Thank you for this information I believe I am using Ckpool as suggested in the support forum.

That's the pool user statistics I'm trying to make sense of.

I believe I have got it working, it is showing me the same information now that it does in the forum when people have been successful and I've asked a couple friends who believe it appears to be working but I don't understand the pool user statistics that I am am getting to know for myself and nobody seems able to translate them for me :/

You guys have been so helpful, just having someone to bounce off has been a great support, can't thank you enough.

I am just starting to learn mining, I try google and it gives me heap of irrelevant information and a headache unfortunately which is how I ended up here, People seem friendly and very knowledgeable which I hope would be a good resource to help understand this more as I am very interested in expanding my knowledge on the subject.

I am using a GekkoScience2Pac BM 1384 stickminer, I have been directed to use Cgminer and I am using Windows OS.

If you have a GekkoScience stickminer, connectionto a pool that shares block reward is useless.  You  wont make anything.
It's going to take you 162 thousand days to make one bitcoin... or never.  Pool stats are meaninless to you unless you manage to submit a result with "bestshare"  922 billion in which case you have probably solved a block.  This would only benefit you if you were running on a solo pool though... such as ck's solo pool.

sorry if I havent been clear, my understanding at this point is quite basic as I have just gone from GPU to ASIC mining.  My equipment arrived a lot faster than I had anticipated which would usually be great but Im now trying to figure how how to use it as it is far more complicated than the software I have been using previously that was fairly straightforward.

When I go to ckpool it gives me the option to view "user statistics" and I am trying understand what they all mean and how they are relevant/translate into how efficiently I am mining into received bitcoins.

The ASIC stick that I am using appears to work but I am not able to properly read the data provided to know for sure.

I believe it is not doing as it should and im not sure what I am doing incorrectly or have possibly missed.  I am on the GekkoScience support forum looking for people experiencing similar issues but I was hoping someone would be able to help me make sense of all the data so that I can understand what I am looking at :/

thank you so much for your help!

Your description is really bad and all you have us was words tou want the meaning of. Some of these words have to be used in a sentence or label something to make sense. But I will help as much as I can so here goes:

cumulated"
 "postponed"
 "herp"
 "derp"
"worker" - Your accounts main name
   "workername"- Single miner machines.
"hashrate1m" hashrates over last 1 minutes
   "hashrate5m" 5 minutes
   "hashrate1hr" 1 hour
   "hashrate1d" 1 day
   "hashrate7d" 1 week
"lastshare" last shared block on the pool.
"shares" each moner has shares according to his or her total hash power.
   "bestshare" The highest share
   "lns" Don't know
"luck" - luck when mining blocks. Luck finding and solving blocks
   "herp - Not sure

If you want to know more just ask.

yes I believe that does help but I am still quite unsure what accumulated and postponed means in particular.

Accumulated means the amount of shares you have gained in the whole round of mining. Postponed means something that wouldn't continue in that certain round. Are you into mining or something that you want to know these terms? Pretty easy to Google them tbh. And may I know what mining platform are you using so that I can know how to guide you through it?

When I go to check my user statistics with my pool it gives me a heap of terms that I do not really understand.  There are some that I believe I understand but I am not entirely sure so I am going to ask anyway.

If someone can please explain to me what these terms mean, how they are relevant, what kind of numbers would I be ideally looking for and how they are influenced. I am wanting to have a better understanding and any helpful assistance would be appreciated.

"accumulated"

 "worker"
   "workername"
   "hashrate1m"
   "hashrate5m"
   "hashrate1hr"
   "hashrate1d"
   "hashrate7d"
   "lastshare"
   "shares"
   "bestshare"
   "lns"
   "luck"
   "herp"

This are all related to mining, I assume?
Accumulated is pretty straightforward, so is postponed.
Herp and derp are just nicknames given for workers. Worker and workername are just the same things.
Hashrate1m, 5m, 1hr, 1d, 7d pertains to the "effort" that you have been exerting within the given intervals 1 minute, 5  minutes, 1 hour, 1 day and 7 days.
Lastshare is the shares you accumulated in the last mining round (or block).
Shares is the amount of work you did that was accepted.
Bestshare, same as above.
LNS = last n shares.
Luck - probability factor.

Hope I helped.

The hashrate is calculated based on the difficulty and the number of blocks found in a given period of time so hours, days, months.
Luck is calculated based on the probability of solving a block.  Solving more blocks than the probablistic average translates to greater than 100% luck.  This can also be calculated for hours, days, months... Can't explain more as i have to board my flight.
