I totally overlooked the obvious it's been a while since I've had to do this.  All I had to do was short the slots and all is good.  woohoo

I burned precisely the same motherboard that way. I'm now a proud owner of a spare i7-870  Roll Eyes

I am setting up a rig for my friend with 4 R9 280x using this mobo and the mobo will only see 2 cards.  I've tested each card and riser individually, everything works fine, but I can't get the mobo to see more than 2 cards no matter which combination of slots I use.  using drivers 13.12

Any ideas?
