If they are going to offer vanilla Radeon products then it's no different from any other OEM.
If they are going to build custom chips based off of AMD's tech then it's another discussion... Bit unclear from that article.

Thats good news, ASRock has made some very good mining products, I got both their motherboards and phi racks for excellent prices.

well, Asrock must compete with another brand and must be making miners a trust that the product can better or at least parallel, moreover if cheaper price it and good performance it.

According to the market flow: More competition, less price.

It stated "GPU Mining Market", are they planning to make mining algorithm optimized no display GPUs?
That will cut off lots from the price tag.

They are planning to sell Video Cards, that's normal for an expanding manufacturer.

meh - didn't Gigabyte make motherboards long ago, before they branched out into Video and full blown systems (Desktops/Laptops)...
 so now Asrock is branching out into Video cards - hope they price them cheap (or at least less expensive than what we are seeing now)
