In my case it was to discover the fact that Bitcoin was an alternative to the current central bank monetary system. It wasn't just an asset to make money. Its deflationary, decentralized characteristics were what caught my attention.

I was brought into this crypto space like others for making money but I liked the idea of being my own bank.

When I learned about the Blockchain technology I knew I was going to be in this for the long run.

Ofcourse.
There are other ways to make money online without getting involved in Crypto, but when you realize that you don't have much control or say over the system, crypto becomes a more attractive and safer option.

For me the main reason to go into the crypto world was trying to understand something new. I followed the financial crisis in 2008 very closely and knew from the start that something has to change. The fiat currency system is no long term solution. Being part of Bitcoins and crypto world now is being part of the future. In my opinion there is no way around digital currencies.

“The Great Reset” is bringing me back after 3 years , and ofcourse the volatility.
I cant see a future with fiat as currency.. and I don’t want to miss the boat yet again.. I could have been rich but my parents talked me out of it. Now i am free to do what I want.  I am not going to buy my first car... first stop is 0.1BTC before 2021.

I'm into online selling. I was scammed through paypal back in the days and that was the reason I got into crypto space.

I tried to ask help in the local forum we have but some users were suggesting Bitcoin for monetary transaction and then I got curious as well. I guess my reason still still considered financial?

Aside from making money I think it is the anonymity at first I like to buy or pay somethings that would also hide my identity.
I don't want to give out my personal information to random sites so when I found out about Bitcoin it really gain my interest.

The idea of it.

It's very new to me and with its blockchain technology, someone who's into this thing would really make him curious. Got into faucets and I was totally new to it until I learned things slowly.

I am still thinking that early adopters were lucky that managed held until now.

Financial motive was secondary for me otherwise I would be as "wealthy" as my younger siblings whose jobs are never really my kind of thing, even if you pay me double what they currently earn..

Do you have your own family mate? do you have people relying their life on you? If does then there is something wrong here,Because we are Making money for them so anything that will offer us more than what we are having as long as legit? then we will grab it.

but if you are still single? then i understand your stand here.

Really sorry if that makes you feel bad. I wrote that to let others understand how much I care about my ambition. No amount of money will make me abandon it. I wonder what life will be without fulfilling it.
I prefer the family part to be private matter.

Yeah i respect that part mate, sorry also asking that ,I just thought about the difference of those two and that affects your decision making but since you are Strict in your ambition then maybe I'll paused on that part and will just Wish you continues success and More enjoyment in life.

I arrived in 2015 but I was buying since 2014. My main reason was investment & the chance of making big profits which luckily have & continue to work well. In the early days it was fun & cool to be anonymous & be my own bank. That’s changed a lot now with KYC everywhere but I wouldn’t change anything, I’m so glad I was lucky to be involved early.

Curiosity i guess, though it wasn't really clear from the beginning .

back in years when Bitcoin is just being promoted little by little, A college friend ask  me for a Service but has no funds to pay me,though I'm not asking for a High charges as we are alma matters.  He offered me this crypto as payment, knowing that he literally starting again from a Hard fall I accept this coins as Formal payment for the job.

from that time i almost forgot about this until  one Day He contacted me asking if i kept the private key where i store my coins, but sadly i forgot or maybe misplaced because i'm not really interested back then.

till i was shocked when i hear Him said, the value is now more than a thousand dollar per coins and he pays me a more than a hundred coins.

From that moment i Dig and Dig how to find or recover my Funds ,but sadly the exchange that i use to store was already dead .

So instead of Blaming myself or Bitcoin yet i choose to stay and Learn about this, Making a Goal to own my first BTC literally Mine .

I think mine was mainly destiny. I have always imagined (and wrote about) having a Autonomous safe Nation in cyber space prior to knowing about cryptocurrency.. , a Nation free of lawlessness, corruption and not control by tyrants, dictatorship, etc. You won't believe how excited I was when I discovered Bitcoin/crypto, I felt strongly back then that this is a place to try the idea of Automonous Nation in cyber world. I believe I discussed alot about it in my early days on this forum, and on reddit, telegram etc.
I usually got frustrated after joining projects that seem really great only to notice that participants are more interested in money than  Ideals.
