My  mistake.
I had an older Version from the website not 0.96.4 from the forum here.
I think with 0.96.4. it works

Hi,
when getting to know Bitcoin a while ago i tried to install Armory but switched to Electrum as it was much simplet to use and I didn't need as much security. Now I wanted to try Armory again but I'm struggling with setting it up to run the Database and Bitcoin Core on an external Harddrive.

Bitcoin Core downloaded everything to the harddrive and is working.
When I do the --datadir for the Armory Database it also shows me the right location in the log file. But I can't manage to get the Bitcoin Core correctly. When I do it in the settings it still shows "Satoshi BTC directory : C:\Users\Tim\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin" and when I try to do it with --satoshi-datadir i'll get an error every time i try to execute the shortcut.

The logfile 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Armory\ArmoryQT.exe.log' could not be opened:
[Errno 13] Permission denied: 'C:]]Program Files (x86)\\Armory\\ArmoryQt.exe.log'

That is the logfile with only --datadir="D:\Armory" and in the settings automatically with Bitcoin Home Dir D:\Bitcoin

I don't know how to get the logfile also with trying the bitcoin part, since armory is not starting then.

I'd appreciate if anyone had an Idea how to fix it.
Merry Christmas
