Why i see many negative publication of bitcoin this week? From kidnapping, terrorism, fraud, and now ransom Angry
Looks like criminals now don't use bank or payment service anymore, but use bitcoin. Looks like bitcoin adoption is growing, especially for bad usage

Anyway, it's partially his fault for use that service

so easy man, there is always someone who want to take something by doing it, yes? i mean by made all those bad news related to bitcoin, don't worry about it, this just help bitcoin to spread his word more and more even if this is through all those bad news, dont forget that people are not stupid at all to know the truth( well al least i hope that xD )

Some Russian extortion bot is spamming the Ashley Madison email list with a canned threat and bitcoin address to send the funds. See:

http://nypost.com/2015/10/29/the-storm-isnt-over-yet-for-ashley-madison-cheaters/

Does anybody know what the address is? I want to find out how much the Russkies are making.

Come on, fess up. I know at least one of you losers had an Ashley Madison account. Oh, wait you have to be married to do that. Maybe not then.

Here is another one of the addresses. 1NfbMT1SpGfxwyaGJXjBt1VsUD7hy9pt2B

They were one of the first ransom letters out there and they were asking for 10 bitcoins.  Looks like 5 people paid.  I would say all the e-mails are probably being flooded now, And people know that paying won't stop anything.

I started tracing those Bitcoins but they have probably been sent through a mixer because they get split up and sent to loads of different addresses. The blackmailer will probably take a trip out of Russia and swap them for fiat at a foreign ATM if he's really from Russia. There are no questions asked Russian hosting services that people from all over the world use, so the blackmailer could be from anywhere and using A Russian service to host his extortion bot.

Those people are haling in quite some serious and easy coins...

Even though most Ashely Madison members deserve a punishment, extortion is not on my list of punishments.. Their life being destroyed by their spouse finding out is quite enough already.

Worst yet, coupled with being married, you would have to be a liar and claimed to be married, ergo eliminating most everybody on this forum. HAHAHA
