the strategies used by scammers in cryptocurrency fraud, raising the awareness to them that cryptocurrency is the new field scammers are exploring will get them better prepared and save you from the accusation that you introduced them to something fraudulent. If it is possible you keep them updated to this end on issues regarding cryptocurrency fraud and scams, please do so while they are still in their early stages in crypto, so their curiosity don't turn them to victims.

Good job you have done, keep it up.

You did a good job. A number of people are getting in touch to some communities to give them the idea about crypto currencies. They explain the basics about crypto but most often they are concentrating their discussions about the possibilities of earning substantial yields thru crypto investments and trading. You did different and you are remarkable on educating your friends. You highlighted the volatility of cryptocurrencies. You bring up the ways on how to store them safely. And you notified them the widespread frauds and scams that are also existing in crypto.

I took the opportunity of sharing my knowledge about cryptocurrency especially bitcoin on a round-table discussion with my neighbours, which I gave some basic dictation and explanations about cryptocurrency and the wide range of opportunities that's is embedded in cryptocurrency and it's operation as I know it so far. I don't claim to know much but I've surely learnt from being attached to this forum for a while now and it's been life changing. Its very important that thought this change might start with me, it doesn't have to end with me.
My motivation behind the exercise of exposing them to cryptocurrency was born out of necessity based on the recession crisis facing the economy of many countries of our world in which many persons are facing untold hardship as people are losing their jobs  due to layoffs by there employers. And so I felt like, it would be a great opportunity to arm them (my neighbors) with cryptocurrency knowledge in times as this, just in case things should grow even worst economically among them, they would have the leverage of choice to engage in cryptocurrency investment or trading to fill in the gap while trying other options.

I am someworth glad with a deep feeling of accomplishment that I could be able to transmit my idea of something of value, the much I've learned from the forum to other people that are in the dark about the cryptocurrency innovation and to correct some flaws been spread around by anti-cryptos. For I may not have taught  them so comprehensively about bitcoin as it would have from a professional but I believe I have just played my own role as an eye opener to them, encourage them to do more research on their own about cryptocurrency, most especially bitcoin and I could see the expression of joy on their face after the round table discussion and sharing of ideas.

Cryptocurrency might not be a saving grace from all troubles of the world and certainly not a get rich quick innovation but its sure to save some trouble and prepare humanity for a time to come.

I am amazed and I really appreciate what you are doing.
You did your best, not just bullshit but really put in a real effort.
The period of recession is a time that everyone fears and will definitely be difficult for everyone.
While everyone may be looking for ways to survive a recession and may only care about himself,
But not with you. You are a person who really cares about others by sharing your knowledge about cryptocurrency.
The discussions and knowledge that you provide will certainly benefit those closest to you.
I know what you are doing must be hard, but I hope you can succeed in escorting them to open up their horizons in the world of cryptocurrency.
Maybe one more thing, remind them by emphasizing them not to put everything they have into crypto assets,
because we know they also have to have money that can be used directly to accommodate basic needs which are likely to continue to rise.

Excellent idea, OP. You have done extremely well in taking the time to discuss your love and knowledge of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency with your neighbors. I hope they understand well and will learn more before beginning their own investment.

I'm glad you were able to explain that cryptocurrency is not a get rich quick scheme or innovation because that's the mindset that almost all beginners have when they first start using cryptocurrency, which is why so many of them become victims of scams.

If these are close relatives or close friends do well to stick even closer because if the try things out and it gets complex they will always want to attribute their bad ordeal to the information the got and the same goes if it gets all greenish. Teaching crypto requires that consistent follow up until they can comfortably stand on their own.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
We've been getting a lot of threads about people teaching about bitcoin/crypto lately. Hopefully you guys put a lot of emphasis on both security and scams, as while bitcoin/crypto can be a great tool financially, it could end up getting people totally wiped out if something goes wrong.
Yeah....
Information is paramount. I always say; it's very important that anyone who's tutored on crypto currencies and it means of operation should be told that it turns out badly sometimes.... (I've watched my stocks reduced intermittently and sometimes, it feels painful and frustrating though but, any new toddler in crypto would simply begin to panic and prolly, withdraw 'em funds)
I believe that if anyone is told about the sweet times, they should also be told about the bitter and awful times too as that will create an awareness in their minds about how it works. I'm currently doing the same thing but, she's haven't posted proves to that anyway : I'd always try to make them understand that it's an influx many atimes but, - a huge loss many more times too.

I still think it's important that people take an interest on their own. And I think that interest will be stronger where the standard of living is much lower than in other countries. People are forced to look for other ways to earn money. I'm just expressing my opinion. Several times, I tried to get my friends interested in cryptocurrencies. But I can't do it. Bitcoin remains a bubble for them, and I'm not used to doing something and convincing them if I don't see the point. As long as people have money and earnings, they believe that bitcoin is a scam.
OP, I envy your altruism. I see more notes; that is, you really prepared, and your lesson was not a simple conversation on a bench.
But I agree wholeheartedly with mk4. Pay more attention to stories about how many people have failed with bitcoin, and talk about the reasons for these failures.
@lovesmayfamilis and mk4 , thank you for drawing my attention to that, it's really an important insight and  I'll do well to bring that to their knowledge cause it's necessary they know.

Bitcoin To The Moon 📈📈📈
Well done you have introduced crypto at the roundtable which will be full of history to your friends after a longer knowledge discussion.

To know about cryptocurrencies, you don't have to face a recession, but it's also important that in the future they have to know about this and they can develop further in finding good finances, even though what you say is not to get rich quickly, but at least after they introduce themselves and later have their own way to learn bitcoin there they can find something of value without having to rely on other people so this will be useful for those who learn from now on.

Good topic arrangement, because you have prepared everything from the background of introducing crypto to them understanding everything, so keep on fighting.

I hope at the end you're able to teach them the pros and cons in cryptocurrency and that you have specifically mentioned bitcoin to them which should be their target and first exposure currency to start with, let then know the risk involved so that they wouldn't hold you responsible whenever they make loss and talk about how volatile bitcoin is as well, they need to understand this aspects very well even before they start to invest, this will help them gave a good background knowledge of the things they are expected to see during their journey and lastly, help them understand the means to which they can also have their bitcoin in their own wallet and not with centralized exchanges, not your keys not your coins.

Nice work!

What are good platforms for crypto that can be used by residents in your country?

Would they be interested in things like sweatcoin which is an app that can be installed on smartphones to track the number of steps a person takes. Their exercise is rewarded by them receiving sweat coins. Perhaps apps like coinhuntworld which is similar to pokemon go. With you might guess the main difference being people walk and search to receive crypto rather than pokemon.

It was claimed that some venezuelans sustain themselves financially through playing games like, I think it was runescape, online.

Information is great. But I think real world application could be one of the main things crypto has to offer the world. Seeing is believing.

Might also want to talk with them about scams in general and how to avoid them, as Bitcoin is often used as just a tool for such things. For instance, as I type this, there's this guy messaging me on social media that I "won" a "giveaway" for a pair of sneakers but that I have to pay a shipping fee to receive them (LOL!). Of course, I will not transfer him any money, but I just want to warn you that scams are everywhere.
