I figured out the problem, and I'm not sure why this is the case, but apparently I can only run 5 erupters on the DLink 7-port hub (and that is with the power adapter, NOT usb only).  Thankfully the erupter is fine.  So instead I plugged the receiver for my keyboard into the hub and moved the fan over to the RasPi, and with some scotch tape magic (it was late at night and I couldn't find the packaging tape) I managed to orient the fan to something reasonable.   So it sounds like the fan could be pulling more power than what it was (it's the arctic breeze fan, if memory serves right), but whatevs, it works now, and i'm back to 2Gh/s Cheesy

Yeah, I think the problem was that the hub was not supplying enough power. I'm glad you fixed it.

perhaps try on BTCguild, they have a step by step guide for setting up your BE.
I'm already mining with them, and i'm going to try BFG miner tonight as well.  I'll let everyone know what my results are.  I'm also going to let that particular chip rest for a while too, hopefully it's just a heating problem. Sad;;;

atuall solid light normaly means that the units got power but not being used... make sure you only have 5 erupters in and unplug anything else from the HUB as 5 erupters is the normal for that hub... simply try restarting cgminer

Yeah, if the light stays solidly lit, there's probably something wrong.

Hi, I think that removing and  then puting back the problematic erupter will solve the problem.
That didn't work i'm afraid Sad

Did you tried to run the problematic one SOLO.
I will try that when I get home tonight, thanks Smiley  I'm also going to get 3.4.4 (or whatever the latest is) tonight and give that a whirl too.

Did you tried to run the problematic one SOLO. If it doesn't work solo, it is a hardware problem...
You could try to switch it off for a couple of minutes and test it again... if it doesn't work when connected directly to a 'master' usb port (without cable or hub)... if still doesn't work :-( it's broken!

Greetings!  This is my first post, I'm a computer scientist that likes cryptography and game theory, so I think I'm in the right place Smiley

I'm running a RasPi + 6 Erupters + usb fan + DLink 7-USB hub rig, and last night the light on one of my erupters stays solidly lit, even though cgminer (3.1.1) is showing a normal hash rate (333Mh/s), I have had only 6 accepted shares in the last 12 hours (and about 1.5k accepted shares on the other 5).  Is this a dead erupter (if so, can it be revived?) or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance!
