As a newbie, you need all the possible help you could get, interms of everything. There's quite alot to learn from the system though the tasks involved are complex but when explained and broken down to pieces, to the layman understanding, it becomes simple piece of information to comprehend. Newbies should steadily contributes posts related to significant topics and also indulges in projects on the forum, by providing crucial ideas which might serves aides, leave out merits because it's distraction and will channel one from the main focused of building.
Most time newbies need more than what they are going to get from here as teaching to be able to grow, they need to be their own personal teacher too, they need to develop the mind of learning on their own make their own research and they also need to be willing to learn in other for them to learn very fast.

Their are people who have their hands filled with all the information they need to succeed but they lack the zee and willingness to learn from their, unless the newbie is determined to learn everything that might be given to them as learning material might end up in the wrong way.

Thank you because even though you are a new member of the forum you want to know about this forum and learn about all the topics in this forum. It is not a problem that you may not know something now but since you are interested in knowing, you will surely know. Some of the members of this forum think they can learn everything by themselves without trying but they are wrong, everyone's time is valuable so no one wants to waste their time teaching you something by themselves. If you have interest in knowing and learning, you will know and you need to have enough patience to know or learn. It is not possible to learn anything completely in a day or two, to know something well you need to spend time and be patient. I hope you have enough patience and you will spend enough time in this forum.

Since all of us here was once a newbie and now we have reached a level above the newbie level, we have the experience and how op van patiently grow his account without being desperate to reach the height where he would be comfortable and beat his chest that he had goon through stages and now is at a higher level compared to where we was few months years ago.
One of the ways op could grow here is to be patient and keep working and writing good posts to get to the higher level.
Apart from just continuing to make posts, it's also a good idea to make quality ones that can also provide new understanding and insight for everyone here. because apart from the activity from posting, merit is also still needed to be able to reach a higher position.

I am tired of seeing posts from newbies saying "I'm new here, what should I do..." ...

That gave me a big smile. I don't know what it is that newbies openly ask for spoon feeding like above. Lack of brain cells? Laziness? Inability to search and comprehend information, reading and understanding forum rules, sticky topics and more? Phew, who knows...

If you came new to the forum and registered your account, there's no immediate need to post and ask childish questions or for spoon feeding. This doesn't really attract the attention you maybe want. Just read along, learn to use forum search, try to contribute to existing topics. Rarely there's true need to open your own topic as most newbie's topics have been written and answered already in the past.

First of all welcome to this forum.

As you are a newbie you need to know and understand a lot about this forum and even there are various rules that new users must follow. If you want to know and understand about this forum you have to patiently spend more time here and even follow the posts of wise users and read more. Generally small users should follow the posts of big users to get a clear idea of how they are posting or what they are posting about. Finally one word for you to know something you must have your own interest if you don't have interest then others can never force you to teach.

Since you are new here, I will always tell you to read. Practice reading more The more you read, the more you learn. Always research Bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies. And this forum has many types of threads, which are very useful for newbies, you will read them. Also there are local boards, you can go there and speak in your own language. It will be more instructive for newbies. I request you to stay active here regularly. And read more about the forum.

Many newbies just want to come to the forum today and get used to the forum the next day, it doesn't work that way. I was once a newbie and the few things I know about the forum today is through reading. You won't learn a lot from making posts and asking people to tell you what to do. There are many boards to learn  from in this forum, click on them, scroll through and read. Questions should only come when you need clarity on some terms you find difficult to understand. I am tired of seeing posts from newbies saying "I'm new here, what should I do..." the only thing to be done is to read, read and read. You can only get exposed to certain information you never knew existed through reading. Reading can be time consuming but it is definitely worth it.

Everything in life is all about growth, we are growing and we need to keep up with that and not do something that would affect us or make or make us to fail to deception. Growth is what makes us keep increasing in knowledge and ability to do some certain things.
If we are very focused and have what it takes to reach some certain levels in the forums, we need to keep doing such things but it is very important for us to keep reading rules and working smartly to reach the top with too much drama.

Welcome to this forum. To be able to grow here, you need more of reading and researching than making new threads and according to what you said about discovering the beginners and help board, it's the same way you can use to find out that similar threads like this have been made and if you're looking for guidelines on how to operate here, the major things you need to know is that plagiarizing is an act frowned upon in this place.
Many other users have come here with hopes to 'know more ' about this place but end up losing interest because their aim of coming here is for the benefits attached and they will say they want to learn, but in all honesty aren't ready to learn.
its really an eye-opener, although it sounds like a herculus thing to learn but like you rightly stated we will know more as time progresses

if you want to learn about forum then go to meta board because you will get all the forum related question and answer their. It is a forum so here you will find all kinds of things.  But if you only want to know about forum then you must go to meta board. But it is best to go to your local board and ask your local board members the questions you need to know and understand more quickly.
Meta board can be a lot helpful but I think posting in your local board and posting what’s doubting in your mind can be a great start for a beginner. I’m sure a lot of members will definitely explain things for you and give you proper guidelines so you can start exploring the forum on your own. However, reading and understanding what you have read is a must so always bring good amount of patience so you will be more motivated to learn, and won’t feel tiring and boredom as you go on reading every thread in the forum.

For you to learn and be successful on the forum, you have to obey the rules and regulations governing the forum. Don’t plagiarise or use AI to generate posts; it will affect your account, which may discourage you from learning properly on the forum. However, don’t do like other newcomers who create many threads that will not help the community. Pinned post means the information in there are very vital and can aid to someone’s need, but most times if you don’t point your hand to it for newbies they might just see them in the topic and think they are not meant for them unless we tell them to check it out and all of that.

Most times too some of the newbies opening the thread can make it look very complex which they might be afraid to even start reading it but starting a few thread like this help other members break things down bit by bit to them on there own level of understanding.

Welcome to the forum.

Your first post after registration is your participation in the merit awarded if fulfilled challenge to sync and run a Bitcoin node for at least 14 documented days. Apparently you were able to read and understand NotATether's challenge rules.

It's good that you're eager to learn about this forum. Then why not ask more specifically what you have trouble to understand? Why not first read the sticky threads as already suggested here?

Your post here is so unspecific and asking for spoon feeding guidance. Seriously? I assume you're not a child. Don't behave like a lazy one that got used to spoon feeding...

I am a new member in this forum. I came across this Beginners & Help post and made this post.

That sounds like your first action after you registered (how I perceive it) but actually you posted already twice in [CHALLENGE] Run A Bitcoin Node: 14 Days To 14 Merits before you opened this thread here. I'm not sure why newbies feel the need and urge to post own threads of topics that have been posted a gazillion of times, especially in this Beginners & Help board when Lauda's sticky probably answers a lot of newbie questions. The stickies are there for a purpose.

Let's see if you ever will interact with your own thread further. I've some doubts, as happens so often.

Before you understand how this forum works, just make sure you understand that you do not paste content created by AI or any sort of plagiarism isn't supported.
Also, once you are aware of the ranks and promotions on this forum, do not go towards creating more posts. Make sure you create posts that are quality, not quanity.

Good Luck!

Just avoid anything that is distracting mostly once it come to investing on coin you have no knowledge of it, Bitcoin is the best one can invest  others are also good if and only if you have better knowledge but avoid quick to get Rich as this is not we're to get rich fast but need endurance and patience.

To make contributions, posts for discussion, a poster does not always need to add images.

Images if overused will become annoying and people with low internet connection, bandwidth will have difficulty to load pages of thread.

Newbies can not post images, by the way, and will need to rank up to Junior member (1 merit required) to post and display images. Alternative, buying the Copper membership to display images.

Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images.

You are already in the forum so getting idea about the forum will require you to read often and give yourself time to navigate every section so you get more answers from what has been asked and answered by other members which may be useful to you. It’s been some little thing I observe from the few times I’ve been here. Some users just create a content, I don’t know if they border to read the replies that people give but, you don’t find them responding in the topic anymore.
That’s a bad way to discuss!
I have also witnessed this countless times here in this forum, especially with newbies. Most times, I do feel they just know how to create a thread and don't know how to go back to the thread to see the replies that most of the members have made and the answers with suggestions that have been given.

Some also made the mistake of coming back, replying once, and leaving the thread untouchable. Even when their curiosity has been solved, they most often don't have time to lock the thread or grab the proper knowledge that they need to learn.

BTC, a coin of today and tomorrow.
I am a new member in this forum. I came across this Beginners & Help post and made this post. Please help me with a proper guide line how I can get idea about this forum.
I can count literally more than 10 posts of this nature.

Newbies should start by writing about this first. They should first by reading the Beginners & Help section. Even before going to the next page, everything question they have in mind to ask would already be answered. For example, there is literally this topic Newbies - Read before posting New pinned at the top  of the Beginners & Help section. If newbies read it thoroughly before they would not need to post these repetitive topics.
Most newbies don't enjoy reading in silence without being noticed. They rather will like to attract public attention. Maybe the essence of the public attention is to gain merits. If you look at the username of OP, you will understand that it was written all in upper case, which is also an attempt to attract attention. This is not only applicable to Op but to many other newbies. But only a few newcommers, will want to spend few weeks to read about the forum. And anyone that spends few days to tour and read about the forum will definitely figure out how many things work here themselves.

Welcome Op, I wish you a nice stay in the forum.

You can actually use the search icon to search for topics.  It will help you avoid making a duplicate posts. I have seen tons of similar posts like this from newbies seeking to get information about the forum and it gets tiring explaining one thing over and over again. I just wish newbies will learn to utilise the search icon.

If you want to learn about the forum, you have to use the other board comprising of the meta board and the beginners & help board. That is where you will see discussions about the forum and other relevant topics that will aid you smooth stay here. Welcome to this forum. To be able to grow here, you need more of reading and researching than making new threads and according to what you said about discovering the beginners and help board, it's the same way you cañ use to find out that similar threads like this have been made and if you're looking for guidelines on how to operate here, the major things you need to know is that plagiarizing is an act frowned upon in this place.
Many other users have come here with hopes to 'know more ' about this place but end up losing interest because their aim of coming here is for the benefits attached and they will say they want to learn, but in all honesty aren't ready to learn.

Just to order my two cents, find out what rules there is. I have no doubt some users would very well suggest them in this topic as it’s often the case but, after you’ve got an idea about what the rules are and the least tolerated, do your best to always read first before you start engaging.

While engaging, do well to remember that this forum is a discussion space and as it is with discussion, it’s talk and response when necessary. It’s been some little thing I observe from the few times I’ve been here. Some users just create a content, I don’t know if they border to read the replies that people give but, you don’t find them responding in the topic anymore.
That’s a bad way to discuss!

Welcome to this forum. It is good to know that since you are new here, you found this thread and wanted to know about this forum. Brother, let me tell you something, if you learn everything carefully, you can learn. If you do not do anything randomly in the forum, then the account will be banned from the forum. Stay well in the forum, and if you need to know anything, then say that there are many knowledgeable brothers in the forum who will help you.
I give some redactions for you, bro. I hope it helps to know about your forum.

A person named Lauda has opened a nice topic called Newbies - Read before posting and explain it nicely. If you read it well, then you will benefit and know.

Someone named mprep opened this topic on the Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, and FAQ and gave nice guidelines.

Someone named Tranthidung has done a Bitcointalk posting etiquette that will give you all kinds of ideas.

Like you, when I was new to the forum, I read these and picked up forum ideas.  I hope you find the forum useful. If you want to know more read the pin topics in all threads.
