Nobody know the future. BRICS is simply doing what it takes to get out from under USD dominance, while making the best money they can make off the USD as it goes down.

So... I am still waiting for the alledged currency which the BRICS was going to launch anytime soon. Was not big news about a year agot how BRICS was going to the end the dominance of the United States? I recall seeing those news over and over again, all of it speculation and what is left from it?
Nothing has realistically changed... The United States continues to be the dominating force in the West and Russia rather than being the superpower which desires to be, it is stuck with a GBP which is lower than the ones of smaller countries in Europe.

I will continue to wait and see if ever the countries which are part of the coalition date to issue a common banknote, until then it is all hot air to me.  

BRICS doesn't start out any greater than anything else. They simply grow, like everything else (except Biden's popularity).

BRICS can easily become popular by creating a crypto currency that is redeemable in gold or silver, and has cash, as well. In fact, it is already developed for them... Tectum Softnote. All they need to do is implement it. US and Nato people will flock to something like this.

Fiat as we know it is done for.

This year's BRICS Games will usher in major changes to the global economy as an astounding 97 countries around the world have confirmed that they will be in attendance.

Scheduled to be hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin from June 12-24 in the Kazan region, the BRICS 2024 Games "are an integral part of the development of [Russia]," according to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

"Ninety-seven countries had already confirmed their participation ... The BRICS Games 2024, which were ordered to be organized following the decree of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, are an important part of our country's chairmanship in this organization."

Chernyshenko further revealed in a public statement that the upcoming tournament "must be organized at the highest possible level" with 20 different sports, much like the Olympic Games.

I also heard about this news and truly feel that Thailand knows how to create opportunities for itself. Joining the BRICS bloc probably has many different benefits/challenges.

Like becoming a member will help Thailand increase its position and influence in the region and globally. But it is also possible that BRICS has its own regulations and standards that Thailand needs to comply with, which may require policy and legal adjustments.

Anyway, this is a news that has received a lot of attention, showing Thailand's interest in BRICS but it is unclear whether BRICS members support Thailand's joining or not.

More and more countries are joining BRICS. Currently, "According to the International Monetary Fund, BRICS currently accounts for as much as 36% of global GDP in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP), compared to just over 30% for the G7. BRICS aims to overtake the G7 in nominal global GDP over the next four years, the head of the New Development Bank (NDB), Dilma Rousseff, said in February."

Thailand will apply to become a member of the BRICS economic bloc, the government of the Southeast Asian country announced on Tuesday.

The cabinet in Bangkok has approved the text of the official letter expressing Thailand’s intent to join the group, government spokesman Chai Wacharonke said in a statement quoted by local media.

According to Chai, the letter declares that Thailand understands the importance of multipolarity and the increasing role of developing countries in international affairs.

Thailand’s vision for the future is in line with BRICS principles and joining would benefit the country in many ways, including enhancing its role in the international arena and providing opportunities to take part in shaping a new world order, the letter reportedly says.
