Hi HCP, you were right - although my Armory was online, it had only 320,000 blocks or so. I'm not sure why...
If Bitcoin Core was up to date and Armory was not, then the most likely reason would be block file corruption causing the ArmoryDB to stall during the block data parsing... We'd have needed to see your Armory logs to be able to diagnose that.

As I just wanted to sell the BTC, I used your tutorial to shift to Electrum and it worked a treat.
But it appears that it is no longer any issue Wink

Glad you got it sorted. Thanks for the update.

What is the number of blocks being reported in Armory in the bottom right corner? Huh

It should say "Connected" (in green) and if both Bitcoin Core and Armory are fully synced, working correctly and communicating properly, that number should be >= 644757 (which is the current block height as at the time of writing this message).

NOTE: If your number is less that 644757, it means either Bitcoin Core is not fully synced, or Armory has not fully processed all of the blocks from Bitcoin Core. The transaction to your "1BMgrV..." address was included in Block "545368", so if the number of blocks in either Bitcoin Core or Armory is less than this number, then Armory will not be able to "see" it, so it won't display.

If you're "desperate" and just want access to your coins, and don't wish to use Armory going forward... then I would recommend you export your private keys and import them into another wallet. You can refer to my guide here on how to export your private keys (you only need the private key that matches the "1BMgrV..." address): https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.43255691

Hi, bit of a peculiar issue I have here.

Back in 2018 I rushed a transaction whereby I downloaded Armory, created a wallet and sent BTC from an exchange to that wallet.
Problem was, I didn't realise I had to sync Bitcoin Core as I was a newbie!

I left the issue as I went travelling for a number of months, however on my return (June 2019) I tried to get my BTC back! I had major problems getting Bitcoin core and armory to talk to each other, as I had the DB on a external hard-drive. And after many months, I gave up.

Fast forward to now, and I need some cash! So I'm back on the case.

This morning I finally got Armory and Bitcoin Core talking to one another - What seemed to work was I got the DB fully synced before installing armory. So at least I'm one step further forward than I was.

Now my issue is Armory not recognising there being a transaction.

I sent 0.0626BTC to this address: 1BMgrVqtk4fBAXTx5ezY9HpK4uKLgwpo37 on 11th October 2018. (https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1BMgrVqtk4fBAXTx5ezY9HpK4uKLgwpo37)

However, Armory shows that address as having zero transactions or balance.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can find my BTC?

Many thanks.
