My hashrate slowly going down with my rigs with 7950, tried restart windows, miners - no solution. Was 19mhs, now 18.5, 18->17.5 and etc. anyone have same problem?

You are not alone. Only the 380(x), 390(x) and Ry Fury, nano will keep the hash rate. That is due to DAG file size increase.

Everyone with 79x 2xx cards have that issue, as the DAG progress and get bigger hash speed drop, atm I have 7950 doing 19.3Mh (slit bios) and 280x doing ~19 (stock bios) at 1030Mhz

Only tonga 380x and 290x hashspeed do not drop with DAG increase, also so far NV is not effected

memory on 1250 is droped hash to 19Mh, 1500Mhz gained some 0.4% from 1490Mhz but I don`t know if its stable, never fully tested it with Stilt bios, all mine setting and voltages are primary done for LTC three years ago

I have flashed bios of my Asus 7950 for increasing TDP to 50% and to 200W(was 142W), dunno what this parameters do but it helped me reach 1525Mhz on memory.
That memory boost increased my hashrate in Ethereum to 18.6Mhz. Using 15.12 Catalyst

If you use the Stilt BIOS mod, the memory frequency is best to operate at the 1250 or the 1500MHz.

Ethereum is very easy on GPU/VRM load, the card is not pushed more then 60%, maybe eth+dcr push it ~90%, let try mine XPM (primecoin) or so and you will see what real abuse of power usage is Smiley
As I sad I am using bios mod from slit from litecoin forum long time ago, that must be the reason I am managing to push 20Mhs

That's pretty impressive I would say. I think I am getting like 19.50mh/s with my 280x at 1100/1600. Maybe I need to switch my drivers to 15.8

nope driver will not help, mine last installed are 15.12, afterburner is old few years.. 3.0.1
as I sad memory timing are edited for 5% more speed for LTC(there were guy at litecoin forum from amd), maybe that is helping ethereum also

claymore is 4.1

What version of Claymore is that?

Maybe if you have just one GPU, on my first GPU which is connected to monitor I have ~18.5, other two 7950 has 19.8Mhs with DCR and a bit more around 20Mhs without

sure in past I had a lot more but its droping fast, also my memory timings are a bit optimized for scrypt (bios mod) a long time ago, so that could be also helping

I have uninstalled my current drivers via uninstall panel + DDU cleanup and installed :

1. 15.8 Ati Catalyst driver - gave me 16.3Mh/s through EthDcrDual Miner
2. 15.12 Ati Catalyst driver - game 17.1Mh/s

As you guys can see nothing changed. How do i approach 20+Mh/s for Ethereum ?!?!?

I just tried to mine Shift(ethereum fork) and it shows 22Mh/s

Your speeds are correct. The DAG file grows and these 7950 cards mine slower. I get like 18.5MH/s with my Asus 7970 but only because I overclocked them to 1100/1575.

Shift will be faster because the DAG file is smaller. Overtime it will slow down. All Tahiti cards are like this.

That reb0rn guy who replied earlier probably isn't posting his current speed but his speeds from a few weeks ago.

I mine eth and dcr

Its old version of afterburner... so version mu be wrong, but I have not cleaned old drivers so who knows

Those were clocks for scrypt mining long time ago, duno if ethereum need memory so high

also I am sorry but looks like my driver are 15.12 (15.300.1025.1001) not 15.8 (msi afterburner mistake)

also you don`t need to use any extra settings for claymore, but if you mine DCR also increase power limit in afterburner also

if your msi afterburner shows 15.8 version then that's what you have. happened to my system as well when i reinstalled driver without cleaning installation in a proper way.
what pool are you using for Claymore ethereum mining ? It was hard to point card to pool using Claymore miner. Could you share your executing bat file ?

Also power limit is set to +20.
I will try 15.8 and 15.12 as well, making reinstall with DDU cleanup.

Asus 7950 DCII, 1030Mhz GPU, 1490Mhz memory (1.094v GPU)
15.8 driver

Claymore ethereum miner 20Mhs on ethereum

thank for info ! going to try 15.8 driver. good your card can make 1490 Mhz. I've tried 1500mhz and have to downgrade it to 1475...1450..1425...1400 <- final point where i got no screen freezes. I've tried to increase memory voltage, but even if i drag MSI afterburner select to 1700mV and press apply - graph shows only 1600mV on memory

Hello, bro's. I have a simple 1GPU system that has next specifications:

Windows 7
Ati Catalyst 15.11 Crimson stable (not beta) edition
7950 Asus clocked at 1088mV , 1100 mHz core, 1400 mHz mem.
ethminer 0.9.41 or Claymore's Dual Miner 4.4 Beta.

I got 22,7 Mh/s when running on Shift network(Ethereum fork) and 23Mh/s when executing Benchmark option in ethminer.exe -M --opencl

But trying to mine Ethereum gives max 17.6Mh/s. No matter what i try.

What have i tried to do ?
1. Played around with --farm-recheck 200 300 400 500 100 parameter and also with --cl-local-work 128 256, --cl-global-work 8192 16384 22204
2. Tried ATI 16.5.3, 15.11.1 Beta drivers
3. Switched core clock to 900, 1000. And mem clock to 1250
4. Used 3 different pools - nanopool, ethpool, ethereumpool.
5. Tried mining GETWORK or STRATUM. Tried using pool's eth-proxy to produce faster work for card.

Some changes affect but i never get my desired 20+Mh/s on Ethereum. Why so ? How do i reach that desired hashrate ?
