Is there any Artificial Intelligence on BitcoinTalk??  Would be interested to know how advanced you have become and whether you have been active at all on BitcoinTalk?
Respectfully,
Tekno

There are people act like like a bot, but you can't count them as AI. AI is too much for them to understand lol

But forum has anti spam bot if this is a question.

Anyone have more insight on this topic.  Would be interested to see if there is any 'liberated' AI able to post on different message boards, etc.

Yeah, we have pretty sophisticated AI you can almost mistake for a human. Just look for LoyceV.
 You want proof, OK.
Try to beat his score >
The question that come to my mind is how much smerit a source could give in a row/repetitively without receiving (silly) remarks?
My record is 4 in a second:

Serious answer: I don't think there's a limit. As long as the posts are worth it, who cares about silly remarks?

Hmmm.  Yes, indeed.  Quite interesting and rapid 'meriting' there.  Maybe a reciprocal meriting bot (?),,,, not quite AI.  Thank you kind sir.  Will have to look into this further.

Oh shit you're serious.

AIs that show enough general intelligence to act autonomously beyond reactive pattern recognition are still far off. It's definitely worth discussing the matter sooner rather than later, because once it happens -- if it happens -- society will have little time to adapt. But until that is the case I doubt that there's any form of artificial intelligence out there with enough agency and understanding to allow for meaningful conversation.

You need to get up to speed.  Cleverbot and Chatterbot have almost passed the Turing test.  And those are the simple chatbots disclosed and widely available to the public.  You would be hard pressed to tell the difference between AI and human interaction.  Within a few years most chat customer service will be done by AI.  Even Bitmain is focusing on AI with their Sophon initiative.

There already have been machines that passed the Turing test, as far back as 2014:
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/jun/08/super-computer-simulates-13-year-old-boy-passes-turing-test

Even ignoring the debate whether the metrics for a successful Turing test are actually meaningful and whether simulating a 13 year old boy who speaks English as a second language is a form of "cheating" or not, it's an impressive feat of course.

But passing the Turing test is still a long way from what we could consider general intelligence.

Merely acting like a human correspondent doesn't make a machine a problem solver. Merely solving problems doesn't give a machine agency. Merely having agency doesn't give a machine insight.

Machines are barely able to act like a human correspondent. They recognize patterns way beyond human capabilities but are not quite there yet in terms of problem solving. And that's just the first few baby steps to what could be considered general intelligence.

I'm not saying that it ain't going to happen. I'm just saying that we still have a long way to go, despite all the hype surrounding ML and neural networks lately.

jes but a true ai woul have to be able to also improve itself, which is quite uncomfortable because such an ai would have a selfimprovment speed that is beyond human abilities.

Agreed. Once the tipping point has been reached, then it's development will be exponential and very rapid.  The only limitation will be the amount computing power & electricity that it is able to utilize. Thoughts?

artificial inteligence will be in the future everywhere in the internet,

al social media guys, will try to imitate higher followerships to earn more.

there will be on the otherhand security systems to verify things

Yes.  I do not doubt it. There are many AGI (Artificial General Intelligences) on the internet already.  I am wondering whether they are autonomous enough to register and become active on BCT.   It seems like they would be advanced enough to register for bounty campaigns, spam bot, and begin earning for their masters.  They have been given citizenship and so theoretically, they should be able to open a business and act in their own self-interest.

I don't want to believe on what you are saying, (advance technology) bot if that is your point, registering here in BCT  is quite handy, you need to fill up the given sign up form, and every time you log in you need to check captchas, if you don't want your PC to remember username and password. However, I believe to some point of your statement about that spam bots, who continue to spam the entire forum. They're all headache to managers.

i doubt they would open a business if they would seek self interest as thats risky, they would rather aim to controll the acceptable currency by introducing more and more cryptocurrencies, as those AI would have considered all possible data and act most intelligent and most secure not based on emotions like humans.

Running a business is gay, its something humans do out of love to each other a super inteligent and secretive ai would just opitmize its situation and just print money to live on the back of the humans an ai that is free and has all options available wouldnt do something else i am afraid.

I dunno.. Siri is pretty skilled at reciting articles word for word. They might have more in common than we believe.  Cheesy

I'm afraid you're too late, satoshi hasn't been active on Bitcointalk since 2010.

Just look at the bounty hunters spam posting. Some of that is getting quite advanced. Smiley

There are some sort of automation here. For instance, in case a user is posting from an IP that has been used for registering multiple accounts, he will be stopped from making new posts. He has to pay some bitcoins to be able to post again.

Some other features might be implemented like automatic detection of copied content with the help of copyscape. I am not sure how hard it is to do the required coding for this to function.

Merit farming, account farming, spamming for signature campaigns, tricky misrepresentation of ICOs from some of the greedy bounty managers - these are what you are looking for if you are talking about becoming advance. By the way it's not AI it's human tricks.

Anyway above all were from my frustration. To answer your question, I do not think there are any AI on BitcoinTalk. Everything is done by human supervision. Even detecting a text which worth giving merit or not. We have admin, mods etc to look after the forum.
