libra developers said they want to attract non-banking people into the financial structure. But is this a doable task? If coin scales are focused on third world countries, then why do they need this whole story with regulators in the USA? We would launch our own hub in Switzerland, as planned, and work like other cryptocurrencies and stable coins.

I am not against supporting migrants, people who banks will not serve because they do not have a credit history. For this, many blockchain projects were opened. But none of them said, look at me, here is a coin for you, it will be accepted all over the world. Dude,
Why give people tokens and altcoins that they don’t understand when you give them jobs? Ok cryptocurrency market requires knowledge of how to manage financial processes. But they are not difficult to obtain, especially when training courses on trading from taklimakan network appeared, besides that the platform is multilingual and there is no problem learning something yourself, so that you can later earn investments, trading, consulting, marketing. Now is the age of digital technology, people don’t even have to see you personally to collaborate
I want to ask the community here, do you trust Libra anymore ? Because for sure it cannot be the King of crypto , those are just dreams ant nothing else as no one could overtake bitcoin no matter how hard they try. Just because they have some big companies names that are willing to invest into Libra this won't put the currency into top 1 ...or even top 10 so just stop dreaming. If we are talking about the King of Cryptos then it is just bitcoin, the one real king.

Can't still understand why people are so excited about Libra coin... That's really funny in fact Smiley
I would rather consider investing in Facebook shares if you really think Libra will succeed Smiley
it's easy to get big profits at LIBRA if they hold an IEO in a big exchange like Binance,
maybe people speculate like that, therefore Libra is always waiting for their IEO or ICO

The centralized coins have a future like decentralized coins but it is too early to see a full decentralization. The blockchain is not fully applied to the traditional economic and financial systems but we wait for the optimized world with the blockchain technology. The peer to peer system advantages can change the world but everything has the timing and Libra coin is a middle step for reaching the goal IMO.

that's because libra is supported by many big companies behind this coin. including Facebook, which is a social media platform that can facilitate the dissemination of information and advertising. especially now that we see that Facebook has adapted from social media to become a platform with buying and selling features. This has been very helpful for users especially if Libra has been launched it might be that Facebook can become a trading platform with many features in it.

maybe this is a method for making viral news about Libra in various media ... so many people talk about libra which will attract people's attention to be able to invest in libracoin later ... by sharing the benefits of libracoin ... and what we need to know is here we are looking for profits for ourselves ... so whatever coins come and can give us an advantage, we will always support ... but don't be Libraphobia that preaches excessive ...
So, do you believe that libra is an investment place, don't you?

Libra is stable coin, which mean your chance to gain profit through this coin is impossible (it might possible if you hold it for long long term investment).

You will support money fiat and centralized system if you think libra is fine to be supported. I'm not hyptoricate actually, but I just like cryptocurrency will always be seen and has decentralized system which is mean there will no party who can't manage/manipulate it.
Libra is not anything near to the true digital coins. It does not hold the essence of decentralized coins. People who will spend money in it should not fill their heads with high hopes because Libra cannot do that. Nothing will be changed in terms of economy with this because in a nutshell, only the form of currency is changing from paper to digital. Decentralization is the most important feature.

People invest in crypto because they know that the future for crypto currency is so bright that they can imagine what if they have a lot of coins
being hold, its a very big money once it happens,
second is that they want to make profit as we know there is a big money in crypto if you know what to do and how to earn it, imagine the airdrops
people can make a lot of money just by signing up and wait for token to be distributed, and sell it to the exchange, crypto has a lot to offer
to the people, and benefits them so that is why there are lots of them betting for crypto  to be world wide

Libra coins are stable coins and are suitable for investment assets if I think, because even if they are traded they will only get a small profit. so having a Libra coin is like having a savings account
that's a joke. libra is a failed payment system and that will have the same purpose like stable coin or i can say fiat in crypto form. The real purpose of libra is not about to be trade in the market but it's more likely to be a payment system. It's not like having saving account.

It's annoying but what can we do, the company behind Libra is the giant in social media so expect that people in crypto are going to talk about it until they got their product release next year or whatever date they wanted.

Again, crypto is a free market, as much as we have BCH or BSV or XRP or CSW, we can't really stop then here. So everyone should grow a thick skin here if you wanted to stay in the crypto market.

Why are people not getting it?its kinda annoying hearing from people that Facebook Libra coin will take over.

The first question I would like to ask such people is why are they investing in crypto?majority of us on here wants to make profits apart from supporting the technology and that clears the fact that I'm only investing in bitcoin and altcoins because they aren't stable.

People aren't getting it that if bitcoin becomes a stable currency today many investors will start using bitcoin just like they are using tether but what about those high gain?sorry guys investing 2000$ in stable coins will remains at 1999$-2000$ forever.

Either bitcoin and altcoins bring loss or gains that's what makes them more interesting,Libra is a stable coin,no more no less and no matter how good it turns out to be its not an option for investment to me,I don't know about you guys.

If Libra gets on exchanges I like using like binance yes I would gladly use it to back my crypto Worth's just like using tether or usdc, nothing more or less.

Enough of libraphobia.

I really don't think that people here get it. So what if Facebook's Libra project is a centralized cryptocurrency platform? Do you know how much promotion this scene and community will receive once Libra project is backed by congress and given the green light to go? If you think there was a lot of capitol here within the markets now, imagine once Libra is introduced to every Tom, Dick, and Harry around the world? People will dabble into other cryptocurrencies guaranteed. I'm sure the market caps would probably soar! There will be so much capitol flowing in from all the new comers, it makes adoption almost inevitable.
The majority of the people I know use some form of social media, most don't touch Bitcoin period, but If Facebook is backing it, everyone from children, to grandparents will be using crypto, just because everybody else is doing it. Humans tend to have a "monkey see, monkey do" mentality when it comes to social behaviors.

Why buy bitcoin?  I don't know, it's a good investment that can also be used as money if need be, and I have purchased stuff with it in the past.

I am not a 'Libra-phobe' but I can't understand what all the hype is about it besides it being facebook's baby, their foray into the world of crypto.  Their user base alone should ensure that it sees a lot of use...if it gets launched, and that's a very large if.  Better still would be that Libra leads its owners to gain an interest in other cryptos, chiefly bitcoin.  I have some hopes that it will achieve that, but again only if Libra makes it thru the regulators.

I believe it will be a good addition to crypto-market. Investor can have opportunity to invest in safe altcoins. But recently I have read a news article from a trusted site that show the problem that coins is facing.

This shall be true and for adoption's sake. We all want adoption that BTC and altcoins can be spent like fiat but when it comes to regulations we all take hundreds steps away form it because its facebook that is initiating it.  Facebook will bring us to the adoption we have always been wanting. The easiest way to spread the information in today era is social media site and facebook has it all.

Government only fears that Facebook coin will take their control away from their citizens and that is why some of these giant countries are already campaigning against Facebook Libra coin. If you look at Facebook, Facebook is more like even large than the largest country in the world in terms of population, the largest country in the whole world is china, which their population is about 1.7 billion, and the population of Facebook users is over 2 billion.

Government fear Facebook ceo could have a very high power more than even the government if he succeeded in eventually making the coin become a global coin, but i think that except they arrest Facebook, Facebook will go ahead with its coin, which it is even impossible to do so, because of the freedom he has, and the only way to stop it again is if they declare cryptocurrency illegal which could nullify the Facebook coin itself from being in existence.

The hype about Libra coin is high, I hope the coin will be able to maintain this hype,  and not be like bisdaq exchange coin which has a lot of hype and does not perform beyond expectations
The fact is that if the Libra appears in circulation, then this coin will undoubtedly be used. And it does not matter whether it is a stable coin or not.But comparing Libra with bitcoin is somehow incorrect. If Libra only lives on Facebook that Bitcoin will be lives all over the planet.

How many people are using Bitcoin? 10 millions?

Are we free on having LIBRA? or it is manipulated?
Bitcoin users and doing it freely. what is the big thing that LIBRA can give to us?
And why comparing it to BTC at this early stage?

I believe that Facebook coin will drive many more investors into crypto because its one of the largest social media platform but making the Libra coin a stable coin is not a very bright idea
The amount of people that will be interested in crypto for sure will grow indefinitely because like what you said Facebook is the most popular social media platform that exist in this world, for sure in a matter of months after the release adding people in this community may increase
But that doesn’t mean everything will favor for Libra/Facebook because in this way people will learn about bitcoin as well and having comparisons may result to advantage of BTC,the world is afraid of bitcoin(and a pall cryptocurrency)because of the negative issues thrown from Fudders but now they will be enlightened and may effect to changing of support from Libra to Bitcoin and other altcoins

I guess Facebook is preparing for something new which is completely new from their current business and they know that they are very popular which is probably why they also wants to take advantage of their influence to enter the crypto market and make things happen, little did they know also that as much as they have friends that are laughing with them is same as much as they have enemies that would tend to kill their product before its arrival.

I don’t expect that people could just assume from their mind that this is what the product will cause and then interpret it to the real life when they have not even seen the effect of the coin. Everything we do has been based on assumption, and I fell that people would have just waited for the coin to be released before throwing stone  at it if they find it not worthy.

That's silly to compare Bitcoin and Libra. What we should learn is what Libra will make for crypto and will change crypto space. If Facebook successfully launches Libra, we will have a real revolution of crypto. Trust me, with the launch of Libra, Bitcoin will still there, but most altcoins will gone.

It`s silly and this hype around Libra is started by facebook lovers. It`s silly their trying to compare Libra and BTC, it`s impossible. Personally, I don`t plan to have anything with Libra coin, most of all because it`s centralized and it will be a stable coin. When I plan to get more interested in some coin it`s mostly because of the potential of that coin to rise in every way, in the price too. I think the Facebook coin doesn`t have the potential for growth, they will be just another bank.

Libra could be good for crypto as it will make it appear more legitimate once a big company like FB gets involved. However it could be bad for personal freedom and from a privacy perspective. I don't think the aim of the coin is to compete with BTC. I think their primary aim is to use it as another weapon in their customer data mining arsenal. They will use this coin to suck up your purchasing activity and build it into their behavioural profiling models.

Remember with FB you are always the product.

We all want to protect Bitcoin, because we understand this technology liberates us, it's a store of value that is why everybody wants to hold it, Facebook Libra coin already stated that they are going to be a stable coin, and with all the resources they've got, that can become of the premier stable coin in the market.

After few weeks thinking about this
I think no coin should be stable! Even fiat money still have inflation!
So the best stable money that we use to measure value of others is not stable.
So USDT Is enough stable coin, facebook is too big to creat a coin. That would be disaster.

I have also been advocating and telling some friends that libra is not a threat it will be rather good for crypto market and btc because it will bring millions of users and new money to market and at the same time it is different than btc and other coins so there is no competition to replace eachother, the only thing that can bother crypto community is that libra's volume can soon become huge and it can out perform many big coins in no time after uts trading starts.

Only noobs will compare Bitcoin (King of crypto) to Libra. Libra which is a stable coin doesn't pose any threat to BTC as proposed by noobs. Miners need to take permission before mining in Libra's setting, this is a downside comparatively. Libra is a great boost to crypto with respect to adoption mainstream but people should stop saying it will overrule BTC.

I do not think people really speak of Libra taking over bitcoin, and that is why many people don’t even want it at all, because they would not want anything that will jeopardize or affect their investment in bitcoin at all. You know how we humans are, it is only you that understands this about the both currencies, not many people does, and no matter how many books they read on it, when Facebook coin comes out, some people may start dumping bitcoin with the fear that it will affect bitcoin, not knowing that it will have absolutely no effect on bitcoin.

Facebook is a stable coin as you said, and since it will not be used as investment, many people will still have for transactions which will really not be a bad idea, because Libra coin may still be more relevant than tether and other stable coin.

I believe that Libra will help to spur on the adoption of more decentralized cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

However, Libra is actually designed to become increasingly decentralized over time, this means that after a few users of operation it could eventually rival Bitcoin as the cryptocurrency for the people.

Don't count on it though, I expect there will be several legal hurdles in the way that will prevent Libra from taking this form.

BTC of course is the best. No contest.
While Libra is just a stablecoin like you said, there must be something on it otherwise it would be stupid of facebook to create just that kind of token pegged in USD. Facebook is like a big country of its own and can make this Libra useful not just as stablecoin in exchanges. But we'll just know this when its released.

it would bring a lot more new people to the industry in general.
That could be the only thing the coin will bring to the space, maybe more fund will come with the people. It is arguably not a typical cryptocurrency that have been seeing; not decentralized and involved intermediaries. Bitcoin in the past 10 years had shown to us all its intricacies, both to the government and traders, we could say it can be condoned and has come to stay.

I consider Libra as a way of payment and in this case, I don't see any threat to bitcoin. Because bitcoin is mostly used as a store of value and trading. Yes, it might reduce bitcoin usage as a way of payment but who cares? That's not what gives value to BTC so it won't affect the price IMO.

Libra is just a shit joke, but I am thankful to Facebook and Libra because they actually help to boost bitcoin from bottom to around $14,000. That's fine and amazing to witness such ride of bitcoin this year. The ride that partially come from Libra's side effects, has wipen out fears among crypto enthusiasts and they actually have stronger believed in crypto future.

"This town ain't big enough for both of us"  Grin guys, the purposes are different. it's a payment coin and I guess it will have an easier user interface - where many crypto projects fail. I don't know why the crypto community is so attached to tribalism. And yes libra has the potential for a bigger market cap, doesn't mean they are "killing" bitcoin or any other.

Libra is a stable coin used for payment. I find it does not affect the crypto market apart from pulling more cash into the market, which has strong influence on bankers.
It, a bank that nobody controls, holds the shopping behavior of 2 billion people in this world.
It is the banking system in the world that will be impacted strongly, not this crypto market.

Everyone must be different in seeing coins. Bitcoin has been proven in crypto in my opinion as a stable coin that is very good and very reasonable if many people invest in the coin. Libra is also good according to people's minds because the coin is a coin that will be issued by Facebook which is a great company.
It's not, when the chart with very high accuracy about the comparison between the technical specification that used by both already very well explained about that and why do we need to feel confuse about that? the reason is majority of them don't even wanna read about that dude.

I believe that Facebook coin will drive many more investors into crypto because its one of the largest social media platform but making the Libra coin a stable coin is not a very bright idea
