Before the invent of cryptocurrencies, land properties have always been the investment that most people venture into. Owning landed properties have made people a lot of money in the past. Even in this age, those that were opportune to inherit from their forefathers or are from the past age, they still venture into landed properties and some still keep them for future generations to inherit from them. The good thing about landed properties is that, they always increase in value and you can’t be on a loss after inventing in them. They possess no volatile nature to the downside, as the price keeps appreciating on a yearly basis depending on the location it’s found in. They are hard to start investment in unlike crypto assets.

Cryptocurrency came and since the new age is all about technological advancement, people now venture more into digital assets than physical properties because of its easy way to own one and have a control of it from your end digitally. Cryptocurrency been one of the most popular amongst them that can be used as a means of investment comes with its disadvantage of been volatile in nature and because of this, it has made people to still want to diversify into landed properties to serve as a backup to this crypto investments that are very volatile in nature. Investing in bitcoin may come with lower risk but still doesn’t stop its vulnerability of volatility in nature. They are easy to start your investment in.

For example; Let’s say you invested #1.5m in crypto and the return in 5years is 10m and there’s a land 1.5m now in 5years the land will be 4-5m naira. And after you’ve taken ur profit, and you want to purchase a land now. There’s a probability that land space will no longer be available and even if it is you’ll be buying at twice or thrice the initial price thereby cutting ur crypto profit in half. And you might not even see a land space in your desired location which might push people to buy an already developed building, which can be more expensive and difficult (Because if property na 100million naira by the time you go don save to buy am the price go don move to 150m.) unless you’re pushing huge funds.
No doubt, investing in landed properties and digital currencies are very important and crucial for long term investment, but that doesn't mean if you opportuned to choose just only one to invest in, you shouldn't go for Bitcoin investment, because inasmuch as the value of a land or gold may appreciate over the years, when it comes to Bitcoin investment, it's profit margin will always be much higher than when it's invested in landed properties. Hence, if you are opportuned to diversity your investment portfolio, land, gold and Bitcoin are the best assets for long term investment.

Land normally na better investment option when be say if you go fit put your money into, e go give you better profit. The rate a lot of places de develop when de cause land to de appreciate no be small thing. Even though we know say when it comes to investment choice, Bitcoin na the oga kpata kpata of them all, to get both digital asset and a physical assets still sharp well.

One way when you fit use de buy land at ease na to make am say you fit de buy am at the end of the year make e be say you de use am reward yourself for the effort you don put from the start of the year till the end. Even if you never get the money to take start to run building for the land, if you buy am drop, you fit lease am out for agricultural purposes to use de see one or two funds.

Be careful of cryptocurrencies. This could be the fall of some people as they may get it wrong and invest wrongly or invest at the wrong time. Most of the coins will be pumped and later be dumped in a way that they will not get to all-time high in the next significant bullrun. It is good to make proper research before investing in altcoins. Also it is good to make proper research of when to invest before you invest in bitcoin.

As for physical assets, yes they are good. Especially the land that you used as example. But it is worth knowing that scammers are also many to sell you land in a way they will not give you the appropriate documents. Make sure that you have all the documents necessary rom the government about the land that you want to buy.

The main advantage of bitcoin is that you can buy low amount of it but physical assets are very expensive.

It is a good business decision to diversify your investment into different areas of businesses instead of putting all your eggs in one basket, so that if anything negative happens to one of them, you can survive on the other one. The advantage of Bitcoin investment over many other investments like real estate is that you don't need a lot of money to start holding Bitcoin, you can start with less than 50 thousand naira while you need millions of naira to start many investments like buying land and even more to build it. For most Nigerians who don't have a lot of money to go into capital intensive businesses, they can start with Bitcoin then later on go into other investments as their income and profits increases.

E go better pass say u get bitcoin wey be digital assets and you get physical assets too.
if the resource is available, getting a portfolio that comprises of an aspect of digital and some physical asset is not a bad idea and when it comes to a physical asset, land stands as one that appreciates in a manner that gives the owner good returns on investment as long as you buy the land in a good location. but then, thier are always going to be alternative to choose from when you are looking for means of investing in, but the most viable ones will be the one to start in and overtime when you are strong enough, you can choose to shift area on interest into something else.

owning land is best done when you have the capital needed for its development. if you just buy a 3-million-naira land and leave it undeveloped, in the next three years you might come back to the land to hear that it has been sold to another person or that a government project now lies on that land. invest that same 3 million in bitcoin in the last 3 years and you will discover that by this time, you should have had at least 3 times of what you bought that bitcoin. and as long as you hold your key safely, no one has the ability to take it away from you.

investing in landed asset is good but mainly for those that are already pretty much established but with bitcoin investment, all you need do is to stat with as little as 10k and you start to build your investment till it has grown.

@icelincoln this is a good topic.

One thing about bitcoin and crypto in general is that no one has a fact about when it will surge or dip. It happens in its own and can change your story within minute same way it can ruin your life and make you wait tirelessly again for another unannounced span of time.

In almost every walks of life, it's not always good to put one's eggs in one basket to avoid loosing all at a time.

I would rather suggest investing bitcoin rewards in other ventures like landed properties but not shunning bitcoin investment completely.

Landed properties can also be consumed by natural disasters but bitcoin is always there in your wallet and can only dip for a moment or surge other times.

Now as a Nigerian we know as rent Dey be, even now wey e be say everything don high even rent too dey on d high side now for some areas for the country.

I was chatting a friend, telling him about investing in land and he was like he’ll better invest it in crypto, Bitcoin precisely and it’ll give him more profits.

Yes you’ll get more profit investing in crypto but the land will not remain the same by the time ur profits come.
My suggestion is that while you’re investing in crypto as your able also invest in landed properties alongside. Land has lesser risk and low maintenance and security.
No wait till you cash out big before you Dey think of land coz by that time too those cheap lands nogo Dey again.

And again Nigeria is one of the best places to own a land and it’s very easy. If you own a land you can develop it into whatever property of your choosing: rental apartments, restaurants, stores or malls, etc.
So while you’re making your crypto investments also consider acquiring some lands. Unless you wish to be paying rent for life, and with current economic conditions not a good idea.

E go better pass say u get bitcoin wey be digital assets and you get physical assets too.
