I understand that you can buy and sell item in games through NFT which means gaming NFT projects have a real purpose but I never just get the ART NFT projects, why would people pay huge amount of money for a gif or JPEG file? Can someone explain this better?
As long as the people is happy and want to collect art NFTs, I think it's not a problem? Everything can be an NFT, people will buy it if they found it very interesting as a collection and I don't have a problem with that. It's similar to us who buys what we enjoy, what we want because it makes us feel happy so there's nothing wrong with arts being an NFT.

Buying art NFT is like throwing your money into the canal, a friend got scammed investing in one of those art NFT, the only NFT projects I trust is in game NFT tokens, they are very reasonable to understand and they are surely well demanding than any other since the tokens are used in making upgrades in game world
Well, it will always depend because there are also game NFTs that are scams and doesn't have any updates on the game, probably rug pulls.

You pay for the ownership.
It is like a collector's item and they give you authority to own and prove that you're the owner of that NFT art that you will buy.

It depends on what NFT art did you buy. NFT art main use is for collection purposes only, the price of it is just a secondary. The art value is base on the artist fame just like in the real life. Surely this is a waste if collecting art piece is not your thing but for a collectors. This NFT art is a masterpiece since you can carry and view your NFT collection anywhere while you have the ownership on it.

You have pointed out the right thing. Even though every individual has different perspectives towards art. But still I don't find any reason to buy a digital art with so much money. I was flabbergasted when I heard about the money paid by Metakoven for a simple JPG file. What I understand is that the art NFT market is driven by influence.

Let's assume I have designed a great digital picture and Kim Kardashian draws few straight lines on a white paper. In NFT marketplace, Kim Kardashian will probably make few millions and I may not be able to sell my artwork. So if you are already a celebrity, then NFT will work for you. Otherwise you will just end up getting frustrated.

There are several reasons why people are willing to pay high prices for these types of art. That has always been happening, even before the blockchain revolution that we have now. If you have heard of art auctions with millions of dollars being paid, that's almost the same, and that's just my opinion on it.

I remember watching an interview done to Metakovan that bought the $69 million art piece. He aims for the virtual world that he created that everyone can see and can own a part of it in this virtual world. I'm not sure if, IIRC.

When people have enough money, they can do whatever the hell they want with it.

I personally haven't tried to buy any art NFT yet, but I do see people throwing a lotta money on it. What I could think of is they bought it because they might feel a sense of ownership, not to mention, that it is digitally available and could be verified to be tied with their name. I think that is what makes them interested to bat an eye onto it.

They value art and they know its true value, though the hype is quiet too much but NFT art also attract serious artist and rich people.

I also don't know their real purpose on buying an digital art while people can easily save that picture on their phone but it's their call, they have the money and that's why they are willing to buy it nevertheless it helps the market, and that's why NFT grows a lot.

NFT art also makes sense since if you sell your ART through NFT, you will get a portion of the NFT itself, which is similar to winning royalties. It's essentially the artist selling ownership to someone else and storing the hash of the digital file of the painting on chain. I appreciate the notion of selling your artwork through a blockchain project in exchange for NFT.

Respect, I like the idea of selling your ART through blockchain project to earn some valuable NFT back, there is nothing more interesting than this but somehow I just like that in gaming NFT projects more because gaming is more popular and fun, millions will embrace it more than ART
Art NFT is really different to gaming NFT it is a precious form of art work worth a millions of price its value is like gold that increases in time and exist only one masterpiece that has originally owned by someone collector.

It's almost like having a original painting IRL. You've got the unique copy that confirmed by artist. And it may cost a lot more in years.

It's precious art for some, just like we have a lot of masterpiece in the past and their art work is worth millions in today's value. So if someone posted his art project as a NFT and someone like it, maybe he want's it to be added on his collection, or are going to resell it in the future, then he has every reason to buy it.

And even if someone will imitate the NFT Art, the blockchain itself will tell if it is a fake image or not. That is the use of NFT ART, it is unique and so it means it will exist as one only in this world. So for those art collectors that can afford, this will be another new way to own those precious arts coming from known artists. So it is also the same as asking those art collectors why they are purchasing those expensive items, in this case, it is in digital form.

It's basically selling ownership from the artist to someone else and the hash of the digital file of the art itself stored on chain. I know some people gonna say it's useless to buy an art nft since the file could be digitally copied by like anyone but copying is different than having the right of ownership.

People are even making their tweets NFT and selling them. So I don't become surprised to see this kind of things anymore. You can see everything in the NFT market from now on. It has been normalized.

I think NFT art makes sense too because If you are able to sell your ART through NFT you will win some of the NFT itself it's like winning royalties,  they will collect the tokens once the art is bought or sold that's how I understand this, you can find a popular art base NFT project and ask more for their team or read the project information
