I believe it uses (or rather will use) ensilica chips, the A2 uses innosilicon chips. I'm not sure what you mean by your question "are they the same?", no they are not at all the same the A2 actually exists and has for some time, the "Vaultbeaker" does not exist.
Do as you want of course, but I would hold off doing price/performance/watt calculations considering that GAW's last preorder product came in at 4 times the wattage it was supposed to.
