Yes you can just copy the .armory and .bitcoin folders from your home directory to your fresh linux install.

I should probably point out that, while you can copy the .bitcoin directory to the new computer, you should delete the wallet.dat on the new computer (after you're sure you have a backup) and make a new one. You should never run the same wallet.dat on two computers.

If someone else knows about the armory folder, I might add that it is a watching-only wallet.

I'm not entirely sure about armory, but as for .bitcoin, yes, you can just copy the entire .bitcoin folder.

Just a quick question. I just lost a HD and have now installed linux on a new one. However I don't feels like spending the next 3 day downloading and processing 15 gigabytes of data
