What are your thoughts on the "BCH" war?  What I see is a splinter and dilution of assets.  When you add it all up, BCH that was worth around $500 is now about the same if you consider recent valuations of "BCH ABC", "BCH SV", and the original "BCH".

If I'm not wrong, the original BCH is now BCHABC so there are only BCHABC and BCHSV now. That means that the joint value is much lower, even taking into account the recent market drop. It was supposed to be a war with one winner and one big loser, but it's quite possible that this war ends up with both sides losing it all.

Yes, there are some that say BCH is the real bitcoin now considering Segwit and maybe other future alterations to bitcoin.

i always found this statement of them pretty funny considering how much of SegWit they have actually adopted already Cheesy
it is just that they don't call it "SegWit" and it doesn't have some parts. for example they have already adopted BIP173 which is bech32 addresses or the native SegWit address and call it cash address!
they have adopted BIP143 which is transaction signatures for version 0 segregated witness program but call it "adapted BIP143" while it  does the same thing with a different sighashtype Cheesy

The guest watched bchsv closer to the Bitcoin white paper, but it sounds like a joke, bitcoin can't be surpassed, and bitcoin is invincible for at least a decade. No coins are its opponents.

it's hard to believe that the split coin is the best coin. formerly bitcoin vs bitcoincash, many say BCH is the real bitcoin but in reality "bitcoin satoshi nakamoto" remains the most popular.

Yes, there are some that say BCH is the real bitcoin now considering Segwit and maybe other future alterations to bitcoin.  But we also have to consider what BCH really is.  BCH can never be the real bitcoin because it did not have egalitarian POW origins as bitcoin did.  If BCH were CPU and then GPU minable I might agree.

Many have called BCH "Bitmain Cash" because Bitmain essentially is the majority owner of BCH coins through their vast ASIC POW and subsidized or extremely low cost electricity resources.

There is just no way to call something "Satoshi's Vision" when the impetus of coin generation is ASIC derived.

In general, I hope that when this war ends, both sides will lose and this will be beneficial for the real Bitcoin. All these manipulative games are having no sense

I haven't been following BCH SV vs BCH war, but regardless, these are all profit driven endeavors. The whales have everything to gain right now from manipulating subject matters and pumping another fork. People will lose a lot of money, others will make millions. It all depends on your position. They have laid the bait out, for the average investor to bite into this latest fad.

Will it take hold, will we see a massive pump of BCH SV in the future, potentially. BCH SV is a crypto still, anything can happen. This is all uncharted waters for the most part.

As you stated, value is derived from acceptance, mass acceptance or awareness leads to profit, nothing else. Anyone can claim anything, but is there real substance to back it up other than ideologies?

And the "BCH SV" team wants to tell us that this is the real bitcoin?  uh... no.

The real bitcoin will soldier on like it has.  It has the most acceptance, the most infrastructure... You DO NOT just waltz in and declare your new alt-sh!t-coin as the new King of Crypto.  Segwit or no Segwit... to say that BTC is damned to its original form and not be allowed to transform for modern demands is senseless.

lol...

What I think will happen is that this is one more nail in the BCH coffin.  They have successfully divided themselves to be conquered.
