If you think it's too dangerous find a light head brush and little petrol to brush the pcie slot lightly, be careful when doing this, note, you should do all this after confirming that the riser you use is working perfectly

And have the board upside down as it may be small debris so it can fall out.

But ive seen the pcie bridge take damage before.

Remove the gpu that got hot, I'm guessing it's bricked already, it can cause some other problems like display issue if still paired with other graphic cards, if the hot gpu works standalone 🤔 then I may be wrong, the next thing I'd look into is the pcie slot, go inside a dark room and use a pin to scratch the mouth of the pcie slot gently, believe me ive did this before and it works

If it is always the white slots you may have damaged 1 side of the PCIe bridge.  No easy fix for that so either use for 7 or replace it.

If you connect only 2 gpus, does one in the white slot and the other in the black slot work correctly?

I had a similar problem in the past, but the problem was with one of the gpus.

My rig was off for a couple of years. Managing finally to have some place to put it, I turned it on today. I managed to get my 11 gpus working (8 RX580 + 3 1070), but one gpu got hot and the HiveOS rebooted. And then the problems started.

When the OS booted, only 5 gpus were being recognized. I tried it all, even updated the BIOS to 1.60, but in the end, just the black slots are working. I always had the 1x risers taped so they don't short when they touch eachother, so the problem is not that.

On the new bios, all the white slots appear red and the other appear green.

Any clue on what may be happening?

TY a lot.
