this is what it says for PCIe  on the specs sheet:

- 5 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots (PCIE2: x16 mode or PCIE1/PCIE3/PCIE5/PCIE7: x16/0/16/0 or x8/8/8/8 mode)
- 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (PCIE4: x4 mode)
- 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot
- 1 x mini-PCI Express slot: For WiFi + BT module
- Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX™, 4-Way CrossFireX™, 3-Way CrossFireX™ and CrossFireX™
- Supports NVIDIA® Quad SLI™, 4-Way SLI™, 3-Way SLI™ and SLI™

*PCIe Gen3 is supported on 3rd Generation of Intel® Core™ i5 and Core™ i7 CPUs.

Also when i put 1 gpu in the first PCIe slot, and a 2nd one in the 2nd PCIe slot, it only see the first card in windows, is this normal?

Whatever i try, it seems when i try to put a gpu in slot 2,3 or 7, its not showing in windows, tried all combinations

Hello,

i have a Asrock Z77 EXTREME 9 and i can only get 4 gpu's to work.
Im using old ribbon powered risers, and windows 10 64 bit, 18.2.2 AMD drivers. RX550 gpu's.

I tried different combinations, but so far i can only get the board to recognize GPU's in slots 1, 4,5,6 ( counting from top to down, top being closest to CPU.
When i add my 5th gpu in either of the remaining slots, its still not recognized in Windows. I have tried different combinations.

I even found an older topic on this forum where a bittalk member was asking the same, and he got it to work, he said he had to enable GEN2 PCIE in the bios, wich i did too.

This is the topic:

Hope someone has the answer for how to fix this, i will give him/her 5 merit.
