Im using several Asus Z270f boards with 7 cards each, without a hiccup. Just turn on above 4G decoding, put all pcie to gen1 and disable everything you arent using.

I am using the same board with 1080ti but I'm having problems with the 7th graphic card.. It detects 6 but not the 7 for some reason (tried with gen 1 pci-e but no change). Any advice?

I have the same board and 1060 cards, but for the life of me I cannot get past 4 cards.  4G is enabled, also tried PCI speeds of Gen 2,  nothing.  4 is the max.  Any suggestions or pointers?

On nicehash blog I saw an article about Asus Prime Z270-A here https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=news&id=155

Seems that it can handle up to 8 gpu without any mods

Anyone have any insight on processors and what effect they have on multiple GPU rigs?  I have 2 rigs I am working on right now and can not seem to get above 4 cards on either rig.

Asrock H170A-x1  with Intel Pentium Skylake G4400 3.3GHz and 4 GB ram Win 10.

Asus Prime H270-Plus/CSM with Intel Celeron Kaby Lake G3930 2.9 GHz with 4 Gb Ram and Win 10

I had planned to run 5x RX 470 on the Asrock with 5 slots and build an Nvidia rig on the Asus platform.
right now I have 4x RX 470 on the Asrock and 3x GTX 1060 and 1x RX 470 on the Asus.

Any suggestions or input would be GREAT!!
Thanks Guys

The Z270 chipset is the best for multi GPU- mining so far. It is absolutely the best motherboard to house 6 GPU-s without problems at all. I prefer MSI motherboards always as they are my favorite brand but if it's not possible to buy at your country, Gigabyte motherboards are next in list.

Anyone tried Asus STRIX Z270E yet? I want a good motherboard for personal use, which is also capable of running 4-5 GPUs for mining.

Hello guys!
I am searching for mobo with 6 or 7 gpu support. Asrock h81 pro btc Biostar tb85 and Msi Gaming 5 currently unavailible to buy in my country,
Does anyone have any experience with this mobo - 6 or 7 gpu's working fine? Or maybe any other mobo with skylake 2** series chipsets?

this mobo does 5 cards

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128966&cm_re=aorus-_-13-128-966-_-Product

zero issues with 5 cards.  I would assume it could do six  but I did have issues with six.

Getting a 160-180$ Gaming board to use for mining is kinda overkill. A better alternative even tho it would consume a bit more power would be to get 2 of these

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132871&cm_re=1151-_-13-132-871-_-Product

with a psu 24 pin spliter cable from ebay and the cheapest cpu/ram you can get...

This way is safer since if one mobo fails you still got the other one.

I am a newegg reviewer my cost was zero. If you read the link you can read my review.

Buying this board in bulk to mine is not what I would do.  Given the board to review I maxed at 5 cards.

So people would know if the z270 chipset goes past four cards.

great testing mate thanks and keep itup,

im looking for a new 6 card + board

If you would have used the search function you would know it already without the need to open a new thread.
Just search for Z270...done
