@NASdaq: thanks, mate!

@asuryan180 and @everyone, here's a couple of links to take a look at:

Latest news from the Drachmae project, which is based on Nxt technology: they are in partnership with Fashion TV and a greek TV production company to set up a "Greeces Next Supermodel" TV show. Heres the IndieGoGo page for what will probably become 'Athena' :
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/athena-model-contest-agistri-island-greece-tv-show#/story

And heres some Forbes coverage for the proposed show:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/rogeraitken/2015/08/20/greek-crisis-agistri-islands-supermodel-tv-project-could-raise-fortunes-in-cryptocurrency-twist/

This is an example of what Nxt is doing: building infrastructure and partnerships in both crypto and the real world, bringing useful crypto technology to the non-crypto world while getting as much mainstream attention for crypto (and Nxt, naturally) as possible.

And, just for laughs, heres the latest technical addition to Nxt for the crypto-nerds: full support for offline transaction signing.
This allows for completely 'cold' air-gapped storage of NXT, with transaction authorisations transferred via QR code or USB

How is nxt not an instamine ico scam?

Back from my vacation, and back to the same old questions................. Grin

Take a look through the original [ANN] thread for Nxt:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-nxt-descendant-of-bitcoin-303898
You can see there exactly how Nxt was created, developed and distributed in it's first few months of existence from September 2013 onwards.

Now take a look at the technology that Nxt is offering:
http://www.nxttechnologytree.com/
Nxt has delivered a lot of functionality over the last 2 years.

How is nxt not an instamine ico scam?

Check how NXT was launched. Everyone had the chance to invest and participate. Max investment was 1 BTC. After launch every investor got the corresponding amount in nxt. Furthermore it is no POW but rather POS.

How is nxt not an instamine ico scam?

Because it was public and open for two months. And NXT doesn't have mining, so the term instamine doesn't apply anyway.

What do you think about the AE. is it helping or destroying the NXT ecosystem?
IMO it's much more helping.
AE is the only thing that gives NXT a $10,000,000 cap.

Irregardless of whether many NXT AE Assets are bubbles or carefully planned ponzis...
They have actual value and, by definition, can be converted at any time into NXT currency.

Therefore, the value of NXT currency must be >>> value of all NXT Assets.

AE Assets are often referenced as "beeing pathetic". On Coinmarketcap's Exchanger rankings the AE continually looses ground.

So yes, the AE Assets value gets reflected on NXT exchange rate.
Yeah i understand this. But in a good or a bad way? Scam assets isn't influencing the price in a bad way? ( least even those generate high volume on ae)

I love The NXT concept And its community. While I think it's a 2018-2020 concept, I could really use some buy support through 5500 satoshi in the present day. Can you help me out? Thanks in advance for your attention to this matter.

The Big Kahunas at NXT will never understand or want (A)... so I don't trade there anymore.

What makes you say that they wouldn't want A?

And even if that were true for whatever reason, InstantDEX is coming soon which is aimed at opening the door to make A a reality.

The Coin-O-Mat dividend system is great. It costs them 1 NXT to send me dividends of like 1.14593 NXTs; they don't seem to mind. So I actually bought more because I felt bad for them.

You're in Coinomat, eh? I've been in coinomat's MMNXT Asset, and I really like it. It pays almost like clockwork every week, and the return's decent.

In fact, I had this to say about it at the Nxt forum:

Quote from: Nxtblg
...there's one thing about MMNXT: it always pays. Regardless of the dividend's ups and downs - which is actually the best "proof of legitimacy" there is, because profit fluctuations are real life in the real market-making world - the dividend always comes through, week after week after week....

I gotta admit, the 1 NXT fee, is what is standing in my way of trading more actively... especially with my shares that are worth <1 NXT...

=squeak=

But now I haven't been able to check on the price for a while because my NXT database won't load. I suspect many others are undergoing the same problems and thats why the price remains so low.

Once they get a working client, it will rise up again somewhat -- at least for a while.

is it possible to have NXT wallet on android?

yes search up "nxt vault" on android play store. you have to use it in combination with the online wallet effectively giving NXT a 2 factor authentication feature. more of that will be coming in the next release called "account controls".
it is 5 star and.. 100 downloads.. is it legit?

You have to be patient with NXT. Set low orders and wait for a whale is selling or flash crash and sell it on the next bulltrap.. These bulltrapps happen every 2-3 month before te price is going down again.

If you buy NXT and hold it for longterm you will probably lose money and daytrading is not possible without a big exchange

AE Assets are often referenced as "beeing pathetic". On Coinmarketcap's Exchanger rankings the AE continually looses ground.

So yes, the AE Assets value gets reflected on NXT exchange rate.

The AE "loses ground" and cannot develop stable, growing volume...
Because NXT ignores Frederick Hayek's prescription for thriving markets with good price discovery.

(A)
Hayek said a market MUST attract 100s or 1000s of small, active traders with differing views and agendas...
This creates a healthy market with excellent price discovery and real liquidity.

(B)

NXT is designed for whales to put up buy/sell walls and manipulate their own Assets...
In the NXT Forum this shady fakery is viewed as "liquidity" = false.

The Big Kahunas at NXT will never understand or want (A)... so I don't trade there anymore.

i think its still too early for nxt for A to happen as the "mega-distribution" is still happening. as long as devs keep pumping out code with an active community it will get things a bit more distributed due to whales dumping. its just a matter of time. AE is only a little over 1 year old, so factor that in.
