ASIC can only mine on one algo (exception for the Gridseed GC3355 that was both SHA256 and Scrypt, and the later SFARDS (which was half Gridseed half WiiBox) SF100 that was basically an updated GC3355 in a lot of ways).

If it's not designed for a specific algo, it CAN'T be used on it.

The Baikal only gets away with "multi-algo" because the algos it's designed for are largely the SAME - X11 uses a string of 11 different algos, X13 uses the same as X11 then adds 2 more algos,  X15 adds 2 more algos  to X13, and Qubit is one of the algos used IN X15 - and Baikal appears to have set their mining chip up so they can "tap into" the inputs and outputs of the parts that does each individual algo and route the data as needed.

Not worth it. Even if the coin goes up like 1000x (which is not possible), the amount you will mine with that small miner will be very little.

Only way those USB miners would be worth it is if you could go back in time to 2009 and mine with them then.

Everywhere I read people act like it's too late to use USB miners to mine, but what if you just mined coins other than bitcoin that weren't that valuable now, but you feel might have potential down the road? (game credits, cure coin, etc.)

Yes it's a gamble, but wouldn't they be killing it in mining these cheap coins compared to cpu/gpu mining?  What am I missing here?

Anyone on the forum have real life experiences they could share?

Also...

1.  Can you mine any currency that doesn't have an ASIC resistant algo? (SHA-256, Scrypt, X11, Quark, Qubit, Etc.)

2.  Those of you who have bought and used the USB stick, does it seem worth it so far?

3.  Is it complicated to setup and get started?  ie - Does it need special drivers or a special miner to mine?  (If so could someone provide a link)
