Hi there!

I'm Sabrina and I'm an artist (not digital).

I'd like to begin to sell my artworks by accepting bitcoin, but I don't have (and I don't want) an e-commerce.
How can I begin to enter in the Cryptocurrency world? And also to let the people know that I'm available to accept this form of payment?

I don't know anything about cryptocurrency and I didn't really understand by reading few articles.

Thank you very much for reading my topic!

Sabrina

The current FOMO is NFT (non-fungible tokens).

Learn more here:

Create some good NFT and you could easily make a couple of ETH.

NFTs

I was going to suggest NFTs, too... but it's a lot more of a digital thing, and the OP doesn't do digital. Having said that, if you are an artist and you're interested in crypto, then NFTs are definitely something to look into.

Basically if you just want to let people know that you accept bitcoin, then I think it's a simple two-step process:
1) Get yourself a bitcoin address. If your only aim is to accept bitcoin payments and then convert to 'normal money' rather than hold the bitcoin long-term, then setting up something like a Coinbase account might be sufficient.
2) However you advertise your art, just tell people that you also accept bitcoin. If they ask to pay in bitcoin, then tell them the price and give them your address. Or simpler than the address, the equivalent QR code.

Do some research on non-fungible tokens or "NFTs". It's pretty much the cryptocurrency trend we have right now and lots of artists are selling their digital art for good money. And while I don't get the hype of selling "ownership" of literally .gifs and .pngs (because I can't make any sense of it), I really don't blame people for taking advantage of the hype to earn some money legitimately.

And then how does the transaction work? Huh  Huh

Smiley thank you for the answer

First of all, you need to get your bitcoin wallet. There are a number of solutions you can find information in this forum, but the general consensus is:
- a software wallet (desktop or mobile version) for smaller amounts
- a hardware wallet or "cold storage" for larger amounts, i.e. better security.

After that, you will be able to create your unique addresses to receive payments.

When you want someone to pay you in bitcoins, you just send them your BTC address (or publish it on your website) and wait for funds to be available on your wallet. Only then you deliver your art works to them.

You have to create a personal page for yourself from the beginning. Write all your work, which I also sell in digital currencies, so that if anyone wants to buy it with Bitcoin, they can find out.
The second point is that you do not know about the digital world and this is unfortunate, but do not worry too much Sabrina.
I suggest you visit YouTube ....... Wink

I just read the rules for selling. But I don't understand. Here there are only people selling stuff about cryptocurrency. I have painting and sculpture. I'm really a neophyte!

Personal page, do you mean here? I have a website, not an e-commerce.

It's strange to just post pictures here. Does it really work? People decide to buy here? And then how does the transaction work? Huh  Huh

Many types of artwork, what kind do you offer, paintings, carvings or others.

But here board for discussing Bitcoin.
If you want to sell goods or the like you can create a topic here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0
You can see how people do it there.
And one more thing, don't forget to read the rules that apply in this forum regarding the sale of goods.

Just try to find information there.

This is the rule that you must read and understand.
