is it possible to have NXT wallet on android?

yes search up "nxt vault" on android play store. you have to use it in combination with the online wallet effectively giving NXT a 2 factor authentication feature. more of that will be coming in the next release called "account controls".

What do you think about the AE. is it helping or destroying the NXT ecosystem?
IMO it's much more helping.
AE is the only thing that gives NXT a $10,000,000 cap.

Irregardless of whether many NXT AE Assets are bubbles or carefully planned ponzis...
They have actual value and, by definition, can be converted at any time into NXT currency.

Therefore, the value of NXT currency must be >>> value of all NXT Assets.

AE Assets are often referenced as "beeing pathetic". On Coinmarketcap's Exchanger rankings the AE continually looses ground.

So yes, the AE Assets value gets reflected on NXT exchange rate.

The AE "loses ground" and cannot develop stable, growing volume...
Because NXT ignores Frederick Hayek's prescription for thriving markets with good price discovery.

(A)
Hayek said a market MUST attract 100s or 1000s of small, active traders with differing views and agendas...
This creates a healthy market with excellent price discovery and real liquidity.

(B)

NXT is designed for whales to put up buy/sell walls and manipulate their own Assets...
In the NXT Forum this shady fakery is viewed as "liquidity" = false.

The Big Kahunas at NXT will never understand or want (A)... so I don't trade there anymore.

Does Nxt have a race with Bitshares to see who dives faster?

Good question! NXT is great... its just that the megadistribution is still underway.

{ ...snip... }

So to answer your question, retooled as "When are we finally going to see enough outside demand pressure to overwhelm the stakeholder dumping... err... distribution to finally put NXT in a solid long-term bullish trend?", I suggest the proper answer is, "not until Nxt has a stable-enough codebase to welcome in folks who prefer wallet stability."
and also when it has a more user-friendly, feature-rich client, which, while still offering a browser interface, does not depend on a browser to function.

what's with the necro & spam posts bro?

He's fighting "spam" with "spam", actually. His idea was to get all those Monero threads off page 1.

It's all in the demand, my friend. If it's any consolation, a tight-knit community with little outside adoption is the best environment for managing & implementing those hardforks needed to implement all those innovations. Just compare the implementation record of Nxt's recent hardforks with the, uh, implementation path of Bitcoin's most recent softfork.

And then compare the smoothness of the entire process from hardfork proposal to new-and-improved codebase in Nxt with the, uh, spirited discussion of any proposed hardfork in Bitcoin's codebase.

The Bitcoin conservatives have solid ground to stand on, after all. Bitcoin is embedded into the "real" economy to the point where the implementation of any hardfork - no matter how necessary - would be a logistical nightmare. From this angle, Bitcoin is a victim of its own success.

So to answer your question, retooled as "When are we finally going to see enough outside demand pressure to overwhelm the stakeholder dumping... err... distribution to finally put NXT in a solid long-term bullish trend?", I suggest the proper answer is, "not until Nxt has a stable-enough codebase to welcome in folks who prefer wallet stability."

is nxt security? it is said that bter was hacked 500m  nxt
50m, not 500m. The difference matters; 500m would have been 50% of NXT, which would have been an existential threat. 50m is only 5%, and not a problem. And now most of that has been returned.

The Bter hack was not a Nxt security issue. As far as I can tell, they were using a cloud server account for which they hadn't enabled 2-Factor Authorisation, and they re-used the same password. They were stupid. They've accepted it was their mistake.
